What the job involves
The Policy and Health Influencing teams are responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.
As the Policy and Health Influencing Coordinator, you're key to supporting these teams. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work and sometimes arranging important stakeholder events and meetings ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capturing the outcomes of our external engagement.
In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.

We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator and know how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. To support the 5 year Business Strategy, ShelterBox has launched a full Business Systems Transformation (BST) project which will deliver end to end functionality covering CRM, ERP, Supply Chain, Project Management and HR/Payroll. Therefore projects will include coordinating the departments input and work on the BST project as well as; optimisation of internal comms and information flow across the department; supporting project management administration (agendas; meeting notes; activity and decision logs; updated plans and timelines etc) for large cross-department projects and meetings; coordination of larger team meeting and away days; oversight of reporting systems across the team.

About the role
Sightsavers is a member of the Data and Research in Education (DARE) Pakistan research consortium, and is leading several research studies in this capacity. These studies are in the area of disability inclusive education and climate resilience in education. Our research predominantly revolves around qualitative methodologies, supplemented by a variety of other techniquesThe studies are primarily qualitative, but make some use of other methods. We are looking for an experienced Research Coordinator, to play a vital role in coordinating and implementing these research studies and to support other education focused work by Country Office team.
- Coordinate Research Activities: Effectively communicate and engage with DARE research consortium leadership, federal and provincial stakeholders, including Ministries of Education and Organizations of Persons with Disabilities, as well as local stakeholders like headteachers.
- Develop Fieldwork Strategies: Create comprehensive fieldwork procedures and plans, along with training materials for fieldworkers.
- Implement Data Collection: Design and execute data collection strategies, manage logistics, conduct interviews and focus group discussions, supervise fieldworkers, and ensure high-quality data management.

We are seeking a Project Coordinator to develop and deliver our project Men in Mind: Mental Health, Skills, Training and Support in East Sussex. The project provides a range of training and skills activities to engage and equip men in East Sussex to have supportive conversations about mental health and wellbeing with their peers.
The Men in Mind project has been running since January 2023 and has engaged and delivered mental health awareness training to public-facing businesses and spaces where men work and visit, predominatly in Eastbourne and Hailsham. Businesses engaged so far include barber shops, construction, manufactoring and sports venues. We are seeking an additional Project Coordinator to extend the project’s engagement with businesses to other areas in East Sussex and to businesses that have not yet engaged with the Men in Mind project.
The role will be varied and busy requiring excellent organisation, communication, and presentation skills and the ability to work flexibly. We are looking for someone with good understanding of the main issues surrounding men’s mental health, who can design and deliver training activities and resources responding to identified skills and training needs.
