Who we are

Every six minutes in the UK someone loses their sight. By 2050 an estimated four million people will be living with sight loss. Many people believe this is unpreventable and irreversible. However, pioneering research using the latest technologies and innovations is already achieving results, and giving hope to the two million people living with sight loss in the UK today.

Our vision is for a future everyone can see. Fighting sight loss requires large scale investment to fund innovative clinical solutions which can be delivered at scale. As the leading eye research charity in the UK, Fight for Sight commits around £2m a year to fund research, and is bringing together patients, scientists, clinicians, policy makers, researchers, and generous supporters to prevent sight loss.
