We have an exciting opportunity for a Part time Bid Officer to join our team, to work within our support services, to provide administrative and bid support to the Service Design and Development (SDD) team. The successful candidate will support the team to submit high quality bids to retain and expand our services.
The Bid Officer will act in a supportive capacity, independently coordinating administrative functions as well as tracking new opportunities and supporting with competitor/market analysis and assisting with managing and tracking of contracts.
As part of POhWER’s Bid team you will support the Bid Manager and Grants and Partnership Manager throughout the tender/application process; monitoring tender trackers and identifying and scoping potential tender opportunities. This role includes completing SSQs (standard selection questionnaires) for tenders and attending market engagement events (virtually or occasionally in person).
We are looking for someone who has excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills with the ability to work accurately, with attention to detail. The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of working in a Business Development team including good knowledge of the tender process.
We are looking for someone with good IT skills with knowledge of standard Microsoft packages a good standard of English and maths and confident written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to a high level of confidentiality.
The successful candidate will have a confident and positive attitude as well as a strong team player with a flexible approach to meet needs of the team/business. You will have the ability to work confidently and independently with staff at all levels in the organisation and have knowledge and understanding of production of reports in a variety of formats.

About the role
We are looking to recruit a permanent multi-skilled advocate to join our busy Berks multi- disciplinary team, working up to 37 hours per week, minimum of 28 hours, starting salary £23,611 per annum, (pro rata).
In this exciting role you will be acting as an independent advocate supporting clients to ensure they get their voices heard. This may include providing advocacy across a number of different strands, such as the Mental Capacity Act, Care Act and Mental Health Act.
What we need from you
We are looking for someone who has the creativity and enthusiasm to support people in difficult circumstances, ideally has experience in a health or social care and may have their own life experiences relevant to the role. If you haven’t got advocacy qualifications it’s not a problem, we will provide the required training.
As this role is home based with regular travel, mainly but not exclusively in the Berkshire area, you must have access to both a stable home broadband service and easy access to transport as well as flexibility with working hours.
There may be times when work is required outside normal working hours so flexibility is required.
We also need you to live within Berkshire or surrounding counties.

We are looking for an Independent Advocate to join our team working on our Advocacy contract on a part time basis in Broadmoor. Our ideal candidate will have worked in advocacy, information and advice or similar role before, ideally in a health, social care or voluntary setting and will have experience of working with vulnerable adults.
The candidate will have strong experience working with adults at risk who are affected by significant health and social care issues who find it difficult to speak up for themselves; and experience providing persuasive verbal and written representations.
In this role the ideal candidate will be supporting a wide range of adults with profound and multiple needs. The successful candidate will need a good working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations to enable them to work in partnership with clients and professionals, gaining an understanding of their issues by listening, exploring options and taking action as directed by them.
You will need to have a flexible attitude and must be comfortable handling highly sensitive information whilst able to work well independently and confidently on behalf of others. Strong communication skills and time management skills will be required and you will need to be computer literate. A full induction and training schedule along with IAP (Independent Advocacy Qualification) will be provided as well as ongoing peer mentoring and support.
