About the role
You will be expected to lead and deliver a proportion of day opportunity activities as part of the planned programme and as an opportunity to provide practice leadership to the wider team. This role also includes building effective working relationships with local authorities, be great at developing new partnerships and liaising on behalf of Hft as appropriate ensuring the reputation of the organisation is maintained. The postholder will collaborate closely with families and carers to ensure supported individuals have access to meaningful activities, and are able to develop social and life skills that will enable them to make choices and take control of their lives. The postholder will be accountable for the wellbeing of supported individuals, giving adequate support to maximise their dignity, independence, and privacy.
About you
As a minimum you will be required to have a Level 4 Lead Practitioner Diploma in Adult Care or hold a Level 3 diploma and be willing to undertake this apprenticeship qualification within an agreed reasonable timescale as part of a development plan (at no cost to you)
- Experience and knowledge of outcome focussed of day service delivery provision
- Recent experience in a front-line team leader role within the field of learning disabilities in either regulated services or day service provision.
- Ability to think operationally
- Ability to lead and manage people and be a role model in all aspects of people leadership especially performance
- Ability to communicate effectively with a supported person and their family/carer and other professionals.
- Ability to be innovative whilst complying with the law and Hft policies and procedures
- Manage time and resources effectively and efficiently
- Ability to respond professionally, quickly, and flexibly in a crisis
- Ability to lead and manage change
- Ability to make sound decisions
- Able to understand and support the production of financial data

The Child Brain Injury Trust was originally set up by a group of medical professionals. Working in consultation and collaboration with families and professionals, the charity aims to ensure families can access the support they need, when they need it and to ensure they have the best possible chance of reaching their potential.
Are you a passionate, highly motivated, and organised individual? Do you have brilliant application and report writing skills and are able to build effective relationships with donors? If you are, we are seeking a Trusts & Foundations Officer to be an integral part of the Trusts and Foundations team where you will be responsible for submitting applications to Trusts & Foundations for our services in the UK.
You will be working to deliver our ambitious targets for trust and foundations income for 2024/25 and beyond. The post-holder will help to research and explore new avenues for funding and build a strong pipeline of new donors who have the potential to support the charity. You will be building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders at trusts and foundations and preparing and delivering targeted funding applications to those organisations. You will be able to build upon and develop a compelling case for support for both the services we offer as a whole and for specific projects that reflect our work and values.
Ideally you will be looking to develop your skills with the aim of moving into a management role within the department within the next 2 – 3 years, so this role is to be viewed as a development opportunity.

Housing Justice is a Christian charity working to alleviate homelessness in all its forms. We are a friendly and flexible organisation looking for a compassionate leader for our team in Wales. As a bi-national charity we work in partnership with the housing and homelessness sector, refugee and asylum sector, churches, community groups, UK Government, Welsh Government and local government to help provide those experiencing homelessness with a safe and stable home.
Our work is channelled through a range of initiatives that aim to tackle homelessness in various ways at a grassroots level: Faith in Affordable Housing, Hosting people seeking sanctuary, Citadel, Support for people from Ukraine, and The Winter Night Shelter Network in England. Housing Justice Cymru is at the centre of the Housing sector in Wales and since 2021 we have played a pivotal role in the refugee and asylum sector, leading partnerships in support of the Wales Nation of Sanctuary commitment.
In addition, we seek to influence and bring about change for the benefit of those we serve through partnership, lobbying and networking.

About the role
The role of the Director for Wales is to lead the team and the development of the work of Housing Justice throughout Wales. The Director is responsible for ensuring resilient funding for the delivery of existing projects and to develop projects in line with the strategic plan, growing the Charity’s reach to meet homelessness and housing need. They will be a key member of the Senior Management team nationally, developing and spearheading the broader strategic work of Housing Justice.
About you
We are looking for a self-motivated, committed person ideally with experience of working in the homelessness, housing or charity sectors. We would like someone with excellent leadership skills, who understand the importance of wellbeing and involvement.
The skills needed for the role include effective partnership working, business planning, project management and service delivery across multiple functions, as well as financial management skills including budgeting and delivery of cost and income targets.
Finally, we are looking for someone who is committed to making a difference and passionate about supporting people to thrive across Wales in a safe home and community.
