We are medical experts applying our skills and knowledge to make a difference in the world. We bring together the global community of medical imaging professionals to make the case for diagnostic imaging.

Since 2017, Worldwide Radiology has been steadily growing from a small group of founding UK radiologists with experience of working in limited resource settings to an international team of around 50 long-term volunteers from a range of different imaging and clinical backgrounds.

We support the development of appropriate, high quality imaging services in low and middle income countries; from central teaching hospitals to remote district clinics. We work together with our partners to build the necessary skills and capacity to improve patient care and we aim to increase opportunities for imaging research focused on local or national healthcare priorities.

Overview

The Programme Manager role will be crucial to the success and development of the charity. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of 3+ Worldwide Radiology projects, operating across Malawi, Ghana and The Gambia.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for quickly grasping the needs of three ongoing projects, steering them toward desired impact, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and managing risks effectively to bring these projects into shape.

​

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with key stakeholders, including our volunteers, partners and donors to build and nurture strong working relationships. 

​

They will contribute to seeking out further grant opportunities within the sector, working closely with the rest of the programmes team and the fundraising team.

​

The key responsibilities of this post are as follows:

​

(a) oversee the smooth running of our projects; 

(b) provide strong, holistic solutions, focused on operational leadership; and 

(c) support the overall growth and development of the organisation.
 

Role-Specific Responsibilities

1. Provide overall day-to-day management for WWR projects and WWR volunteers, reporting directly to the WWR Director.

2. Oversee the development and operational execution of detailed work-plans and budgets for WWR programme

3. Track all milestones and reporting schedules, taking timely action to ensure they are met.

4. Develop and deliver project MEAL activities in collaboration with our external MEAL consultant.

5. Produce (gather, collate and edit)  high quality, timely project progress, annual and donor-specific reports.

6. Oversee the management of partnership agreements and contracts in accordance with the donor specific requirements.

7. Support the identification and securing of new grant opportunities in collaboration with the programmes and fundraising teams.

8. Communicate administrative and technical information to WWR project partners in a timely, sensitive and effective manner.

9. Assist team members, volunteers, partners and members of the public with queries, demonstrating tact and understanding when dealing with complex and serious issues, deliver a consistently high and appropriate level of service and support to individuals contacting WWR.

10. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, induction and management of both UK and international WWR volunteers.
     

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience.

• Experience in grant or contract management in a humanitarian or development environment.

• Demonstrable experience of adhering to principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management and administration of programmes and project lifecycles.

• Demonstrable experience of applying monitoring systems and managing budgets.

• Experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.

Desirable

• Experience working in the nonprofit sector.

Job Background

We are looking for a Head of Fundraising who can work with the service delivery team to link earned income into the Fundraising Strategy, secure both unrestricted and restricted income and through grants, trusts and foundations as well as with corporate partners and individual donors. You will work collaboratively with teams across the charity and won’t be phased by the inevitable challenges that this will bring, or the constantly changing environment that the charity will be operating in the next few years.

In this pivotal role UKHarvest is seeking a strategic Head of Fundraising to lead the charity’s efforts in generating vital financial support and building meaningful relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders. You will have a proven track record designing and implementing fundraising strategies that achieve revenue targets and have the charity’s ethos at the heart of everything you do.

Main Objectives

With responsibility for the Fundraising at UKHarvest, the post holder will:

• Research and manage a pipeline of trusts and foundation applications that offer restricted and unrestricted funding.
• Write applications, using information and expertise from colleagues as necessary.
• Identify new fundraising opportunities from a range of sources, including national and local government; individual supporters and commercial opportunities.
• Organise, plan and implement a fundraising strategy, yet be flexible enough to adapt to changing priorities and deliver against tight deadlines when required.
• Lead and manage the process of reporting to existing funders and Trustees.
• Nurturing relationships with existing supporters and partners.
• Align fundraising campaigns using your excellent communication skills to deliver broader organisational messaging and branding.
• Demonstrate excellent writing skills and attention to detail, capturing beneficiaries’ experiences and the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
• Embed a culture of fundraising and effective storytelling throughout the organisation.

Required experience

The successful applicant will have at least 5 years fundraising experience as a Head of Fundraising, managing and leading a fundraising team. A strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, set priorities and drive results, you will have experience in developing and sustaining funding streams using a variety of techniques to secure restricted and unrestricted funding, major gifts, grants, events, and corporate partnerships; combined with exceptional communication skills to engage and inspire donors, volunteers and stakeholders. You will be able to motivate and develop a high performing team, set targets, and promote a collaborative culture. You will care about social justice, environmental sustainability and food waste as these pillars underpin all UKHarvest activities. The role will be predominantly based in the UKHarvest Chichester Hub with regular visits to the Nourish Hub in London.

The Director of Operations will work as part of the management team to develop and implement the organisation’s strategy and operational plans and to build the longer term sustainability of the organisation. They will be required to deputise for the Chief Officer in their absence and assist in the overall management of the organisation. As part of the management team the role demands a high level of flexibility, initiative and commitment. The role also involves working with the Chief Officer to design and improve our monitoring, evaluation and learning across the organisation in line with our new strategy.

The Director of Operations will have lead responsibility for overseeing the day to day operations and coordinating external partnerships and relationships. Operational oversight includes the two core pillars of work:-

1. Streams of Sanctuary programmes and awards (by streams we mean mainstream sector e.g. schools)
2. Coordination and development of network of refugee supporting groups

We are in search of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) adept at turning strategic visions into operational realities. The COO will oversee daily operations throughout the sanctuary, ensuring excellence in health and safety practices, and fostering high team performance and growth. As a key partner to the CEO, this role demands a leader skilled in operational management and strategy implementation, preferably with experience in the third sector and a deep commitment to animal welfare.

Objectives of the role

1. Strategic implementation and operational leadership - working in close partnership with the CEO to integrate strategic objectives into the organisation's day-to-day operations. This will include focusing on enhancing process efficiency, ensuring operational excellence and maintaining budgetary control connected to operational issues.

2. Developing high performing teams – driving team excellence through targeted recruitment, comprehensive onboarding, ongoing professional development, and robust performance management strategies, ensuring team cohesion and high retention rates

3. Ensuring regulatory compliance and safety - maintaining rigorous adherence to all relevant charity and health & safety regulations, proactively ensuring a safe environment for staff, volunteers, visitors and our equines.

4. Fostering a supportive culture - creating a work environment where commitment to our sanctuary's values and alignment with our vision and mission inspire and unite our teams.

5. Acting as a deputy for the CEO - representing the charity and making decisions in the CEO’s absence, ensuring leadership continuity and organisational stability.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

· Evaluating internal operations to identify and implement efficiency improvements

· Developing and implementing policies (in collaboration with the CEO and Trustees) that support the sanctuary's goals and ensure operational alignment.

· Overseeing daily operations across the estate, including visitor facilities, barn and paddock maintenance, and health and safety compliance, ensuring a safe environment for staff, volunteers, visitors and equines.

· Directly overseeing the performance of our teams in Visitor Experience, Volunteering, Estates and Facilities, ensuring these areas not only operate efficiently but also focus on creating exceptional experiences for visitors and volunteers. This includes working closely with HR to foster successful recruitment, professional development, and other HR initiatives to build and sustain high-performing teams.

· Ensuring the sanctuary is ready and welcoming for visitors each day, effectively monitored and managed throughout the day and securely closed at night

· Health and safety leadership - spearheading safety initiatives and training a skilled team in safety protocols, ensuring a secure and safe environment for staff, volunteers, visitors and over 130 donkeys and ponies. The COO will work closely with the Head of Facilities and Estates Supervisor to enforce health and safety policies, address safety issues, as well as ensuring readiness and responsiveness for critical incidents, including fire and medical emergencies.

· Serving as the deputy for the CEO, including leading the sanctuary in the CEO’s absence, making critical decisions, and managing external relationships.

The above role encompasses an understanding that the sanctuary operates seven days a week and requires a willingness to work weekends and evenings as needed to ensure continuous leadership and operational excellence.

Reporting structure

Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will have the following direct reports: Head of Estates, Visitor Experience Manager, and Volunteer Manager.

The Youth Environmental Service is looking for someone special to join our young and growing team. Someone who can come in as right hand to the Programme Director, with the energy and experience to thrive in a boldly ambitious social enterprise start-up.

As Head of Delivery, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of YES. You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering proofs of concept that demonstrate the programme’s viability and potential, paving the way for it to scale nationwide by 2030.

Initially on a six-month contract, but with the option to extend, your first focus will be on laying the groundwork for our next proof of concept, designing the programme, identifying partners and securing funding that will allow us to create up to 50 roles in a specific region (TBC once in role) in 2025.

Longer term, we're looking for someone who can:

• Deliver Proof of concepts: Design, develop and deliver future projects that support the creation of new paid placements in different regional hubs across the country. Building on lessons from our first pilot we need to continue to refine what YES does, how it works, all with the goal of building a body of compelling evidence that will shape how we scale our vision.
• Own the 'Product': We need a clear, accessible, and compelling proposition for how we do what we do and why it works. You’ll be responsible for keeping hold of that core product, and making sure it doesn’t get diluted as the programme begins to scale.
• Secure funding: Engage with funders, big and small, to bring in the financial support required to deliver our proofs of concept. We’ll need to experiment with a more sustainable long-term funding model, so you’ll need to be able to explore new approaches to funding placements, working with a range of different funders and through different funding approaches.
• Build a coalition: We don’t want to do this alone. You’ll need to engage nature, net zero and circular economy organisations as well as delivery partners, creating a collaborative network of organisations who can work together to deliver our programmes and create the foundations on which we can scale in the future.

Our Finance Department works as a team of experts to safeguard resources and support decision making across Shelter. We strive to ensure Shelter is financially sustainable in order to achieve our vision of a home for everyone. This particular role sits within the Financial Planning and Analysis team. We support the charity through financial reporting, analysis, and expert advice, and enable collaboration to support managers in making effective business decisions.

About the role

Joining a finance team that collaborates and communicates effectively to help us deliver our mission and vision, making vital business decisions that are driven by expert knowledge and financial acumen will be key to your success here. As part of the role, you’ll engage regularly with our Assistant Directors and their leadership teams to ensure that financial results and key messages are shared and you’ll support stakeholders in engaging with fully available financial insight and reporting.  When it comes to our stakeholders, you’ll support and lead finance education and training to equip them with the skills required to execute their own financial responsibilities.

Among your many challenges will be the need to align financial plans to operational and strategic plans and make sure they’re clearly understood by Business Units. Seeing that each Unit is provided with a channel of effective, two-way communication with Finance will be important too. You’ll also work with colleagues in Project Governance and HR Business Partnering to support Directorate planning and business cases, as well as supporting and leading on the delivery of cross-team projects.

Additionally, it would be an advantage if you have experience working in a Charity and have associated experience of managing restricted funds and fundraising.

Trinity is a thriving local theatre and arts venue in the heart of Tunbridge Wells which makes a real difference in the local community. We are seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead and strategically develop the organisation and to take it to the next stage of its future.

Successful candidates will be responsible for all aspects of operational management and will be financially literate and accountable for the overall financial position of Trinity. The role has ultimate, but not direct, responsibility for our live performance and cinema programme and creative engagement activities, executive responsibility for which will be delegated within and outside the organisation.

This is a part time, 3 day a week (onsite) and while experience in the theatre or creative arts industries would be welcome, we invite applications from candidates with a varied range of backgrounds, with the proviso that all must have enthusiasm and a passion for theatre and drama. Hope for the Future is a climate change charity that trains communities, groups and individuals to work with politicians on climate change. Our vision is to see politicians of all political persuasions joining together with each other and with communities across the UK to drive inclusive action on the climate and nature crises.

The Role

You will have specific responsibility for:

• Growing HFTF’s impact, leading and overseeing the delivery of HFTF’s delivery projects and programmes and working with staff to ensure delivery targets are met

• Effective line management of the Policy & Engagement Officers, leading, supporting, managing and motivating staff,

• Supporting the Policy and Engagement team with work as required 

• Developing and overseeing the monitoring and evaluation and impact measurement for fundraising bids and reports to funders.

• Acting as the lead contact for Hope for the Future’s network of partner organisations growing  HFTF’s paid partnership work

• Ensuring that we are engaging new constituents and that we are working towards reaching and representing all sectors of society.

Other responsibilities

• Regularly travel around the country to workshops and meetings and to the head office in Sheffield.

• Networking to seek new partners and clients for the purpose of acquiring new training requests and potential collaborative work (paid partnerships)

• Representing the organisation at events,conferences, and partnership meetings and in external communications

• Continually championing the values, mission and vision of Hope for the Future to strengthen democratic engagement and drive inclusive action on the climate and nature crises.

• Maintain an awareness of advances in the climate and nature movement and national/ local politics.

• Maintain a strong working knowledge of climate change developments in Parliament, including changes to policy and specific MP involvement in such developments.

The ideal candidate will have

• Excellent organisational , prioritisation  and communication skills 

• A high level of autonomy and self-motivation, with an ability to think independently and solve problems proactively

• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills across a range of professional and community settings

• Strong IT skills, understanding of digital communications, analysis of data and creating reports.

• Strong multidisciplinary project, programme and resource management skills with the ability to ensure delivery targets are achieved.

• Minimum 2 - 3 years in a management, leadership or operational delivery role within a not-for-profit, NGO, social enterprise, charity or similar organisation.

• Experience and success in leading, supporting, motivating and managing and coordinating a team  to work towards delivering an organisation's strategic goals

• Experience in building and maintaining effective partnerships and networks with external organisations.

• A strong working knowledge of the UK political system and with national and local political structures and processes

• Experience of working with elected representatives 

• Experience of delivering, monitoring and evaluating effective community engagement campaigns / outreach work

• Experience of designing and facilitating workshops, trainings, both online and in-person 

• An understanding of monitoring and evaluation and impact measurement 

• Ability to seamlessly operate at a strategic and tactical level, leading by example and rolling up sleeves when necessary

As the CEO of AFD, you will play a pivotal role in steering this well-regarded charity to further enhance services for Deaf and hard of hearing individuals across the region.

With a dedicated team of professionals, AFD is committed to serving the needs of the Deaf and hard of hearing community in Sussex. The charity serves as a cornerstone of support and advocacy, offering essential services tailored to meet the diverse needs of its clients. These services encompass audiology provision (provided via delivery of NHS contacts, which represents the majority of funding), as well as community support, advocacy and engagement initiatives.

As the next CEO, you would be responsible for shaping the future of this organisation, further strengthening relationships with commissioners, growing and diversifying services and income streams, and ensuring the charity meets the diverse needs of the community.

Salary: £50,000 to £60,000

Location: Haywards Heath, with significant time to also be spent in Worthing, Sussex

As AFD is a user-led organisation, an understanding of the issues affecting Deaf and hard of hearing people, or ideally, lived experience, is highly desirable.
