Prospectus is delighted to be partnering with the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) on their search for a Communications Officer to be responsible for promoting the CTO’s work, brand and reputation and managing the CTO’s corporate communications.
The Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation is the oldest and largest Commonwealth membership organisation in the field of information and communication technologies. Today, the CTO plays an integral role in providing 21st-century thinking, knowledge, understanding and leadership to its members, helping them to shape their digital futures. They are fully involved in the development and use of digital ICT for social and economic development and are at the forefront of the ICT revolution to deliver significant benefits to its members.
Reporting to the Global Relations Manager, the Communications Officer will be responsible for the consistent delivery of all CTO communication targets. The post holder will develop and implement CTO communication and stakeholder relationship policies and protocols, that recognise best practice approaches and the culture of the CTO. The Communications Officer will ensure the CTO website is always updated and monitored and is the CTO’s primary communications channel. You will collaborate with the IT Administrator to ensure the CTO’s internal and external communication is technologically driven and designed to encourage real-time information-sharing and feedback.
We are looking for an all-rounded communications professional with significant experience in a similar capacity in an organisation with a comparable scope and complexity. The post holder needs to have excellent verbal and written English language skills, digital marketing experience, and a proven track record of successfully delivering compelling communications across multiple platforms. Specialised knowledge of Digitalisation, ICT, and social media optimisation would be an asset.
