Who are we looking for
We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to join School Partnerships as the National Sales Director.
This is a newly created role as we focus our efforts on growing sales and recruitment for our professional development programmes. You'll be responsible for ensuring we meet demanding central recruitment targets for our Department for Education contracts and providing solid leadership to develop a high performing sales team.
You'll also be accountable for growing the sales of Ambition Institute’s own ‘traded’ offer to schools and Multi Academy Trusts across the country.
In addition to your day-to-day tasks, you can expect to introduce sales strategies and scalability techniques as well as supporting with contract management for both new and existing bids.
Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Executive Director of Partnerships. We have an exciting opportunity for an Advice Casework Lead (debt, benefits and housing) to join our team as part of Oasis Hub Waterloo. Oasis Waterloo has run debt advice services and a food bank for the last decade. More recently we have developed further advice and support programmes, including benefits, immigration, and housing advice. We are now looking for a relational, supportive, experienced advice worker, to lead a small team and ensure we are delivering excellent advice, in a holistic community setting.

Main Areas of Responsibility
Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with Internal Audit Manager in the development of work programs to obtain assurance on controls and manage risks to improve the charity’s performance.
- Delivering full end to end internal audits and preparing audit planning documentation including conducting walkthroughs of procedures.
- Participating in risk-based audit engagements from planning to reporting, and producing quality deliverables to both IA team and professional standards according to the annual audit plan.
- Assessing the internal control environment through control and substantive testing in accordance with the Audit & Risk Committee approved audit plan.
- Identifying opportunities for improving internal controls; ensuring integrity and reliability of the controls.
- Attending close out meetings to discuss findings identified, providing support and guidance to stakeholders and management on how to handle new opportunities.
- Finalising audit findings and use judgment to provide an overall opinion on the control environment by developing recommendations to strengthen internal controls.
- Performing follow up reviews to assess implementation status of internal audit findings.
- Participating in IA team methodology review & updates to ensure quality and conformance with International Auditing Standards.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience in the Internal Audit role
- Have knowledge of COSO or similar control/governance frameworks
- Be able to demonstrate competencies required to plan and perform internal audit engagements in conformance with the Standards
- Be able to produce, analyse and interpret complex data to identify issues
- Have a proven ability to produce written reports of a good standard
- Show good understanding of risk management and assurance techniques
- Have good communication and stakeholder relationship skills
- Have good planning and organisational skills
- Be resilient and able to accept reasonable challenge but push back where necessary

The School-Led Network (SLN) is a national partnership led by the Harris Federation and formed by the Harris Leadership College, NETSP, Newcastle University, Outwood Institute of Education and the Star Institute. Together, these organisations share a vision of a national school-led system with a culture of professional learning within and between schools that drives school improvement and ensures that all pupils can achieve beyond expectations.
Working with our Harris Leadership College, a professional development hub for the Harris Federation, you will be responsible for the day-to-day project delivery and support of the School-Led Network programme of National Professional Qualifications (NPQs).
