Yoga Stops Traffick is an international campaign to raise awareness of and funds for survivors of human trafficking in India. We are seeking 2 volunteers to help us improve and evolve this campaign.

What will you be doing?

Yoga Stops Traffick is an international campaign run by UK registered charity Adventure Ashram to raise awareness of and funds for survivors of human trafficking in India. Every year thousands of yoga practitioners from all corners of the globe roll out their mats, from the UK to Iceland to Costa Rica, to stand in solidarity with young survivors. The funds raised from Yoga Stops Traffick help rescue and rehabilitate survivors of human trafficking, sexual and domestic violence, modern-day slavery, and child marriage.

We are seeking  2 volunteers to improve the Yoga Stops Traffick campaign. We've been running this campaign for many years now but sadly despite the campaign's great potential, it has been less and less successful each year. We need some creative marketing and social media experts to help lift this campaign back to its full potential.

Main responsibilities of the role:

• Bring your creative social media and marketing ideas to the team to help us think of new ways to increase awareness of Yoga Stops Traffick to yoga studios and teachers in the UK and worldwide, and help us develop plans to turn these ideas into well-executed action.

• Use your corporate partnerships experience to advise us on the best ways to develop new corporate partnerships - help us identify the best potential partners for the campaign and develop plans for approaching them and developing those relationships.

• Help us plan our social media activity to increase our reach, improve our engagement levels and ultimately drive the success of this campaign.

• If you are experienced using Wordpress and skilled at improving SEO that would be an added bonus - our website has terrible SEO and ranks badly and we no longer have the skills in-house to know the best way to improve our website. About the Charity: Path To Prosper is a UK registered charity that provides professional training to vulnerable young adults in Uganda, enabling them to escape extreme poverty through gaining employable skills. 

Role Overview: The Finance Lead will play a key role in overseeing our financial management, ensuring the charity remains financially sustainable and compliant with all relevant regulations.

You will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the charity, working closely with the CEO to provide strategic financial advice and support to the Board. Your role will be to conduct a scripted evaluation with them, helping us to understand the impact and improve the delivery of our services to blind and partially sighted people.

We are looking for a volunteer who can carry out this role between 9 and 5 weekdays. You can choose whether to break the four hours up over a couple of days during the week or to volunteer on one day.

Role Summary.

We are seeking a dedicated Technical Support Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for our application users, including students, instructors, and administrators. This role involves resolving technical issues, supporting user onboarding, and developing helpful resources and documentation. You will collaborate with our digital and product teams to ensure a seamless and stable user experience.

Key tasks

• Serve as the primary point of contact for application users, addressing technical issues and inquiries across various channels including email, chat, and support ticketing systems.

• Diagnose and resolve user interface (UI) issues specifically related to the student application.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of frequently asked questions and common technical issues to enhance self-service options and improve overall support efficiency.

• Effectively escalate complex or unresolved technical problems to the digital team.

• Provide support for new users onboarding onto instructor and administrator portals, including user training sessions and the creation of helpful support materials like how-to guides and instructional videos.

• Collaborate closely with the product development team to thoroughly test new features and updates prior to their public release, ensuring stability and user-friendliness.

What we’re looking for

• Demonstrated commitment to Roots Academy’s mission and eagerness to contribute.

• Proven experience in a technical support, help desk, or similar client-facing role, preferably within a software or education technology environment.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving technical issues, particularly related to user interfaces.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and empathetically to non-technical users.

• Familiarity with support ticketing systems and knowledge base management.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• A proactive attitude towards identifying areas for improvement in support processes and user experience.

• Experience in creating user-friendly documentation, training materials, or video tutorials is desirable.
