We are an ambitious charity providing essential services within our community, and this is an exciting time to join our organisation as our new Chief Executive. The scope of our work and demand for our services has grown considerably over the years, answering the needs we have seen within our community.
The new CEO will play a vital role in shaping the future, providing vision and strategic direction for the charity, as well as taking responsibility for all aspects of operational management including business planning, income generation, effective delivery of contracts, projects and services, policy and influencing, and oversight of operational support including IT, HR, and finance functions.
Working closely with the Board, you’ll be leading the development of our services in line with need whilst also increasing our profile, acting as an ambassador for the organisation and cultivating positive relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure the profile and impact of CAWF and its services. Effectively engaging staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders, while continuing to secure new funding streams will be key to your success. You will be a natural advocate and champion for equality, diversity and inclusion for our clients, staff, and volunteers.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Proven senior leadership experience and a passion for leading and enabling teams to thrive and develop.
- Experience of running and improving high-quality, value and volume client-facing services at a senior level in a multi-stakeholder environment
- Excellent financial and business acumen with a history of successful business development, income generation and income diversification.
- Comprehensive strategic business planning experience and ability to deliver on key targets both strategically and operationally.
- Strong relationship-building, networking, and influencing of external stakeholders.

Location : Camden, North London. This role gives you the opportunity to work from home three days a week.
Salary : £40,000
National Eczema Society is the UK charity dedicated to making life better for people with eczema and their families. As a relatively small and agile organisation, they punch above their weight and have big ambitions.
As Research Engagement Lead you will lead on medical research and patient research engagement for the Society.
This is a new role at National Eczema Society and demonstrates the charity's commitment to growing their support for eczema research. There is considerable scope for the postholder to shape the way the Society supports eczema research in the future. They have an ambitious strategy, including establishing a research grant programme and creating an 'Experts by Experience' patient panel to ensure research engagement drives the change people with eczema want most. The postholder provides the principal channel of communication and advice between the charity and the eczema research community.
The successful candidate will have experience of research grant administration and a background working with patients and supporting the involvement of patients and carers in research. You must be confident communicating complex science to a broad spectrum of people (ranging from researchers to the general public), be able to plan, budget and monitor grant award expenditure and be comfortable taking decisions and responsibility.

- Preservation & Conservation - preserving and conserving significant historic buildings, structures, objects, works of art, collections and records.
- Young Women’s Mental Health - supporting young women with their mental health by improving their access to high quality, gender and age informed services.
We are seeking a part-time Grants Manager to work with the Director to help manage the Preservation and Conservation programme. You will be part of the whole grant making process including assessment of grant applications, portfolio management, undertaking due diligence and writing case papers for Trustees’ consideration. You will communicate with applicants and grant holders in order to understand their projects, seek further information, and keep them up to date with the assessment timetable.
Working with colleagues you will help develop and improve our application and monitoring processes with the aim to improve the experience for applicants and grantees. You will also support the Communications Manager to share stories and learnings from completed projects and celebrate their success.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ experience of grant making in the heritage sector with a good knowledge of the funding ecologies and policy environment. You will understand the needs, challenges and opportunities faced by small volunteer led heritage/community organisations and will be confident in using grant making databases and analysing data.
