Responsibilities and Person Specification:
This role will form an integral part of our three person Policy and Public Affairs team based in Scotland, working as part of a UK-wide Policy and Influencing team. The role will drive forward our policy projects to reduce poverty in later life, conducting expert research and policy analysis and turning this into persuasive evidence to catch the attention of decision makers and persuaders. The postholder will create opportunities to amplify the voices of older people in poverty and work to secure support for our policy recommendations in Holyrood.
You will have strong research skills with experience of turning quantitative and qualitative data into high quality, persuasive policy outputs. You will have experience developing credible, evidence-based policy solutions, informed by the perspectives and insights of people with lived experience.
You will be a skilled verbal and written communicator with the ability to engage different audiences. You will build strategic relationships with a variety of stakeholders to advance the solutions needed to address poverty in later life, using your knowledge of the political landscape in Scotland and passion for our cause.

‘Celebrating Supportability at 70’ is a Heritage Fund funded, fixed term project that investigates, describes and explains the heritage of Supportability to the people we support and the wider community.
Do you have what we are looking for?
The role will include working with volunteers, people we support and their families and the wider community in order to examine, preserve and interpret significant documents that relate to the charity’s 70-year history. It will also include researching further into other local archives and recording memories and experiences of both past and present stake holders. This will then be pulled together into an exhibition detailing the full history of Supportability, which will take place at a local library. Learning and historical materials from the project will also inform a digital timeline (web design/development will be externally commissioned) hosted on our website.
To ensure the project is accessible to the people we support the role will also involve organising (alongside our service managers) inclusive heritage themed events.
We aim to give people in the local community and beyond a greater knowledge of the history of disability support in Stockport and the part Supportability has played in that journey. Ultimately the project will be evaluated to ensure the outcomes and terms of the Heritage Lottery grant are met.

As Project Support Officer you will support the Northern Area Manager and Regional Manager with volunteer recruitment, documentation of training (such as DBS, references, Food Safety Level 2, First Aid), giving our volunteers a fantastic experience, guest outreach and giving extra support to our Yorkshire & The Humber projects to aid development and growth within the region.

The Assessing Social Worker will be responsible for ensuring the success of TACT's projects and change initiatives. About LifeSkills
The LifeSkills programme will offer groups of families the chance to come together to a trusted venue such as a children’s centre or community setting. As well as offering opportunities for families to spend quality time together and have access to healthy food, these sessions will offer LifeSkills workshops for parents and carers to build their confidence, social networks, financial and employability skills. Examples include but are not limited to overcoming setbacks, managing debt, boosting confidence to return to work, CV writing, interview skills. Based in central Manchester reporting to the Housing, Homelessness & Advocacy Lead, the successful candidate will work specifically with male, trans and non-binary sex workers. The candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide casework support for people with a range of multiple and complex needs including homelessness, sexual health, mental health and substance use, and to support delivery of our creative provision including weekly creative sessions and creative projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to specialise and take a leading role developing an element of Support and Advocacy, such as outreach, sexual health or mental health.

We are looking for a Live Well Little Hulton Development Worker who will play a central role in the development of a community-led network of trusted voices that will enable local people to access activities, services, and information in support of their emotional and physical wellbeing.
Initially, Live Well Little Hulton will use innovative and creative methods to engage with the community to establish baseline information and insights to inform the development of the network. Overall Duties of the role will include:
- Being an accessible point of contact for the children living with our carers and to our young people, keeping them up to date with the facilities and opportunities available with TACT
- Providing support to children with emotional welfare and mental health needs
- Supporting interventions and activities to ensure stable placement arrangements
- Being able to transport children and young people to events, appointments and meetings (mileage reimbursed)

Duties and responsibilities:
The purpose of the Programme Officer role is to support the successful delivery of the In2STEM Programme. You will be responsible for recruitment, managing a caseload of students and volunteers (work experience hosts), and managing relationships with supporters and funders. You will also support the planning, delivery and evaluation of programme activities including training and inductions, placements, online workshops, competitions and celebration events.
Your specific duties will include:
Programme Delivery
- Managing a caseload of students and volunteers (work experience hosts) from application stage to successful completion of the programme, including recruitment, matching, onboarding, troubleshooting throughout the programme and evaluation.
- Creating and developing engaging communication materials about the programme including video presentations, posters/flyers, case studies and website text and images.
- Monitoring student and volunteer (work experience host) applications to ensure targets and milestones are met.
