About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our talented team as a Dementia Adviser. You will have the rewarding experience of providing information, guidance and support to people affected by dementia in identifying their needs, to help maintain independence, improving sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives.

About you
We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with an understanding of dementia, and the needs of those affected with these conditions. We are looking for someone who is approachable and knowledgeable to join our knowledgeable and passionate team. Our Dementia Adviser’s support people in their homes we interact face to face, over the telephone and virtually, to give people the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions about their future. As a community-based worker, you will be required to attend a range of meetings, appointments and venues as well as working from home.
You will;
- Be empathetic and non-judgmental in your approach with a commitment to equal opportunity.
- It is desirable that you have knowledge and experience of Adult and Children Safeguarding, Information Governance policies and procedures and statutory laws such as the Mental Capacity Act
- Have good communication skills to meet the diverse needs of our community and represent their needs to statutory and other voluntary agencies.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a digital marketing expert to join the Digital Engagement Team at Alzheimer’s Society. Now is an exciting time to join the team as we look to use insight to drive and develop our communications with supporters and improve the supporter experience. Supporter Engagement is one of the most important teams that is central to the success of Alzheimer’s Society. The function of the team is to manage multi-channel communication with our supporters, both inbound and outbound. Bipolar UK is a rapidly expanding charity with big plans to grow its income and impact over the next five years. We are looking for ambitious and talented individuals who will maximise the opportunity presented by the Bipolar Commission and key strategic relationships. We are looking to grow our network of in-person groups, maximise the impact of our expanding online resources and generate increased income and support from charitable trusts, key partnerships, commissioned income, individual givers and major donors.
Our Part-Time Fundraising Officer will support the organisation's fundraising joining a high performing team of fundraisers.
Job deliverables:
- Identify and maximise opportunities to raise unrestricted and restricted funds from small trusts and other funding bodies to ask for grants up to £10,000
- Plan, prepare and write compelling applications for funding
- Build relationships with trusts, foundations and other funding bodies that help Bipolar UK secure long-term funding and support
- Achieve income targets that support Bipolar UK’s strategic service delivery goals
- Keep accurate records on Salesforce CRM
- With the Trusts Manager, develop our ‘thank you’ processes and donor stewardship programmes
- Create reports and updates for donors that bring to life the impact of their support
- Meet regular deadlines and manage your own workload
- Develop excellent working relationships across Bipolar UK
- Develop and maintain your knowledge of the charity sector and fundraising environment, to keep up to date with changes
- Be administratively self-supporting
- Understand and empathise with the beneficiaries and portray them (and the work of Bipolar UK) with sensitivity and accuracy
- Undertake any other duties that are relevant to the job as requested by the Trusts Manager and the CEO
- Work closely with other members of the fundraising team including the Partnership Development Manager and Strategic Partnership Manager, and collaborate on tasks and projects where applicable

This is an exciting opportunity for a values-led and dynamic leader to become CEO of Rochdale and District Mind and guide the organisation towards fulfilling its mission and making a positive impact on the mental health and well-being of our community.
Salary: £57,000 to £62,000 per annum - dependent on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Manchester (opportunities for hybrid working after an initial embedding period)

Requirements:
You will need to have:
· Experience working as a CEO or senior leader with substantial strategic, budgetary and leadership responsibilities, for a similar-sized or larger organisation
· Genuine passion for our mission and Diversity, Equality and Inclusion
· Proven track record of successful business development/fundraising
· Demonstrable experience in governance and compliance
· Experience of building a culture that promotes continuous learning, inclusion, collaboration, and accountability
· Demonstrable experience as a values-led, resilient and people-centred leader
· Strong financial acumen
· Excellent communication and influencing skills
· Understanding of challenges affecting the voluntary sector
