I am currently seeking an Interim HR Officer for a 12 month contract with a Charity based in North London. The role will pay a salary between £30,000 and £33,000 per year depending upon experience and will require travel into their offices and services 2 to 3 days per week in North London and Berkshire (a couple of times per month). You should be available within a month's notice as this role is urgent.
Reporting to the Senior Employee Relations Adviser, you will have experience of basic / first stage Employee Relations casework and advice e.g. sickness, flexible working requests, as well as having used HR Databases / system for Hr Administration (preferably iTrent, but experience of any system will be beneficial).

Your role will include: -
- Supporting the HR Advisers and Senior HR Advisers in the provision of a day-to-day Human Resources service to all managers.
- Supporting HR Advisers and Senior HR Advisers on the management of casework, to include flexible working meetings, absence management meetings, probations and first line disciplinary cases.
- Supporting and advising line managers and colleagues in all areas of employment and policies.
- Providing administrative support to the HR Advisors and Senior HR Advisers, e.g. arranging hearings, taking notes, supporting the production of letters and disciplinary packs
- Working with the HR Coordinator, manage all administration duties relating to employee relations in the areas of absence management, internal amendments, maternity and all matters relating to employee terms and conditions i.e., amendments to terms, casual to permanent contacts.

About the role
Reporting to the Director, Finance and Operations, the role of Senior Officer, Finance and Operations plays an important role in supporting the seamless functioning of both the HSI/UK and HSI/EU teams while also working closely with Finance, HR & IT colleagues in the US. Areas of focus include accounts payable and receivable, budgeting and monthly reporting, as well as providing wide-ranging operational support across a number of different areas including legal/contracts, HR and IT.
Key responsibilities
Financial Administration (30%)
- Accounts Payable: Create POs according to the A/P policy, ensure all invoices are correctly logged & submitted for payment, ensure timely payment of all invoices, review weekly report of unposted invoices and outstanding payments and take action as needed.
- Accounts Receivable: Ensure all donations are properly coded & documented.
- Expenses Reporting: Ensure timely submission of employee expenses and debit and credit card transactions.
- Review financial transactions monthly to ensure income and expenditure are recorded correctly in the general ledger.
- Provide monthly reporting to all budget holders in the UK and EU.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as needed.
Contracts Management (30%)
- Working with the UK and EU teams, oversee the creation, submission and signing of all supplier contracts.
- Work with the Office of General Counsel in the US to ensure each contract is compliant with organisational policies and procedures.
- Maintain a log showing stage of each document in the process.
Operational Support (40%)
- Be the first point of contact for operational queries to campaigns and fundraising teams in UK and EU
- Ensure timesheets are completed as part of the monthly payroll process.
- Manage the process of recruiting and onboarding new employees and offboarding leavers. Support provision of IT and equipment for UK and EU teams as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as needed.

The Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) is looking for an enquiry officer with call handing experience to join the frontline service team. Each month we receive hundreds of requests and queries from applicants who require the help and support offered by the MCF.
You will have excellent customer service, communication, IT and organisational skills along with an ability to quickly build a rapport with callers and instil confidence.
We are looking for a team player, who is able to support colleagues and prioritise the needs of the team. A high level of personal resilience is also required due to the quantity and the nature of the enquiries we receive.
Previous experience in a comparable role is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided. If you have a willingness to learn and can demonstrate appropriate transferable skills
Day to day responsibilities include answering calls and responding to requests for a range of support, allocating cases to our Advice and Support Advisers and Visiting Volunteers, awarding small grants for counselling and medical consultations and keeping detailed records of calls and communications on our internal data base.
