Spark the REMIX Revolution: Brand, Marketing & Communications Manager (Volunteer)

Are you a visionary marketing and communications expert passionate about telling compelling stories and empowering young people? Do you want to build excitement around a brand-new start-up social mobility charity and inspire thousands across London to get involved?

REMIX is a dynamic new charity on a mission to "remix young lives" from disadvantaged backgrounds across London. We aim to guide, mentor, and inspire young people through positive role modelling, comprehensive personal development, and vital employability skills. We're in our crucial set-up phase, and we need your creative leadership to bring our mission to life through powerful communication.

This is an incredible opportunity to apply your strategic and creative expertise to a meaningful social cause, helping us expand our reach, recruit young people onto our programmes, inspire people to volunteer with us, and excite supporters to donate.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

We need an innovative, strategic, and proactive individual with proven experience in brand, marketing, and communications. You'll likely possess:

  • Marketing & Communications Expertise: A strong background in developing and executing marketing strategies, brand building, and public relations, ideally in the charity or youth sector.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to conceive and implement creative campaigns and long-term communication plans that resonate with diverse audiences.

  • Content Creation Acumen: Experience in developing a range of compelling content, including written (copywriting for web/social), visual (directing photos/videos, graphic design), and digital assets.

  • Digital Fluency: Strong understanding of social media platforms, website management, email marketing, and other digital tools for outreach and engagement.

  • Storytelling Prowess: Ability to craft powerful narratives that communicate impact, inspire action, and build strong connections with young people, volunteers, and funders.

  • Organisational & Project Management: Capable of managing multiple projects, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring brand consistency.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: A very high level of proficiency in spoken, written, and reading English, crucial for crafting impactful messages and engaging with stakeholders.

  • Passion for Social Change: A genuine commitment to REMIX's mission and empowering young people out of poverty.

YOUR ROLE AS OUR BRAND, MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER:

In this vital set-up phase, you will be instrumental in:

  • Developing Brand Strategy: Working with the team to refine REMIX's brand identity, voice, tone, and visual guidelines, ensuring a unique and compelling presence.

  • Creating Excitement & Awareness: Devising and implementing launch strategies and ongoing activities to generate enthusiasm for REMIX across London.

  • Building a Resource Bank: Overseeing or directly creating a library of high-quality visual content, including photos, videos, and graphic templates, that align with our brand identity.

  • Driving Recruitment Campaigns: Designing and executing targeted marketing campaigns to attract young people to our personal development, employability, and mentoring programmes.

  • Inspiring Volunteer Engagement: Developing compelling campaigns to recruit and motivate passionate volunteers, showcasing the profound impact they can make.

  • Exciting Fundraising Initiatives: Crafting persuasive communications and materials that inspire individuals, trusts, and businesses to donate to and support REMIX.

  • Managing Digital Presence: Advising on and contributing to our website content, social media channels, and other online platforms to expand our reach.

  • Publicity & PR: Identifying opportunities for media coverage and developing press materials to promote REMIX's mission and achievements.
