Job description

The Finance team at Plan International UK is recruiting for an enthusiastic apprentice who is keen to get started in their career in Finance. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a role that will give you experience of a wide variety of tasks in different areas of finance.

Plan International UK is a global children’s charity. We work to give every child the same chance in life.

This apprenticeship is suitable for those who wish to commence studies of AAT Level 3 and have successfully completed AAT Level 2 or awaiting results (conditional on successfully passing AAT Level 2). Plan International UK will be in partnership with BPP who are one of the UK’s largest providers of professional apprenticeship training.  Programmes will combine an exciting blend of virtual and face-to-face learning and coaching. It will also include self-study and project work, with learners receiving their own study plan or timetable.

This is a very varied and busy role, which will provide crucial support to Finance team colleagues. We are therefore looking for someone who can show us through their experience, either in the course of studies or work experience, that they are well-organised and can work to deadlines. You will also need the ability to work independently and to work collaboratively and flexibly with your team members.

You will spend 20% of your working time developing the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours linked to your programme.

The deadline for applications is 9:00am on 6 January 2019

Interviews will take place on 14 and/or 15 January 2019

Due to the nature of our work with children, we follow rigorous child safeguarding policies and procedures in our recruitment process. As a result, some of our roles are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from joining us as an employee or volunteer; this will depend on the circumstances of any offence
