About the role
You will work closely with our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and senior management team to ensure good outcomes for our service users during an ambitious expansion programme.

Nacro have launched the Community Support Service – Tier 2 (CAS-2) which is a national service commissioned by Ministry of Justice to provide accommodation as an alternative to custody.
This role is based within our team in the East of England. As a Support Worker, you will provide exceptional housing support services and housing management services to a diverse range of service user including those on Bail, prison leavers, and those going through the criminal justice system. The Team provides flexible and holistic support to residents with a wide range of support needs. We aim to support them to find and keep a stable home at the end of their CAS-2 placement. You will manage a caseload of clients in properties in your allocated patch in the East of England.
This role provides an excellent springboard into other criminal justice professions and housing roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective support and safety plans with the service user referring to specialist agencies as required.
- Ensure that properties are always adequately equipped, maintained, furnished, and cleaned.
- Support residents to understand responsibilities that will help them keep their CAS-2 and future accommodation.
- Empower and motivate service users to identify and achieve desired outcomes.
- Develop a move-on plan with service users at the earliest opportunity, identifying realistic options for their future home.

About the role:

Our hostels offer a range of services to clients at different stages in the process of change and works closely with an adjacent health and advice centre operated by partner agencies. Operationally, the service focuses on promoting recovery, providing assessment, support and resettlement services within a framework of active engagement and person-centred planning. About the role:
As an IDVA you will be:
- Providing a pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic violence and abuse through on-going risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Working with victims of domestic abuse to assist them in accessing services to keep them and their family safe.
- Developing individual safety plans to meet client's needs as identified in the needs and risk assessment.
- Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims including exploration of legal and civil options, housing, health and finance and support clients through the criminal justice system.

A Recovery Practitioner is required to join the opiate team of a Drug and Alcohol Service based in Ilford on a rolling contract. The Recovery Practitioner will be required on site from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a specific caseload of individuals facing various complex challenges, such as mental health issues, homelessness, criminal involvement, chronic illnesses, domestic abuse, sexual exploitation, and self-harm.

About the role:
As a Caseworker within this service, you will;
- Support people who are likely to be impacted by the effects of bereavement as well as being victims of crime
- Make calls to people referred to the service primarily by the police and our dedicated support line
- Assess their needs and any risks and agree a support plan
- Make regular contact with the individuals either by phone, video call or face to face as agreed with them
- Record actions and information on our case management system
- Be able to talk to them about the Victims' Code of Practice and the Criminal Justice System
- Liaise with the police and other statutory and voluntary sector agencies where required
There may also be a requirement to;
- Attend multi-agency or other meetings with, or on behalf of, service users
- Provide support through court and other criminal justice processes
- Signpost or refer to other agencies including mental health and bereavement services
Dependent on the needs of the service users and the changing face of investigations, there will be a requirement to travel to support service users and attend meetings and other events across Humberside.
The successful Caseworker will be someone with empathy, compassion and a professional outlook who can work in difficult and emotive situations.

- Implement effective ways of working with victims & those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm
- Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC & local partnership responses to domestic abuse
- Run group training sessions & share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital
Please note that the successful applicant will be required to sign an honorary contract with the Hospital Trust in addition to their contract of employment.
You will need:
- an understanding of help-seeking barriers & support needs of victims of domestic abuse
- knowledge of domestic abuse & its impact
- an understanding of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management
- Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
- Experience of direct service delivery to vulnerable people
- Good communication, negotiation & advocacy skills, both written & verbal & able to interact with a range of agencies & individuals
- Have strong crisis management skills & be able to deal with stressful and difficult situations

The Student Advisor is a key role within the UWLSU’s Advice and Wellbeing team. The Student Advisor will deliver case-based advice and advocacy interventions to hundreds of students each year to an excellent standard. The post holder will work to ensure that our students are supported through academic regulatory processes such as mitigating circumstances, academic appeals, complaints and disciplinary processes at UWL. They will provide independent, non-judgmental and accessible advice to students that will empower them to make informed choices about their case. An understanding of external support networks is also advantageous, as our Advisors are expected to identify and provide signposting guidance to students that will help them access suitable support outside of the SU and University. This exciting new specialist role of Housing IDVA is designed to support victims of Domestic Abuse to remain safe in their own accommodation or secure suitable new housing.
The main tasks for this role include:
- Managing a caseload of high risk victims, providing specialist support around housing.
- Acting as a link person between the local authority housing teams, our Domestic Abuse services in Devon, supported accommodation and refuges.

Nacro have launched the Community Support Service - Tier 2 (CAS-2) which is a national service commissioned by Ministry of Justice to provide accommodation as an alternative to custody.
This role is based within our team in the East of England. As a Support Worker, you will provide exceptional housing support services and housing management services to a diverse range of service user including those on Bail, prison leavers, and those going through the criminal justice system. The Team provides flexible and holistic support to residents with a wide range of support needs. We aim to support them to find and keep a stable home at the end of their CAS-2 placement. You will manage a caseload of clients in properties in your allocated patch in the East of England.
This role provides an excellent springboard into other criminal justice professions and housing roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective support and safety plans with the service user referring to specialist agencies as required.
- Ensure that properties are always adequately equipped, maintained, furnished, and cleaned.
- Support residents to understand responsibilities that will help them keep their CAS-2 and future accommodation.
- Empower and motivate service users to identify and achieve desired outcomes.
- Develop a move-on plan with service users at the earliest opportunity, identifying realistic options for their future home.
