Responsibilities of our Regional Fundraising Manager:

WAY is the only national charity in the UK for men and women aged 50 or under when their partner died. Founded in 1997, WAY now has more than 4,500 members throughout the UK.
We are seeking a vibrant, creative and inclusive professional who will devise and implement WAY’s Digital Marketing activities, in line with our new 5-year Strategy Plan. You will manage our social media platforms, the ongoing development of the WAY’s website and lead WAY’s digital fundraising and campaigning projects.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing
- Developing, maintaining, updating and executing the WAY Marketing Plan in line with WAY’s overall 5-year strategic plan.
- Ensuring the Marketing strategies address WAY’s key audiences; in particular existing members and the external reach to potential members, to help grow WAY’s membership and other key partners.
- Oversee the co-ordination, development maintenance and scheduling of relevant content on the WAY social channels (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Tick Tock etc)
- Ensure the charity branding is correctly used in all cases
- Manage and develop the Charity Google Grants account and associated advertising programmes.
- Interact and collaborate with team members and volunteers to align digital media with other marketing, communications, campaigns and fundraising activities.
- Analyse and report from Google Analytics and other relevant tools to optimise campaigns.
Website and CRM
- Oversee the day-to-day running of WAY’s website (Public and Member Areas), working closely with the Web Developer company.
- Co-ordinating the development, maintenance and scheduling of relevant content on the WAY website, working with the wider WAY team.
- Responsible for improving the usability, design, user journey and conversion of website, in conjunction with WAY’s web development agency.
- Overseeing the ongoing development of WAY’s website and CRM system by ensuring the Website Working Group (WWG) objectives and tasks are achieved and executed.
- Reviewing Google Analytics web stats to learn what is working and what needs adjusting on and ongoing basis.
Additional
- Support the work of the WAY by contributing proactively to team meetings, strategic discussions and taking on additional projects where possible and appropriate.
- Provide marketing and digital expertise on cross organisational projects as required.
- Prepare reports for the Chief Executive and Trustees when necessary.
- Empathy and compassion to young widows and understanding of the bereavement process / lived experience of bereavement
General Information
Due to the dynamic nature of the sector we work in, job descriptions are subject to review. At an exciting time in its development, Marie Curie is looking for a talented Digital Marketing Manager to drive and lead the paid digital marketing strategy for the organisation.
The role will be responsible for developing, implementing and optimising digital marketing plans across paid channels. They will work with external agencies and internal colleagues to ensure that we drive the optimum mix and derive greatest benefit from PPC, social media advertising, display advertising, retargeting and partnerships, whilst also testing new opportunities that arise with these channels.
You will build relationships and work closely with key stakeholders across our Fundraising, Policy & Research and Caring Services. What we are looking for:
- Demonstrable experience of planning and delivering successful digital marketing growth plans and integrated campaigns
- A confident leader with experience of briefing and managing internal and external creative teams, including our media buying agency, and managing media budgets
- Experience of building, executing and optimising both brand and acquisition activity, along with lead generation and identifying/exploiting partnership opportunities.
- A confident communicator with strong influencing skills. You will be a strategic thinker, with excellent commercial acumen and digital knowledge.

As an experienced researcher, you will bring:
- A proven track record in managing, carrying out and commissioning research projects

Our Commissioned Services in England work with local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group and healthcare professionals to offer services for patients with osteoarthritis of the knee and/or hip. We have been running our Commissioned Services in England since 2014. Through delivering one-to-one and group information and peer support sessions we have supported over 6,500 people.
About the role
As part of this team, you will co-ordinate and deliver all aspects of our Living Well with Arthritis England Commissioned services in the Northumberland CCG area.
The service informs people about their condition, how they can self-manage, and the treatment options and support available to them. Our aim is for people with osteoarthritis to have the confidence, knowledge and skills to live how they wish to live.
You will help shape and deliver support for people living with arthritis whilst working alongside our group networks and peer support volunteers to maintain and grow our Commissioned services.
Whilst the post is home-based, there is an expectation that some travel will be required to attend meetings and embed the service. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for effective service delivery.
