As interim Senior Manager, Diversity and Inclusion (D&I), you’ll join our dedicated team of diversity professionals at an exciting time, with the opportunity to build momentum across a broad portfolio of impactful diversity and inclusion programmes. Reporting to the Head of Diversity and Inclusion, you will provide oversight and support on the Academy’s work, engaging engineering companies and engineers in industry to increase diversity and embed inclusive cultures.

Leading a team of thee three Programme Managers, you will oversee the successful delivery of exciting, externally facing D&I initiatives, including:

• The Graduate Engineering Engagement Programme (GEEP): Supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds in engineering to transition into engineering employment.
• The Inclusive Leadership Programme (ILP): Empowering leaders at different career stages to embed inclusive practices within their organisations.
• The online EDI Platform Culture+: supporting small and medium engineering organisations to develop behaviours and processes which foster an inclusive culture.
• Our wider programme of industry engagement events raising awareness, building understanding and inspiring action to implement D&I good practice within engineering settings.

Location

Working with two highly experienced Programme Coordinators, you will help to grow our existing Youth Development Team activities, currently present in Hampton, and continue the development of our newly launched Aspire project.

This is a maternity cover role for a minimum period of 6 months starting in June. You will be based in Peterborough but also spend time at our centre in Cambridge.

You will manage our Lead Youth Development Worker and Aspire Development Worker, in Peterborough, encouraging them to establish positive relationships with young people, from which we development activities, and provide advice and support.

Joining a growing Peterborough team, you’ll support the expansion of weekly groups, one-to-one work, family support, school-based alternative education, trips and residential experiences. Increasing partnership working with local community groups and agencies will be key to this.

Romsey Mill's Youth Development Team (YDT) works with disadvantaged, at-risk and vulnerable young people (aged 10 - 21 years) across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. YDT are passionate about supporting young people to overcome challenges, live fulfilling lives and inspire change in the world. We currently engage around 1200 young people each year. Aspire is the name of Romsey Mill’s project that supports autistic children and young people. We currently deliver 14 specialist youth clubs across Cambridge, Cambourne, Linton and Hampton supporting over 180 autistic young people. We’re excited about further extending the work across Peterborough. You will work out of the office Romsey Mill rents at CSK Church in Hampton for 3-4 days per week. Harris Hill has an excellent opportunity for a Fundraising and Events Administrator to join a conservation charity for 3 months on a full time, hybrid basis.

Our client, a leading London university is looking to appoint a temporary Systems Administrator, to provide general ledger systems administration, including cost centres and hierarchies, and other standing data for their finance system, SunAccounts.

This is a full time hybrid role, with 2 days on site, running for 6-8 weeks in the first instance.

My client is a small but ambitious membership body working across the UK’s vibrant theatre sector. Currently in the early stages of embedding a new vision and mission, they are looking to their back office functions to ensure they are fit for the organisation’s exciting new strategy.

As such they are looking to recruit an interim Project Accountant to lead on a review of the organisation’s accounting processes and controls including financial accounting, management reporting, capital investment plans and pensions.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant with a track record of working in the Not-for-Profit space. Comfortable with working on a change programme, you will enjoy the variety of tasks outside of business as usual.

The Role

This role will ensure the organisation is following robust financial systems and processes; carry out all day-to-day accounting tasks; and ensure timely production of financial information to inform management decisions. Most tasks can be done from home, however some tasks such as banking and petty cash reconciliation will require you to attend our offices. Once the initial training is complete you will be able to arrange your own hours, to be worked Monday to Friday.

This role is for a fixed period of 12 months, to cover maternity leave.

About You

A proven track record of relevant financial administration experience is essential and competence in the use of Xero accounting software, Excel and other MS packages such as word and Outlook is essential. You will have an organised approach to workload and ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, be flexible and adapt to the requirements of the role. You must be able to clearly convey financial information to non-finance colleagues.

This role would suit someone looking to increase their experience of working within the charity sector as part of a busy and friendly finance team, perhaps whilst studying to complete AAT Level 4 or similar.
