Our client provides a rapid response service, intervening to ensure no one needs to sleep rough; their work is ongoing and they are currently looking for inspirational people to join their Somewhere Safe to Stay (SSTS) team in West London, currently based in Shepherds Bush. As an Assessment and Reconnection Worker, you will:

Be part of a busy team environment working closely with those new to, or at risk of rough sleeping.

Provide a personalised case management service to clients, turning assessment recommendations into practical action plans which fully involves the client.

Build and maintain effective relationships to support clients throughout their recovery.

Develop a knowledge of relevant legislation such as, welfare benefit and housing legislation.

The service is close to Stockwell tube station, has good public transport links and onsite parking for colleagues. This role will specifically support a caseload of up to 7 unaccompanied young people who are seeking asylum in the United Kingdom and have been placed in their services as part of the Lambeth Young Peoples Pathway.
This role works to their person-centred support model building on customer care, health and safety, flexibility, adaptability and other skills to assist homeless individuals who are currently unable to live independently, by offering them the practical and emotional support they need to regain their Independence.
As well as the very specific needs related to their status as an asylum seeker these young people come to them with a range of other support needs, including but not limited to mental health and learning disabilities.
The support for each customer is person-centred, requires creative energy and is hugely rewarding forcolleagues as well as life changing for customers. A key part of the role is enabling customers to gain necessary support from other agencies so you will need to be able to network/build relationships with those in other organisations and support customers through their processes to access the support they need such as accessing benefits, housing and education.
You need knowledge of safeguarding and how this may apply in the day-to-day work we do as well as. understanding of the reasons why people become homeless and the needs and challenges they face and of statutory as well as the voluntary resources available to homeless people.

Move On Support Worker’s
As a domestic abuse move on worker you’ll support individuals and families within our safe accommodation to transition into settled accommodation. You’ll provide a tailored, person-centred support package to help customers achieve their goals and live a life free from abuse.
Peripatetic Support Worker
The role of Peripatetic Support Worker is to provide comprehensive cover for accommodation and community-based services, offering practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and various forms of violence and abuse.
ABOUT YOU
They’re looking for someone who has the values, knowledge and skills of working within a support role supporting clients who have experienced domestic abuse and can demonstrate how they use their skills and common sense to support vulnerable individuals and families. You’ll have a commitment to maintaining the dignity and rights of the individuals and families they work with, with top notch communication skills. It is desirable if you have had experience of working within a Domestic Abuse Service.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but they welcome candidates with relevant experience from other sectors or transferrable skills.
You will work 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. There may be expectation to work some evenings up to 8pm and occasional weekends and bank holidays.
You will be required to have flexibility to travel across Derbyshire therefore driving licence and access to a car (with business insurance) is essential

Domestic Abuse Worker (Refuge)

Morgan Hunt is working with a leading, national domestic abuse charity to recruit a Domestic Abuse Worker for their services in Salford. This is a full time, temporary role whilst permanent recruitment takes place and will involve working across two refuges supporting those fleeing domestic violence.
As a Domestic Abuse Worker, you will be responsible for;
- Managing an allocated caseload of women and children fleeing domestic abuse.
- Completing safety plans and risk assessments for those living within the refugee.
- Completing support plans personalised to the needs of those living within the refuge.
- Providing advice and guidance to those fleeing domestic abuse, whilst signposting to appropriate external organisations where necessary.
- Ensuring accurate, up to date case notes for each resident.
- Liaising with external agencies and professionals around the needs of each resident within the refuge.
- Ensuring the refuge is a clean, safe environment for those living within the refuge.
- Supporting residents with benefit applications and housing applications for long term accommodation.
The candidate - Domestic Abuse Worker
- Experience of supporting those fleeing domestic abuse.
- An understanding of the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness and or other vulnerabilities i.e. severe and enduring mental health, substance misuse, domestic abuse.
- The ability to manage challenging behaviours.
- An understanding of safeguarding and how to respond to safeguarding concerns appropriately.
As the role involves covering two refuges, the candidate will be required to driver. A current Enhanced DBS is also essential for this role.

Our client is looking for a Housing Management Assistant to contribute to providing a safe and welcoming environment for their clients who are going through their individual recovery. Specifically, you will be responsible for the reception area, managing access to the buildings, housekeeping duties, rent collection, repairs management, contributing to inventory management, accurately logging and reporting incidents, and responding to neighbourhood concerns appropriately.
Spring Gardens Staging Post based in Hither Green, Lewisham, supports 68 people who’ve either been homeless or who are moving on from homelessness with complex support needs.
Pound Lane Staging Post based in Willesden, Brent, supports 14 people who’ve either been homeless or who are moving on from homelessness with low support needs.
About you
As a Housing Management Assistant you will provide first contact, reception, and basic housing management services to vulnerable adults, in turn making a real difference to their lives and recovery. Direct experience is not needed, therefore making this role a great entry for the right candidate who has a genuine desire to develop a career in helping vulnerable people.
You will possess a can-do attitude with self-initiative, capable in responding to a variety of situations, individuals, and groups appropriately, whilst maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries. Most importantly, you will have a genuine desire to improve people's lives.
