Ideally, you will have previous experience of working with birth relatives whose children have been placed for adoption and you will have a good understanding of the adoption process.  You will work with relatives from a range of diverse backgrounds, lived experiences and those who may be neuro diverse and you will need to demonstrate understanding, respectfulness and adaptability to your social work practice.

GFS is a feminist organisation with a mission to empower girls and young women in England and Wales to live their best lives. Girls as young as 6 tell us that they cannot be themselves. This causes problems for them and society. So, we offer an early intervention service for girls living in areas of deprivation to have the greatest impact.

This is an exciting role with an opportunity to lead the charity into the 150th Year of delivery and with a new strategy to address need. It will involve working with the leadership team and all departments but also the board and their support committees, the ambassadors, and presidents as well as the wonderful team of volunteers across England and Wales.

The Role

The Fundraising Officer will coordinate all fundraising activities in line with the Charity’s overall strategy and sustainability plans.  Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Fundraising Officer will identify sources of income and build good working relationships with funders to achieve agreed funding targets.

About the Organisation

The Charity has a desire to grow and become more sustainable, the Fundraising Officer will play a key role in achieving this ambition.  The aim of the Charity is to enhance the life skills of disadvantaged youngsters using the sport of rowing.  The charity works closely with Henley Stewards Charitable Trust and British Rowing to help achieve this aim.

About the Role

Working within a small fundraising team, the Partnerships and Event Fundraiser will make a significant contribution to securing a legacy for thousands of local young people through the generation of new income. This income generation is broken into two programmes: the Community Fundraising programme and the SME Corporate Partnerships programme, both of which you'll be involved in. As Partnerships and Event Fundraiser, you'll be working across a number of projects and events to engage with businesses about creative ways in which they can support the Hive Youth Zone.

The Community programme will encourage the local community to fundraise for the Hive through approaching schools, groups, and associations, and recruiting participants for events. The SME Corporate Partnerships programme will encourage businesses to donate up to £1000 through initiatives such as Charity of the Year applications, staff fundraising initiatives, and recruiting support from smaller local businesses. You will also support and inspire existing corporate partners as part of your role.

About You

This role is a perfect opportunity for a fundraiser, with a proven track record of securing funds via community and corporate fundraising, to set up a new Community programme at the Hive. We are also very much open to candidates from a sales, marketing, and account management background, as well as candidates with events and projects experience. To be successful in this role, you will have experience meeting financial targets, and managing a pipeline of potential supporters/donors/clients.

As an Operations Officer, you will support the operational delivery and development of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) through managing a portfolio of Licensed Organisations (LOs). These LOs are mostly schools but we also work with other organisations such as colleges, local authorities, and community groups.

The role will be field-based, and you will be expected to visit organisations within your portfolio regularly. Coram Voice provides visiting advocacy services to most of the secure units nationally, to Secure Training Centres, Juvenile Young Offender Institutions, psychiatric hospitals, residential special schools and children’s homes.

About the Role

You will work directly with care experienced children and young people and those on Child Protection Plans providing them with advocacy support in the community and in a variety of settings. You will empower and support them to ensure their voices are heard within decision–making processes that effect their lives. You will be a capable ambassador for Coram Voice with the ability to engage effectively with professionals, carers, other stakeholders and most importantly children and young people.

The interview process comprises of a written exercise and a panel interview. Successful candidates will have a further one to one interview in accordance within Warner recommendations. Two-year fixed term contract.

Based at Claire House Wirral, with some time from home and Claire House Liverpool, West Derby

This is an incredibly exciting time to join Claire House as we deliver an ambitious five-year strategy to reach more children and develop our second site in Liverpool. We need an experienced internal communications officer who can take complex ideas and make them sound simple and engaging.

This role will provide expert internal communications advice and support across the organisation, helping to communicate progress on key projects and improving employee engagement and organisational culture. You will also work with external stakeholders including families and healthcare professionals. The job will include drafting messaging, copy writing, developing engaging content and marketing materials and implementing communications project plans.

Previous experience in a similar organisation is desirable, but internal communications expertise, lots of energy and an ability to build relationships are essential. In return, this role will offer an opportunity to help the hospice transform the way it works, massively increase its impact and the vital support it offers to seriously and terminally ill babies, children, young adults and their families.

This role is full time 37.5 hours per week.
