Advice for Overseas Candidates
Generally speaking, the employers who use our site are looking for candidates already based in the UK. People from countries outside the European Economic Area will need a Work Permit to work in the UK. Some do not, e.g. people with right of permanent residence in the UK, students and commonwealth nationals. A Work Permit is not something you apply for - the employer must apply on your behalf, and it will only be granted where it can be demonstrated that the employer cannot recruit a resident national for the job. Most of the roles we carry on CharityJOB can be filled by resident nationals so it is unlikely that the employer will look outside the UK. However, to see jobs where the employer has indicated they would be willing to consider candidates based overseas, please follow this link: http://www.charityjob.co.uk/jobs/overseas.
