The St Mungo’s Pan London Rough Sleeping Teams (No Second Night Out and Somewhere Safe to Stay) provide a rapid response service, intervening to ensure no one needs to sleep rough, our work is ongoing and we are currently looking for inspirational people to join our Pan London Assessment Triages, Staging Post Accommodation and Support Hotels across London.
In the role of a Hub Assistant Worker is to jointly manage the safe day to day running of the project with other members of the team and to provide basic support and advice to clients. You will also be the first point of contact for clients and visitors and coordinating the Health and Safety within the service.
In this vital role, it is essential that you are flexible to work on the weekly rota to ensure services are accessible to those who are homeless, at the time they most need our support. Hours for this role will be Monday - Friday (7.5 hours per day) with exact shift times to be agreed.

We are now recruiting for the exciting new role of Family Support Coordinator. This role will organise and deliver Croydon Refugee Day Centre (CRDC)’s new Family Support Programme, including being responsible for 1-1 casework with families to support children into education, and overseeing our Family Support Volunteers.
You will work at CRDC’s centre as well as running weekly to fortnightly drop-ins at four asylum hotel sites across Croydon, working in partnership with other organisations, the accommodation provider, and CRDC staff and volunteers to identify and reach out to families new to the accommodation and families that might need extra support.

1.Offer practical, hardship support to families with children.
2.Build links with, refer and signpost families to other organisations that offer opportunities and support for children and young people.

4.Support families transitioning out of the asylum system or area to find new support networks.
5.Work with the Operational Coordinator to run activities for children not yet attending school at our Wednesday Welcome sessions, and to run one-off outings and activities in school holidays.

7.Supervise and guide Family Support Volunteers within the team.

The Croydon Refugee Day Centre (CRDC) is a small but specialist, primarily volunteer-led organisation, with 25 years’ experience of supporting asylum seekers and refugees across Croydon and beyond. Our vision is that all asylum seekers and refugees across Croydon are able to integrate into and thrive in the UK. To this end, we support them both with their basic, practical needs and their mental health and well-being – as well as to develop the support networks, skills and experience they need to flourish.

Up to three months resettlement support is offered to women and children leaving refuges across London.

Women in this Project will also receive resettlement support and may remain within the Borough of Enfield or be moved out of borough as part of planned move on.
About the Role
The resettlement Floating Support Worker will provide resettlement support to residents moving out of the Amari Project and from Pan London refuges. You will provide fortnightly case work to residents in their move on accommodation.
You will provide holistic support including tenancy sustainment support and advocacy support to establish and maintain partnership working. You will be responsible for providing data and any statistical information for monitoring returns and in collating
About You
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience of supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse, trafficking and sexual exploitation. You will be required to have an awareness of the impacts of trauma on survivors of domestic abuse
You will have experience of managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of the client group, and the ability to work with women to help them to understand their needs, risk assess, develop safety plans and support them in linking with other agencies.
You will have a working knowledge of the available legal remedies, housing, and welfare benefits, as well as experience of providing training.
Outside of this, you will have excellent administrative and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload.

As a Sessional Play Worker you will be involved in the planning and delivery of a variety of sessions and activities for children and young people at the refuge. This includes listening to children’s ideas to design services around their needs, choices, and aspirations. You will support and involve children in activities which are playful, stimulating, and enjoyable, while promoting their wellbeing and encouraging them to take an active role during the play sessions.

Aims of the Position
To provide specialist and culturally competent support in mother tongue and to address the immediate and long-term needs of Kurdish, Middle Eastern and North African (KMENA) women who might be at risk or survivors of Domestic Abuse, Forced Marriage, Female Genital Mutilation and the so-called Honour-Based Abuse (Harmful Practices). To meet women’s needs through provisions of information, advice, and advocacy case work, as well as signposting and referrals to appropriate services.
Main Duties
➢ To receive initial referrals, identify and assess the needs of service usersin accordance with KMEWO’s Policies & Procedures for efficient and timely responses to their issues.
➢ To offer information, advice, and intersectional advocacy to KMENA women and girls who are affected by domestic Abuse and Harmful Practices.

Thames Reach’s Outreach teams operate across London and help those who are rough sleeping to find routes away from the street. The teams respond to referrals and work flexibly to reach London’s most vulnerable. Individuals are assessed to identify their support needs and support plans are created, including work to obtain identification, access health services and refer to other specialist agencies, including those with immigration issues.
We are looking for a Lead Worker to join the Hillingdon Street Outreach Team.
You will:
- Lead outreach shifts, providing a rapid response to referrals for people who are rough sleeping in the borough.
- Take a lead role within the team, working closely with support workers and assistant support workers to identify the quickest and most appropriate route off the street for people found rough sleeping, and devise plans to achieve this.
- Provide direct support to people who are found rough sleeping to enable them to move away from the streets and into accommodation.
- Work alongside partner agencies to ensure that clients are accessing appropriate support to access and sustain accommodation.
- Represent the team at multi-agency meetings.
- Accurately record all work completed within given timeframes.
To succeed as the Lead Worker, you will have:

Prospectus is pleased to be working with a small and locally focused homelessness charity, supporting individuals and households that are facing housing issues across Enfield and Haringey. Delivering services to rough sleepers and those at risk of rough sleeping, their mission is to break cycles of poverty and disadvantage and tackle the issue of homelessness. They are now seeking a Lead Support Worker to join their team on FTC basis, initially until October 2024.
In 2021, the charity opened a day centre, set up to meet the needs of those rough sleeping and on the cusp of homelessness in the borough, to provide daytime respite and independent housing related support. Since then, they have continued to deliver a night shelter provision to rough sleeping clients which is open and accessible 24 hours a day.
In this role, you will lead their single occupancy night shelter provision as well as support the Day centre. The role will involve processing referrals into the project, undertaking initial assessments, conducting in-depth housing-related casework, and working effectively internally and with external partners to ensure clients are able to access the variety of support they need. You will also support service users from the Day Centre, supporting them with accessing services, attending appointments and general housing and homelessness related support.
Due to the nature of the role, you will have experience in building relationships and supporting vulnerable, disadvantaged, or excluded client groups, as well as dealing with challenging behaviours within a similar setting to the homelessness sector, as well as experience of managing and developing projects. It is desirable you have knowledge of issues facing people with ‘no recourse to public funds’, Housing Legislation, and other relevant legislation for vulnerable adults and of various statutory and voluntary agencies and projects offering advice services, accommodation, outreach and primary needs provision.
The working pattern for this position is 37.5 hours per week, Monday -Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm. You will spend Monday and Tuesday at the accommodation Hub and the remaining days at the Day Centre/outreach. An Enhanced DBS for Adults is essential, and please only apply if you are available to start immediately or with no more than a 1/2 week notice period.
