Eight Quaker charities in London are merging at the end of 2026.

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to work alongside the Senior Finance Manager as this merger takes place and to support QiL longterm. As the Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial processing and reporting for QiL, supporting both centrally managed and locally managed Local Meetings. You will  be an integral part of the finance team.

You do not need to be a Quaker, or to have previous experience of Quaker structures, to apply. But you will need to be able to work within a values-led organisation, and work alongside those appointed to volunteer roles. 

The successful candidate will have experience in financial administration, bookkeeping, or accounts processing.They will also have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills and strong numerical and IT skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets and finance systems. They will combine these skills with the ability to work effectively independently, in a team and with a broader community, including the ability to communicate financial matters to non-specialists.

Forest Farm Peace Garden is a small East London charity offering ecotherapy and community gardening to support people’s mental health and wellbeing.

We are looking for a strategic, hands‑on Director (21 hours per week) to lead our next chapter, working closely with a committed staff team, trustees and volunteers.

As Director you will hold overall responsibility for the charity’s vision, strategy and day‑to‑day operations, ensuring our programmes run safely, sustainably and in line with our values. You will lead on fundraising and finance, including developing and delivering a fundraising strategy, managing budgets and reporting to funders and the Board of Trustees.

You will line‑manage our Ecotherapy Worker, Gardener, and three sessional staff, nurture a positive, inclusive culture, and make sure staff and volunteers are supported to do their best work. Building relationships with local mental health services, community organisations and partners will be central to the role, helping us reach people who can benefit most from time in the garden.

This role would suit someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with practical delivery in a small organisation, and who is confident working independently while collaborating closely with others. Main purpose of the job

• To support the organisation’s day-to-day finance, HR and impact data administration. This includes maintaining and strengthening financial controls, contributing to monthly and year-end financial processes, and supporting with finance/HR reports as required.
• To collect, manage and analyse data to improve service quality, demonstrate impact, and meet reporting requirements. The post holder will ensure information is accurate, compliant and used effectively to support decision-making, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• To work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure management information is produced accurately and on time, which will support effective strategic and operational decision-making across the organisation.

Main Tasks

Finance Administration and Financial Control

1. Process income sales invoices, grant claims and associated receipts and payments, ensuring timely receipt of all revenue.

2. Process purchase ledger invoices and associated payments.

3. Calculate accruals, prepayments and internal recharges.

4. Complete bank reconciliations.

5. Maintain and update the organisation’s asset register.

6. Maintain project files in line with funding guidelines.

7. Record cash account transactions, including weekly cash issues to relevant budget holders, ensuring all returns comply with financial procedures.

8. Monitor individual budgets and highlight any issues or concerns to the appropriate colleagues.

9. Liaise with the charity’s auditors and provide information required to support the annual audit.

10.  Assist in the design, management and co-ordination of appropriate finance and administrative systems as required.

11.  Ensure day-to-day financial processes comply with the Financial Procedures Policy.

12.  Contribute to procurement and value-for-money activities.

Impact, Data and Reporting

13.  Support the organisation to collect, analyse and use data to improve service quality, demonstrate impact, and meet regulatory and funding requirements.

14.  Support the development of evaluation frameworks and tools, including surveys, feedback forms and outcome trackers.

15.  Collect qualitative and quantitative evidence, including case studies, feedback and statistics.

16.  Assist with the production of reports for funders, trustees and the Senior Leadership Team, including annual and impact reports.

The Dementia Service sits within the Healthier Lifestyles Team and currently offers six monthly Memory Tree Cafés for people living with mild to moderate dementia and their carers, alongside co-located support groups for carers. Cafes are delivered at our Brigstock Road Community Hall and across the borough in local community venues.

The main areas of responsibility for this role are: coordinating, facilitating and expanding the service with lead responsibilities for our newest café and our carers groups. existing café and carers’ group; including prioritising café expansion supported by current funding.

The post holder will take lead responsibility for the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of our dementia-related services across the borough. You will line manage and support the dementia service staff and volunteer team to provide a welcoming, inclusive environment within our Memory Tree Cafes and carers’ support groups which promotes interaction, stimulation and wellbeing. Purpose of the Role

To be part of a Panel Pool, from which Disciplinary Panels will be convened by the Chartered Institute of Fundraising (CIOF) Professional Conduct Committee.

To consider complaints with reference to the CIOF Member Code of Conduct and the Code of Behaviour at events, consistent with the CIOF Complaints & Disciplinary Rules. 

Accountability

Panels will be convened as needed by the Professional Conduct Committee.  Panel Pool members are appointed to a Panel by the Committee. 

Panel decisions must follow the CIOF Complaints & Disciplinary Rules, including definitions, scope, procedures, and available sanctions. 

Key Responsibilities

• Review case files, investigation reports, submissions, and evidence in advance of hearings. 
• Participate in hearings (virtual or in person), ensuring parties are treated fairly and respectfully. 
• Assess evidence against the CIOF Member Code of Conduct, CIOF Code of Behaviour at Events and Training, and any other relevant provisions, such as findings of the Fundraising Regulator. 
• Determine findings of fact and whether standards/rules have been breached. Where appropriate, apply appropriate sanctions per the Complaints and Disciplinary Rules, considering proportionality and precedent. 
• Provide clear, reasoned written outcomes and recommendations, mindful of publication protocols and confidentiality.

Person Specification

Essential

• An understanding of the UK fundraising sector.

Time Commitment

Appointment is to the Panel pool for a fixed term of three years, renewable once by agreement, with allocation to specific Panels on a case-by-case basis.

This is a vital role that supports our incredible supporters — whether they’re making a donation, updating their details or asking about our campaigns. You'll be the first point of contact for many of them, helping to deliver a warm, professional and efficient experience by phone, email and post.

You'll also support the team with accurate data entry, payment processing and the day-to-day running of our supporter database, helping to ensure every gift and action is recorded and acknowledged appropriately.

Key responsibilities:

· Responding to supporter enquiries by phone, email and post

· Processing donations and setting up direct debits

Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM systems is helpful, but not essential – we’ll provide full training.

The Protected Landscapes Partnership and Defra are supporting our Partnership to catalyse progress towards the UK’s nature commitments across these special landscapes through the multi-million pound Big Chalk Nature Recovery Fund. Role Purpose

The Moving Medicine Patients Project Coordinator will support the delivery and coordination of nationally significant, cross-sector programmes aimed at reducing barriers to physical activity for people living with long-term health conditions.

The role works across major national projects, including the Sport England-funded Moving Together project and the FSEM and Nuffield Health partnership project focused on person-centred care pathways.

The postholder will coordinate project activity across health, physical activity, policy, academic and community sectors, supporting stakeholder engagement, governance, communications, events, evaluation and delivery.

This is a fast-paced, multi-partner role requiring organisation, initiative and the ability to maintain momentum across complex workstreams, contributing to wider systems-change efforts to improve access to physical activity and reduce inequalities.

Duties
