The Richmond & Hounslow Methodist Circuit is looking for a reliable and committed individual to support the life and work of our group of churches in SW London. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper organisation and management of our finances to enable our mission.
Key responsibilities:
- overseeing the Circuit’s day to day financial management
- supervising payroll and staff expenses
- financial reporting
- working with our accountants to produce annual accounts
- helping the Circuit to plan for the future
- advising on all financial matters

This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. It is specifically expected that the role will allow for flexible scheduling to accommodate other responsibilities, including caring.
The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. To fulfil this mission, the Circuit fosters a broad spectrum of ministry within its congregations, focusing on worship but also engaging in outreach to the homeless, asylum seekers, new parents, and various other groups. Role Requirements
As part of the site services team the role holder will be expected to liaise with managers and staff across the Trust. The role holder is expected to work closely with the other members of the facilities team and assist in covering in the laundry, in the deep clean team or other works as and when required.
You will be a natural and enthusiastic housekeeper working not only as part of a team but also individually. You will be health and safety aware, take ownership of your own work, and be understanding of the children’s needs here at The Children’s Trust. Good organisational skills, flexibility and being friendly and caring in nature are a must for this role. Please note that the role requires a significant degree of manual handling and working with houses services and laundry equipment.
With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Salary: £40,845 per annum rising to £42,996 after 12 months in London. £36,817 per annum rising to £38,968 after 12 months outside of London.
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Job share or substantial part-time applications welcome.

Our business is growing, and we’re looking for a passionate and innovative team player to help us provide expert strategy support to clients across England. You’ll need to be a confident facilitator attuned to the needs of the sector, identifying emerging themes and areas of support.
The role focuses on the delivery of consultancy and training. It is responsible for meeting income targets, managing project budgets, and coordinating projects. This is done with oversight and support from senior and lead consultants.

- develop bids and work with clients independently – gaining input and agreement from other consultants on viability and the decision to bid
- pitch for work
- manage and coordinate projects from end to end, with support from senior and lead consultants
- communicate and influence effectively
- coordinate the work of existing associates and agree fees within an established framework.
You don’t need to have experience working as a consultant before. But we need you to be curious, analytical and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
