Temple Church is located in the Temple, City of London. The Church serves the legal colleges (Inns of Court) of Inner and Middle Temple, and serves members of the Inns and their families, London’s residents, visiting jurists and travellers from all over the world through the provision of some of the most uplifting services, music and discussions in London. Inner and Middle Temple have established a new registered charity, Temple Church Trust (Reg no 1205712), to maintain the Church, support its choristers and professional musical team, and develop its charitable activities. In advance of the Trust becoming operational in the summer, the Temple Church Committee wishes to appoint the first Chief Executive Officer of the Trust.
The role:
The CEO will be expected to lead and coordinate an established team of full-time and part-time staff; manage the Church’s multifaceted stakeholder network; ensure close control and management of the Church’s resources; and represent the Church and its work to the two Inns and externally so that the Church can function effectively and plan confidently for the future. The CEO will also be responsible for the Church's sensitive commercial development through the Trust’s wholly-owned commercial subsidiary company.
What we need:
You will be an excellent leader with effective interpersonal skills. Your recent experience will be at the director level or equivalent in the third sector, public sector, military or commerce. You will have a proven track record of leading or significantly contributing to the leadership of an organisation similar in size and complexity to the Temple Church. Proven experience in managing and delivering projects and income generation is essential. You should demonstrate a commitment to learning and development and sympathy for the mission and values of the Church of England.
What we offer:

About the role
Hours:7.4 hours total (with possibility of increase dependent on funding)

Background to the post
An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer. The postholder will be responsible for overseeing the financial administration of the Asylum Justice office, maintaining accurate financial records and accounts (with support from the Treasurer), claiming GiftAid, and liaising with suppliers. This role will have limited client contact as the focus of the role is to lead on maintaining financial processes.
Key responsibilities and duties
The post holder will have the following areas of responsibility: -
1. Finance (90%)
a.Maintain accurate financial records, process invoices, and set up online payments for authorisation;
b.Draft monthly payroll figures to send to the accountants.
c.Work with the Funding Officer to use QuickBooks in keeping track of payments and grant fund expenditures.
d.Liaise with the Treasurer and Chair of Asylum Justice in order to produce quarterly budget reports.
e.Aid preparation of financial information and budgets for funding bids, grant reporting and audits with support from the Treasurer and Funding Officer.
f.Liaise with auditor and Treasurer for annual accounts.
g.Process GiftAid claims with support from Funding Officer.
h.Perform other financial administrative duties where necessary.
2. Operations Support (10%)
a.Assist in procuring equipment / supplies / services / travel / accommodation as required.
b.Liaise with suppliers such as our IT Consultant / case management system provider to ensure maintenance of the organisation’s infrastructure.
c.Manage of accreditation/subscription renewals and safe and accurate storing of key documents in the operations SharePoint.
3. General
a.To work within Asylum Justice Policies and Procedures at all times;
b.To take part in training, learning and development as required by the role;

The Finance Officer/Bookkeeper will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely finance administration, across two databases (currently Sage and Salesforce). This is a vital role within HIWCF, as high quality finance information is fundamental to our role and reputation in the region as a trusted partner for our fundholders and grantees.
Key Tasks
· Adding all payments transactions (grants, invoices, salaries, expenses, HMRC payments etc) to Sage and the bank accounts, ensuring all evidence is correct and payments are correctly authorised
· Adding all donation income to Sage and Salesforce, and working with other team members to ensure they are acknowledged appropriately
· Adding all quarterly investment income to Sage and Salesforce and reconciling across both databases, and to the investment house reports and bank account
· Regular reconciliations between Sage and Salesforce and bank accounts
· Ensure HMRC payments and gift aid claims are undertaken in a timely manner
· Manage banking records
· Monthly reconciliations for Bank account, purchase ledger, Sage, Salesforce, prepayments, accruals, salaries, PAYE, pension etc
· Monthly journals for non-cost items
· Manage pension with NEST and other ad hoc pension providers and manage insurances
· Ad hoc finance related tasks including reporting on returned grants, managing pension payments, insurances etc

From booking travel and accommodation, holding responsibility for the planning and administration of the Purchase Order sheets, to liaising with the many stakeholders involved in the assessment and programme processes, you will have an opportunity to be involved in an interesting, fast paced and exciting role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Logistical support
- Provide effective logistical and administrative support to the Sector Improvement Programme(s), working closely with the Sector Improvement Lead and Programme Managers to ensure the successful delivery of the programmes
- Support the the planning and delivery of key Sector Improvement Programme activities including online and in-person events, handling the administrative and logistical tasks e.g. venue booking and travel arrangements
- Support the Charter Award Process by managing logistics for assessors during Award site visits and handling related bookings
- Use of our Project Management tools to set and receive work, manage deadlines and workflows alongside colleagues to complete projects and Programmes in a timely manner, ensuring high quality of work
Financial support
- Assist in onboarding the University Mental Health Charter Programme by managing administrative tasks such as purchase orders and processing documents (e.g. MOUs, new supplier forms etc.) and outstanding payments
- Administer finances for our Sector Improvement programmes; issuing purchase orders and ensuring timely payments
- Work with finance colleagues to ensure correct processes and procedures are followed accurately and compliant with finance requirements, and identify areas for process improvement
- Act as a cardholder for the team, making online purchases such as accommodation and travel bookings and following policies, procedures and guidance in the correct and responsible use of the Student Minds card
Data and process administration
- Administer data processes for the University Mental Health Charter Programme and Award process, in line with Data Protection Guidelines
- Collate and analyse evaluation data from Sector Improvement events (online and in person), generating timely reports and make recommendations for programme improvement
- Create essential documents requested by the Sector Improvement Programme team to support programme delivery and scalability
- Provide support to the Sector Improvement Team and Award Managers to enable efficient Award Assessment accreditation processes
- Maintain key working relationships with our network of Assessors and University Award Leads, addressing queries, scheduling and minuting award panels, sharing actions with the team
Working together
- Work closely with the Programme Liaison Officer to successfully deliver all aspects of the role, including managing university relationships, ensuring tasks are picked between roles and when required
- Attend programme-related meetings, and maintain communications with programme participants and key stakeholders through maintaining and use of up-to-date database(s)
- Actively participate in the testing and embedding of new digital systems to improve programme efficiency and engagement
- Stay updated on developments in Higher Education and gather insights from sector partners to feed into team decisions

This role will include responding to queries, liaising with assessors, universities and general enquiries. The post holder will be responsible for working with the team to develop and monitor our HUB and digital platforms, for developing regular newsletters and working with colleagues to liaise with the many stakeholders involved in the assessment and programme processes.
Key responsibilities
Liaison support
- Provide effective liaison and administrative support to the Sector Improvement Programme(s), working closely with the Sector Improvement Lead and Programme Managers to ensure thesuccessful delivery of the programmes
- Support the planning and delivery of key Sector Improvement Programme activities such as the Winter Panel and the recruitment of the Award Assessors, CPD training and responding togeneral enquiries

Digital and resources support

- Work closely with the Comms and Digital Team internally to develop and communicate clear timelines and resources needed throughout the year
- Support the annual onboarding of the Charter Programme, supporting the administrative tasks for the process, including some financial support. Lead on bringing together and distributing key documents such as welcome packs, Charter Framework documents etc.
- Support the coordinator (Programme and HUB) to onboard universities and Assessors to the HUB, and develop and grow the platform for members
- Update and oversee the Sector Improvement annual calendar of events and key activities/deliverables and share with the wider Student Minds team, identifying where dates may need to be moved
- Actively participate in the testing and embedding of new digital systems being led by the Digital
- Product Manager to increase efficiency and engagement for the Sector Improvement Programme and organisation as a whole for example collating product requirements

Role Requirements
• Act as a trusted, technical specialist for our business systems, by developing a comprehensive and rigorous knowledge-base of the software architecture, whilst overseeing its maintenance and ensuring the department (and by extension, the organisation) benefits from its full capabilities.
• Ensure that processes are automated (as far as reasonably practicable) and that business systems are fit for purpose, with technical requirements delivered in a timely manner.

The role

- Undertake annual safeguarding training.
- Adhere to the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures and policies. Recording incidents pertaining to pupil safety, including for illness, accidents and incidents, accepting that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and that ‘it could happen here’.

Job Profile
The post is a pivotal role in CAFOD’s Asia & Middle East (AME) team supporting the Head of Region in the management and co-ordination of regional programming and organisational processes ensuring smooth administration, programme cycle management and communications. The post holder will be responsible for building effective working relationships with peers in the International Programme Group, as well as with colleagues across CAFOD such as funding, finance, and communications. They will act as the AME focal point for communications, supporting programme teams to develop materials for internal and external audiences.
CAFOD’s Asia & Middle East region currently has core programmes in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Lebanon, Myanmar, occupied Palestinian territory and Israel, Sri Lanka and Syria.
Key Responsibilities
The scope of the post falls into the following broad functions:
- Support and co-ordination: supporting the Head of Region in the management and coordination of cross-regional work and relevant organisational processes.
- Communications: supporting the effective communication and flow of information across the regional team and with the rest of the organisation, including supporting programme teams to prepare communications materials.
- Programme & financial support: supporting the Head of Region in the management of cross-regional partnership projects/programmes, providing similar support to Programme Officers in the region when their workload requires.
- Administration: providing administrative support to the Head of Region and the regional team,
- Representation: of the region across CAFOD (and occasionally externally), as requested by the Head of Region.
Support and coordination:
- Support and coordinate the region’s responsibilities towards relevant organisational and departmental processes and initiatives, including planning and reporting;
- Maintain and monitor cross-regional budgets and financial statements, working with the Head of Region on quarterly and annual financial reviews;
- Co-ordinate relevant regional/management team meetings, and ad-hoc meetings between members of the regional team and colleagues across CAFOD;
- Work with AME staff to ensure that there is a good level of understanding of CAFOD’s operating systems, policies and procedures, and where necessary provide training and induction.
Programme & financial support:
- Assist the Head of Region in the management of any cross-regional partnership projects/programmes, including correspondence with partners, approval and payment of grants, monitoring and reviewing reports, and maintaining paper and electronic project files.
- Support Programme Officers across the region in their work with partners, managing grants to partners and other aspects of programme support when programme workloads require.
Communications:
- Support the effective flow of information and communication within the regional team and across CAFOD.
- Act as a key point of contact for information on the region’s work and work collaboratively with programme staff and other teams to ensure that CAFOD’s work in the region is fully reflected in the organisational agenda (e.g. in campaigning, fundraising, communications or media work).
- Be an active source of internal communication, providing easy access to information by developing and maintaining a regional team SharePoint site, as well as other specific sites on the intranet, and engaging with the media team as appropriate.
Administration:
- Provide administrative support to the Head of Region, including correspondence, information systems, management of the team diary, preparation and follow-up of monthly team meetings, design and monitoring of filing systems, and maintenance of database and other systems to provide effective planning, communication and information flow,
- Accompany staff to ensure efficient and effective use of the Programme Cycle Management system, working in conjunction with other teams in CAFOD, to provide support when necessary (e.g. when access is disrupted),
- Be the first point of contact and/or provide essential administrative support to the regional teams.
- Organise and co-ordinate induction for new staff directly managed by the Head of Region
- Provide administrative support to other members of the team where required, including helping to organise programmes for overseas staff/partner visits, travel and accommodation needs, routine correspondence, and occasional cover for colleagues when absent,
- Coordinate the work of the region’s London-based volunteers and liaise with relevant staff on all volunteer-based issues.
Representation:
- Attend and represent the region in CAFOD networks, working groups and similar fora on behalf of the Head of Region, or other members of the team as required,

Focal Point Responsibilities
The Regional Support Officer is the AME regional focal point on Safe, Accountable, Dignified and Inclusive programming (SADI). This role is currently held by the other job-share, but this post-holder will deputise from time to time.
Your role is responsible for ensuring that the programming work you are accountable for is safe, accessible, dignified and inclusive, providing ongoing support and follow-up to our partners in this area.

Essential Criteria
- An understanding of CAFODs faith-based partnership approach to development reflected in the Our Common Home strategic framework.
- Knowledge and some experience in budget planning and monitoring
- Knowledge and experience of Programme Management Cycle and PDMEAL
- Proficient in data management and usage, including the use of complex databases and programme cycle management systems and tools.
- Experience in managing robust systems and processes for information sharing, communication, and coordination.
- Excellent organisational skills and an ability to manage international conference calls/meetings & minute-taking.
- Understanding of effective and values-based partnership work between northern and southern organisations and communities
Job specific Criteria
- As part of CAFOD’s commitment to combating the climate crisis, CAFOD aims to minimise travel. There may be a requirement to travel up to 4 to 6 weeks per year.

People & Culture Generalist
The People & Culture Generalist – Internews Europe will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative tasks of the People & Culture (P&C) department. The role will support the People & Culture Manager – Internews Europe in ensuring efficient and best practice processes and procedures within the organisation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, with other duties upon request:
The P&C Generalist - Internews Europe holds primary responsibility for supporting all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment and selection, onboarding, inductions, staff progression and compliance.
· Partnering with other members of the global People & Culture team to support hiring and recruitment processes.
· Overseeing onboarding processes for UK staff members.
· Acts as the initial point of contact for all IEU staff inquiries with regards to People & Culture policies, procedures, staff benefit, leave balances, and general enquiries.
· Working with other members of the PC team, supports annual processes, such as the appraisal and goal setting processes, insurance renewals, ethics program, etc.
· Managing the shared IEU-HR inbox and resolving / following up on staff inquiries and needs.
· Providing staff and manager coaching on employee relations issues as requested.
· Working together with global P&C staff, managing the information that is published to the internal website (intranet) for IEU, making updates and organizational changes as needed.
· Responsible for start-to-end new starter probationary review process, including scheduling meeting, distributing relevant documentation and collecting completed forms and feedback.
· Supporting development and periodic review of P&C policies where required.
· Responsible for timely compliance check and review including clearances, Right to Work, visas, and GDPR.
· Working with P&C manager to ensure timely update of the payroll spreadsheet, including new joiners, leavers, and all variable changes and ensures all associated processes have been carried out in line with the supplier agreement and in good time.
· Managing all employee leave processes, including annual leave, sickness absence, maternity, paternity, adoption, compassionate leave, etc.
· Leading and coordinating P&C responses on behalf of IEU to third party audit requests from donors.
· Supporting process and workflow development and data management within the Human Resources’ Information System as needed.
· Supports employee resource groups and material development, and leads staff working groups and task forces in support of Internews' Belonging, Dignity, and Justice work.
· Communicating all changes related to employee lifecycle to external payroll provider and finance staff as needed.
· Acts as primary liaison with payroll and finance team on any matters related to staff pay and payroll-related changes.
· Supporting, developing, and conducting staff trainings on People & Culture topics, policies, and processes
· Working closely with other members of the global People & Culture team to ensure the completion of standardized, efficient, streamlined People & Culture processes that supports a cohesive staff experience.
· Recommending new approaches, processes and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the PC department and services performed.
· Staying abreast of all UK legal and compliance issues.
· Other P&C generalist duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
