We are seeking an experienced and strategically minded Finance Trustee to join our Board and play a key role in supporting the continued growth and sustainability of Cherry Trees.

In this role, you will provide expert financial guidance to the Board of Trustees, helping to shape the organisation’s long-term direction in partnership with the Chair. You will support the charity’s financial affairs, ensuring they are managed with integrity, transparency, and in line with legal, constitutional, and regulatory requirements.

You will ensure that robust financial systems and controls are in place, with accurate records maintained at all times. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will monitor and report on the Charity’s financial health, providing clear and insightful analysis to support decision-making.

The role also includes oversight of the preparation of financial reports, annual accounts, audits, and statutory returns, ensuring the Charity meets all its financial obligations and deadlines.

Safeguarding Team Volunteer

AuDHD UK

Location: Remote (UK-based)

Reports to: Designated Safeguarding Lead

Commitment: Flexible, part-time (details negotiable)

Role: Unpaid volunteer position

Purpose: To safeguard vulnerable adults accessing our services and address any potential safeguarding referrals that we receive within and outside of the organisation. The Safeguarding Team Volunteer will contribute to the completion of risk assessments for beneficiaries wishing to access our services, and complete incident logs for escalation to DSL/Deputy DSL where required. 

This role requires an Enhanced Adult DBS - please only apply if you meet the requirements for a DBS check to be carried out (a 5 year UK address history with a maximum of 12 months abroad AND a biometric passport/ID card for an online ID check).  

Key Responsibilities

Safeguarding Case Management

• Act as a point of contact for safeguarding concerns within the charity and its beneficiaries.

• Respond to incidents and complete escalations where appropriate.

Risk Assessment & Policy Oversight

• Manage risk assessment case load, ensuring high standards of safeguarding is maintained.

• Be involved in the review and updating of AuDHD UK’s Safeguarding Framework and related policies.

Compliance & Governance

• Maintain accurate and confidential safeguarding records.

• Contribute to audits, reviews, and continuous improvement activities.

Training & Awareness

• Promote a culture of vigilance, accountability, and reflective practice.

Essential Skills & Attributes

• Recognised safeguarding training or substantial safeguarding experience.

• Adequate understanding of safeguarding considerations for AuDHD UK’s beneficiaries and best practice.

• Sound judgment, discretion, and empathy in complex situations.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately to sensitive cases.

• Commitment to AuDHD UK’s mission and values.

• Lived experience of AuDHD (desired).

Time Commitment Estimate

• Risk assessment/Incident log completion: ~3 hours a week (this may be increased at times of increased activity within the charity e.g. before the beginning of Peer Support Cohort assignments)

• Safeguarding audits, governance, and meetings: 2–4 hrs/quarter

An established and person-centred charity based in High Wycombe and Aylesbury providing a range of services for adults with learning disabilities, enabling them to meet new people, make new friends, develop skills for independence and enjoy stimulating activities. Our Team and Board at Social Link believe wholeheartedly in promoting the abilities of our members and providing opportunities for them to live life to their fullest potential.

Social Link are experiencing growth in the demand for their services due to the shortage of provisions for adults aged over 18 years living in the local area. We work with approximately 170 individuals and had an income of £536k in the 2024/25 financial year, just over 19% increase on the previous year. Due to our growth we are seeking a new Board member bringing new skills to contribute to our future success.

Our Board members are key to guiding, directing and safeguarding Social Link as a responsible and forward-thinking charity. We would like to increase the size of our current board to ensure that we have the necessary skills in-house for stability and responsiveness.

Meetings held at Social Link, YouthSpace, Desborough Street, High Wycombe, HP11 2RA, at other local venues and on via Zoom online conferencing. Fundraising events held at various locations across South Bucks.

Main tasks:

· To ensure that the charity and its representatives function within the law and in line with the Social Link policies.

· To maintain financial sustainability.

· Continually striving for best practice in governance that adds to client and public confidence and trust in the charity.

· To determine the overall direction and development of the charity through good governance and clear strategic planning.

• To maintain absolute confidentiality about all sensitive/confidential information received in the course of trustee’s responsibilities to the charity. 

Skills/Experience:

Ideally, the candidate will have:

· Ability to work as part of a team

About Kith & Kids
We provide activities, opportunities, information, and support for people with a learning disability or autism, their parents, and siblings.
For all our projects and activities we are dependent on volunteers.

Our Employability Project
10am to 3pm, Monday and/or Friday during term-time

Our Employment & Life Skills Project (ELSP) helps adults with learning disabilities or autism to access further education, work experience and visits to mainstream community opportunities. 

What you’ll do
You’ll act as a mentor to the members of the group.  You’ll be helping the group(s) develop a range of life skills, things that many of us take for granted.  These include Maths and English skills, independent living, the use of public transport, social skills and even the sourcing of employment. 

For the people in these groups, these things can be very difficult to develop and achieve without regular support. Through regular support and meetings, members and volunteers develop greater trust, skills, and confidence together.

Requirements

What you need
You do not need experience. Full disability awareness training will be provided before you begin volunteering with us.
The only requirements we ask of you are enthusiasm, energy and to be open-minded.
Minimum age for volunteers is 20.

How much time?
The project runs from 10am to 3pm, Mondays and/or Fridays during term-time.
Everyone gets the most out of the project if you come every week for at least a term as you'll build a close relationship with the members you'll have been supporting and will create the most impact.

When do I need to come?

Volunteers must attend training and complete a DBS check before taking part.

We'll be running face-to-face training in north London starting on the 15th February with lots of other dates to choose from.

In the meantime, we'll be meeting volunteers online from mid-January.

Training will take place in North London – once we have met you online for a chat, we will send you confirmation of our training venue details.

RNIB has been invited to create a show garden for the RHS at their new venue for 2026 – RHS Flower Show Sandringham. The garden is supported by Players of the People’s Postcode Lottery and we’re working with Paul Hervey-Brookes, an internationally known garden designer and RHS judge to create an accessible, sensory space that celebrates talking books and gifts in wills. Gifts in Wills are a very special way of giving and account for more than a third of RNIB’s annual income.

We’re looking for volunteers with excellent communication skills, lots of enthusiasm and who enjoy talking to people about the work of RNIB. An interest in gardening would be advantageous but not essential.

The dates are the 22-26 July 2026 for a minimum of one day and will be held in the grounds of the royal family-owned Norfolk estate in Sandringham. The days will be busy and varied and could include:

• talking to members of the public
• handing out merchandise
• helping supporters in the garden

How you will be supported in your role:
Training will be given before the show and there will be members of staff on hand throughout the duration of the show.

What skills and experience are needed?

• We would like volunteers who are confident talking to people. The opportunity will involve standing for most of the day. Volunteers are needed for one day or more between 22 until 26 July 2026. Please note, this role is only available for those who live within a close proximity to Norfolk.

We are looking for volunteers to help to create some backdrops (that fold down small please, storage is an issue!) that we can use at our events and interactive workshops. Our workshop and safe bubble is all about creating an imaginative world and we want to make the experience as immersive as possible for families. We have already created a magical world called Bubble World and now we want to bring it to life.

About the Role

We are looking for volunteers to help source, sell, and send clothes on Vinted to raise money for our services. This role is not about listing your own items but about sourcing donated items from others that we can then sell to support our work.

As Buttons & Bubbles continues to grow, we are hoping to put together a team of assistants who will be responsible for attending in-person fundraising opportunities. Volunteers will help with small tasks at the events we attend and organise. This may include helping children take part in our activities, setting up and packing away equipment, and engaging with families and members of the public. 

Who Are We Looking For? 

• Someone who is passionate about our mission of inclusion, representation, and belonging. 

• No prior experience is necessary, but an enthusiasm for creating events and supporting fundraising efforts is essential. 

• You should be happy working as part of a team while also being confident in taking on tasks independently. 

• Be able to commute to Surrey and Berkshire for our events.
