Missing People exists to ease the heartache experienced by those missing someone, and to help people who are away from home find their way back to safety. Our vision is for every missing child, adult and family left behind to find help, hope and a safe way to reconnect. ABOUT THE ROLE

Missing People’s Policy and Research Team is a small team with a big impact, both within the charity and externally. We aim to create local, regional and national change in the response to missing people. We work in an evidence-based way, centring the experiences of those who have been or are affected by missing. As the Senior Public Affairs Coordinator you will be innovative in finding ways to engage and motivate a wide range of policymakers and politicians to better understand the issues affecting missing people and to make positive change for everyone we support. You will become an expert in the issue of missing, including the risks that cause people to go and the harm they experience while away. You represent issues facing some of the most marginalised and vulnerable communities

• You will have previous experience of working in public affairs or a related role;

• building and maintaining relationships with politicians or other policy-makers, including quickly building rapport and establishing trust;

• engaging people in complex issues and motivating them to take action;

This newly created role will be part of our Corporate Performance team and will lead on the next phase of a groundbreaking project.This role sits under the Forest IQ team, along with two researchers and the Forest IQ Lead. This role will support the operational smooth running of the team, with a particular focus contracting and onboarding Forest IQ’s users. 

Forest IQ provides major data-service providers and financial institutions with market-leading data about corporate performance on deforestation, conversion of natural ecosystems and associated human rights abuses. This will enable financial institutions to identify risks and opportunities to help them to deliver deforestation free portfolios by 2025.

Role and Responsibilities

New Position: Due to the increase in REB memberships and activities, a new full-time events role is being created to support the executive team.

Key Tasks – support the MD in creating and delivering a member engagement and events programme

1. Conception and collaboration of member events, through to completion

2. Promoting events to members, working alongside REB’s external PR/Communications agency

3. Managing event registrations and guest lists

4. Responsible for line managing the events administrator

5. Responsible for REB events planning, logistics, analysis (report & presentation) and follow-up actions

6. Attending meetings with members re event planning and development

7. Reporting quarterly to the board and attending board meetings with the Executive team

Detailed Responsibilities

1. Develop, manage and deliver REB’s event programme (working with MD and ED&I coordinator):

o upload event listings to website;

o prepare invitations;

o liaise with host venues;

o oversee registrations & comms;

o obtain event feedback

2. Monitor and evaluate events including reviewing feedback and attendance

3. Coordinate the CEO Breakfasts series

4. Maintain the Events page on the REB website

5. Maintain a database of venues

6. Identify, approach and secure appropriate speakers and participants for events

To provide support to the Supported internship programmes delivered in partnership across Bromley and Bexley. The role will be within the Supported Internship team to deliver in partnership the various service level agreements. Support will be provided to Interns who have successfully gained employment placements as part of their internship or their post provision placement.

Support will focus on achievement through one-to-one work and building strong relationships with interns, departments and specific teams. You will work closely with the Job coach agency co-ordinator to support employment placements across our employment programmes.

About you

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with an understanding of dementia, and the needs of those affected with these conditions. We are looking for someone who is approachable and knowledgeable to join our knowledgeable and passionate team. Our Dementia Adviser’s support people in their homes we interact face to face, over the telephone and virtually, to give people the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions about their future. As a community-based worker, you will be required to attend a range of meetings, appointments and venues as well as working from home.  

You will;

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join a leading NFP client based in London, with a hybrid working policy of 1 day a week in their Canary Wharf offices. As the Cyber Security Engineer, you will have strong technical expertise across Cyber Security including working with technologies and standards such as ISO 27001, SOC2 and NIST. This role will require a heavy hands on technical expertise with Mircrosoft technologies including Defender and Sentinel. It will be beneficial for you to have undertaken certifications such as CISSP & CISM. On top of this, it is important to have worked in organisations gaining expertise across on prem networking and cloud technologies.

Skills required for the Cyber Security Engineer:
- Industry recognised certifications such as CISM, CISSP, Azure AZ-500 and AWS-SCS-C02
- Knowledge of Network Security, Firewalls, Load Balancers & Endpoint Security
- Knowledge of cloud security within Azure & AWS environments
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, methods, technologies, and standards like NIST, SOC2, ISO 27001
- Microsoft technology stack including Defender and Sentinel

As an Area Manager you will give leadership, direction and guidance to the staff of Medaille Trust to ensure the provision and development of a high quality service in line with the Trust’s Mission, Values and Strategy.

You will have a good understanding of the CQC framework relating to Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking.  You will carry out quarterly assurance audits in all safe houses ensuring any appropriate action is taken where necessary.

You will line manage, induct, mentor, coach and support Service Managers.  Additionally, you will ensure that any complaints, grievances and disciplinaries are investigated and responded to in an effective and timely manner in line with Medaille Policies.

Although the post is home based, the post holder will be expected to travel frequently to our safe houses within the South and London areas with some overnight stays.

You must have previous experience in a relevant sector or experience of working with adults that are vulnerable.  Experience of managing staff, carrying out line management, supervision and appraisals is essential.  Additionally, you must have experience of setting up Service User Engagement groups.

You'll work as part of an established and growing fundraising team to secure and steward four, five and six-figure grants from trusts, foundations and institutions in the UK and overseas.
