The postholder will be expected to deliver face to face to face LifeSkills sessions within the North West, primarily but not exclusively in Greater Manchester. They will also be expected to travel occasionally to other areas of the country for meetings (eg team meetings).

About LifeSkills
The LifeSkills programme will offer groups of families the chance to come together to a trusted venue such as a children’s centre or community setting. As well as offering opportunities for families to spend quality time together and have access to healthy food, these sessions will offer LifeSkills workshops for parents and carers to build their confidence, social networks, financial and employability skills. Examples include but are not limited to overcoming setbacks, managing debt, boosting confidence to return to work, CV writing, interview skills. The aims of the LifeSkills programme are to support participants to increase their confidence and 21st century skills, move closer to training/volunteering/employment, improve their social networks, and grow their confidence to provide low cost and nutritious meals.
The role involves delivering LifeSkills sessions to groups of families in the Greater Manchester area. The postholder will also be the main point of contact for delivery partners hosting programmes (e.g. small charities, schools) and staff and volunteers delivering sessions, and be expected to respond promptly to a wide range of queries and requests for support. Examples might include, for instance, devising LifeSkills programmes for different cohorts, presenting to potential partners, devising risk assessments, recording data, and visiting and providing guidance and support for staff and volunteers delivering sessions in venues across the country.

The Education Support Worker will provide intensive support to Ukrainian refugee families within the local area who are experiencing challenges understanding, navigating and accessing the education system.
Students who have their learning and wellbeing needs met will develop the capacity to engage more effectively with school, which will reduce the risk of falling behind, increase social participation and wellbeing, and contribute to building opportunities for their future.
This is a new role within our team, so the successful candidate will have the specialist knowledge and expertise required to build a sustainable framework of support for Ukrainian refugee children and their families. The Education Support Worker will work alongside the Surrey County Council education support services and schools and will be guided by professional advice.
The key activities of the role will include:
· Supporting families to develop a Support Plan that sets academic and wellbeing goals, based on the young person’s individual circumstances and needs
· Supporting families to understand the local school system, relevant curriculum, and the types of support available within the local area
· Supporting families to prepare and submit school based administration and engage with the school, through provision of advocacy at school meetings and liaising with school staff as required
· Develop a resource kit to share with families, which outlines services, supports and tools available to families
· Signpost to additional support for students, in particular linking with EERN network of education support volunteers and other local services

York Carers Centre is an independent charity that helps unpaid carers in York access the support they need. We currently have an exciting opportunity for individuals who have a genuine interest in using their experience and skills to support young people.
A key part of the role will involve maintaining a high quality, effective service through the delivery of one-to-one support for the most vulnerable high need young people and liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies, including developing relationships with schools, to ensure young carers and families access relevant information and support for their needs.

· Experience of effectively planning and delivering fun and creative activities for vulnerable young people that overcome social isolation and help to improve individuals physical and emotional wellbeing (could be a separate job role)
· A confident practitioner, preferably with a relevant qualification. However, emphasis will be placed on your experience of delivering effective support to vulnerable young people that promotes positive mental health and emotional well-being
· To be proactive to motivate and deal confidently and effectively with challenging situations
· To evidence experience of developing effective partnerships and working in collaboration with a variety of agencies and stakeholders
· To work within the boundaries of confidentiality and work effectively and engage sensitively with a wide range of clients
· Experience of responding to referrals and escalating safeguarding concerns in line with policies and procedures
· Experience of, and/or understanding of, mental ill health (desirable)
· A good understanding of the negative impact that caring responsibilities may have on children and their development and be committed to York Carers Centre policies and procedures for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and adults

The SEND Education Helpline Adviser provides specialist education advice by telephone, e-mail, and social media to families with disabled children in the UK. What we’re looking for
You will have at least one year’s experience (or part-time equivalent) of working in an advice role of which SEND advice formed a substantial part. You will have experience and a good understanding of education issues that may impact families. In-depth knowledge of the SEND law in England Part 3 Children and Families Act 2014 and a working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice 2015. You will be able to confidently navigate websites to identify relevant information. You will have experience of using a CRM database to enter client records. You will be flexible and adaptable in your role and enjoy working in a friendly and supportive team.

Using a bespoke technology tool, a trained Early Literacy Interventionist works individually with target children.
We are seeking a part-time Early Literacy Interventionist (ELI), based at Galleywall Primary School in Southwark, South London. This ELI role, reporting to the Schools Development Manager, is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop and grow their knowledge of phonics and/or their teaching skill set. It is ideal for someone with previous school experience who is looking for a new and exciting challenge.
For your caseload of target children, you will conduct an initial baseline assessment and then deliver differentiated, 1:1, targeted, 7 minute phonics sessions to pupils using a systematic, synthetic approach. Although you are employed by Chapter One, you will work closely with the school team to understand the progression of the school’s phonics teaching; establish tailored plans for each child and feedback on pupil progress. Using your knowledge and insight, you will also collaborate with colleagues at Chapter One to further improve the ELI model, the online tool and programme delivery.

Purpose of the role

Your new role / purpose of the post
To deliver a successful and newly established creative learning and participation offer for the Authorities Art Gallery.

Key skills and experience required

- Deliver a year-round programme of creative learning opportunities which culminate in showcase opportunities in the regular annual events calendar and/or as part of a major event, ensuring the projects are of the highest quality and have maximum impact.

- Work with the Head of Gallery and Amphitheatre to develop and create a creative learning offer for the Gallery, connecting with the wider Programme and delivering against Gallery specific themes (eg exhibitions and the collection); drive event audience footfall into the venue through an attractive and engaging participation package, focused on young people and families.
- Review and revise the Galleries schools programme to ensure the offer is aligned to the wider Programme and that exhibitions and the Gallery's collection are reflected in wider education work as well as at the Gallery. Working with the Events Manager, procure workshop leaders for gallery schools' activity.
- Actively contribute to the development and creation of creative learning projects, workshops and programmes for both current and prospective audiences in line with the strategic vision, including developing budgets, project plans and key aims and objectives.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver paid-for learning and engagement sessions across the City's heritage assets, driving revenues. Similarly, explore revenue opportunities for delivering a financial return across the remit of this role.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders from the local community including, but not limited to, London community groups, formal and informal education sector organisations, arts and non-arts organisations, and City businesses.
- Coordinate and implement a varied creative learning programme, including but not restricted to:
- Engaging with artists and facilitators to deliver work.
- Planning and delivering high-quality arts and education-based workshops and events, noting that this will include the procurement of workshop leaders as appropriate.
- Coordinating production, technical, infrastructure and materials requirements, drawing on the Events Officer roles and freelance technical and production teams where necessary.
- Completing risk assessments and necessary paperwork to ensure compliance.
- Fielding all enquiries regarding the creative learning programme and managing the booking process for any activity.
- Managing a database of participants and ensuring regular communication to retain engagement.
- Ensure the creative learning offer meets all legal and regulatory controls and measures, particularly in relevance to working with young people.
- Act as the Safeguarding Lead
- Identify and execute marketing activity for the creative learning programme, working closely with the Content Team to design and produce required marketing assets.
- Champion creativity, the arts and culture in communities and engage participants within the overarching context of the Programme.
What you'll need to succeed
- A track record of excellence in developing and delivering creative participatory programmes.
- Experience of working with or engaging young people and families in programmes/projects in either an arts, museum, heritage, school or equivalent setting.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and the latest initiatives in heritage education.
- Good experience gained in a cultural role, planning and coordinating projects, including compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
- Experience of successfully managing relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, e.g. local authorities, suppliers, artists, facilitators and corporate and community partners.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office
- Proven ability to work well as part of a team and on one's own with minimum supervision, using initiative with accuracy.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to compose a wide range of documents and correspondence in the organisation and delivery of participation projects. (A)
- Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to discuss details and requirements for projects with a broad range of stakeholders and deliver creative sessions for a broad range of audiences.
- Excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure to tight timescales whilst running a variety of tasks simultaneously to meet key objectives in the organisation, administration and delivery of events.
- A flexible, enthusiastic, adaptable and creative approach to work.
- A demonstrable interest in the cultural, creative industries and the heritage sector and a passion for engaging a wide range of people in creative learning opportunities.
