About the role
In the role of HARP Worker you will play an integral part in the team by providing housing advice and support to clients, supporting them to find suitable accommodation to prevent them from rough sleeping. Working alongside volunteers you will provide ongoing support so that clients can manage and sustain their tenancies; encourage clients to become active members in the community by supporting them with issues including mental or physical health, substance misuse or family breakdown. This is a fast paced role working with clients who have a history of criminal justice.
In this role you will:
- Advocate for clients who have multiple support needs.
- Support clients to find suitable housing and sustain tenancies.
- Assist clients in improving their life skills.
- Work across multiple boroughs, probation service and a prison.
About you
As the successful candidate, you will have had exposure to Criminal Justice or ex-offenders with a flexible approach of resolving housing needs. You will also be self-motivated and adaptable as no two days will be the same.

Senior Youth Participation Officer
Fitzrovia Youth in Action is looking for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic person for our Senior Youth Participation Officer role. If you feel like this is you, we would love to hear from you!
The post holder will coordinate and develop our new young people drop-in programme and additional youth action programmes, aimed at engaging local young people into the work of FYA. The successful candidate will oversee the development and delivery of the drop-in sessions, as well as deliver some youth led social action programmes. The role will include recruiting young people, engaging them in co-producing fun and creative activities and workshops which will take place at the drop-ins, as well as supporting them in planning and delivering the social action programmes.
Typically, sessions will occur Sundays (TBC) and young people from the ages 8 to 18 will attend. We are also planning to start a second drop-in session from September, which is likely to run on a Friday evening.
The post holder will support young people to plan some social action programmes directly, as well as support young people into other youth-led community action programmes at FYA.
Examples of projects include youth-led football tournaments, street parties and festivals and peer education activities.

About this key role
As our Beyond the Gate Caseworker, you will provide a community-based service that engages, motivates and facilitates those on license to make progress, through a range of one-to-one sessions, group activities, training and supportive measures. You will work with your caseload of clients to produce individual action plans that support them to overcome social inclusion barriers, including housing, substance misuse, relationships, training, employment, finance debt and benefit, and deliver a range of planned custody and community assessments and interventions that keep clients engaged, motivated, and making progress.
We will also count on you to ensure all immediate appointments on release are attended such as probation, mental health, housing and substance misuse, and the delivery of small group activities based on need, including tenancy management, emotional wellbeing, shopping on a budget. Liaising constructively with HM Prison Service and Probation personnel to share updates and completing referrals into services as soon as possible after release and map out a support plan for this are also both key aspects of the role, as are working flexibly, covering absences for colleagues, and supporting the delivery lead.

- Qualification in Advice and Guidance or equivalent, to at least Level 3

Grandmentors
Grandmentors is an innovative volunteering project where older volunteers (aged 50+) use their lifetime of skills and experience to support and mentor vulnerable young people leaving the care system. These young people often need a guiding hand and role model to support them to find work, continue their education or begin training – ultimately giving them the skills and self-belief to lead successful and independent lives.
Volunteers meet with a young person regularly to boost their confidence and work towards goals, which are unique to each young person.
Role Purpose
To develop and deliver all aspects of our Grandmentors project in Suffolk, ensuring it achieves its aims, objectives, outcomes, and targets. The post holder will work closely with the Virtual College and Leaving Care teams within Suffolk County Council and local volunteers to ensure that we improve and empower the lives of care leavers (aged 16-25) through the unique power of inter-generational mentoring.
Key Duties
- To effectively deliver the service to ensure the project meets its agreed targets and millstones.
- Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and local authority staff at a day-to day level.
- To ensure volunteers are recruited, appropriately trained and supported in their role; this will involve processing volunteer expenses, DBS checks and maintaining databases.
- To ensure regular communication between project staff and volunteers is maintained and that regular supervision for volunteers is provided.
- To work with your line manager to ensure project expenditure is in line with the budget.
- To maintain accurate administration, for all aspects of the project.
- To maintain accurate records on all aspects of the project and submit data onto a secure database.
- To manage and maintain effective monitoring and evaluation records to capture impact and outcomes and ensure contractual compliance.

Equip
Some young people, for whatever reason, may not have the skills to ensure they can navigate a route into higher education or into training and the employment market. We believe all young people are capable of being in higher education, employment or training if they wish to be, but we also know that some need a helping hand to achieve this. This is where Equip Mentoring comes in.
Equip Mentoring is delivered by Volunteering Matters across Suffolk. The project works closely with local educational establishments to equip young people with the tools they need to re-engage with education and make informed decisions about their future career prospects and pathways.

Public Voice is a partner in the Haringey Advice Partnership (HAP) which is delivering the Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) service in Haringey from April 2022 to March 2025 with an option to extend for a further four years. Working as part of a multi-agency team, we will count on you to lead by example, be the day-to-day expert within team, and be a positive role model to the team of caseworkers. The Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (Rape Crisis South London) is looking for a therapist with experience of working therapeutically with acute high risk presentations to join our Children and Young People’s Counselling Service as a Well-being and Safeguarding Counsellor. Working alongside play therapists, family prevention practitioners and school well-being counsellors, you will provide specialist therapy to girls and young women aged 5+ in hubs across the South London Boroughs. We will provide the successful candidates with:
● Clinical supervision
● A salary of £36,000 - £38,000, dependent on experience, pro rata

As a Careers Adviser you will be giving careers advice to young disabled people in schools across Leeds, at our office and online. We are offering a hybrid model of delivery so working from home for part of your week is available.
About you
- You will have experience of supporting young disabled people to build their confidence and work towards their goals. This could be in either an education or social care setting.
- You will have the confidence to deliver 1:1 and group sessions. These will take place in person and online.
- You will be able to produce clear and relevant action plans. These action plans will aid customers to explore and achieve their career goals

Princess Court is a 24-hour Mental Health Supported Housing Service that provides a person-centred holistic approach to promote the recovery of the people who live here and help them regain their independence. The individuals entering the service have high-level support and care needs that can include serious mental illness and/or a history of substance misuse.
Our role is to support them, identify and meet their diverse needs and help them on their personalised recovery journey.
This challenging front line role comes with responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service, contracts, staff and building maintenance. As well as ensuring the very best delivery and offering direct employment support to Service Users, you’ll be responsible for promoting the service and managing all referrals. Line managing and provide supervision to front-line staff, providing individual and group support sessions to Service Users, ensuring data entry to MI & reporting systems is accurate and timely, and taking responsibility for the service budget – these are just some aspects of this varied and vital leadership role.
To succeed, you’ll need a proven relevant background that includes experience of managing a caseload of individuals with complex needs and, ideally, an understanding of the CQC Framework. A relevant professional qualification (e.g., CQSW, CIOH, RMN) would be useful too, as would experience of carrying out investigations and writing reports and recommendations and managing a budget. More important however, is your ability to lead, supervise and motivate staff and delegate work appropriately and managing conflicting demands and priorities in a timely manner. A willingness to participate in on call arrangements and a flexible attitude to working hours are essential attributes too, as is tact and diplomacy and a firm but inclusive management style and open and encouraging demeanour.

The Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (Rape Crisis South London) is looking for experienced therapists to join our Children and Young People Counselling Service as School Well-being Counsellors. Purpose of Post To support users of services through an education, training, and employability programme integrated with SCT’s wider services and enterprise offer, as well as partner opportunities in the wider community. To oversee and coordinate access to SCT’s Training and Development tutor-led activities including art, creative writing, digital skills, gardening, literacy, woodwork, and peer-led ‘Choices’ groups, and to monitor people’s progress over time.

Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) is an East London charity embedded in the local community, providing practical support and training to people affected by homelessness and addictions so they can rebuild their lives. We have a Recovery Hub in Shoreditch, where we run an abstinence-based residential recovery service (‘Acorn House’), and a Training and Development service, including tutor-led art, creative writing, digital skills, gardening, literacy, and woodwork.
