Rainbow Migration is the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system and has been campaigning for their rights since 1993. We are recruiting for a Legal and Support Services Assistant to act as a first point of contact for the charity and assist the legal and support services teams.

The Legal and Support Services Assistant will help ensure smooth delivery of our services. You will be the first point of contact for new queries and play a key role in providing the information needed and passing enquiries to the relevant service.

This role will receive full training and support as required to deliver your responsibilities, which include the following:

• Provide admin support for the legal and support services teams
• Answer calls and emails
• Prioritise enquires from service users or signpost them to other organisations
• Organise legal advice sessions for asylum and partnership service users
• Input data onto our Salesforce database
• Write minutes for legal and support service team meetings
• Assist with organising and running events (e.g. Pride, service user Christmas party)

Role overview

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week Monday to Friday). Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £25,244 FTE with potential annual step increases up to £28,412, plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, the trustees consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are based between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference. This is an exciting opportunity to lead on the delivery of the South West London (SWL) Child Sexual Abuse Early Emotional Support Service for the CYP service. Working closely with the NHS and Schools you will manage a small specialist counselling team ensuring high-quality, trauma informed support for our young people who have experienced sexual violence. It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of Safeguarding legislation for children and adults, as well as child development. 
 

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and an ability to develop partnerships with schools, families, funders and other key stakeholders. About this key role

1. Job Purpose

The Senior Mental Health Support Worker will provide time-limited, one-to-one emotional and practical support to individuals experiencing low to moderate mental health challenges, including those with complex needs. Job Purpose

Gaddum has secured external funding to deliver an Employer care project, which will provide unpaid carers living in Manchester with support and coaching in order for them to re-enter paid or voluntary employment.

Delivery of this support to carers will be by Employment Coaches, who will manage a small caseload of carers and provide them with 1:1 support, helping them overcome barriers to employment and training. You will be responsible for supporting them through every stage of their journey, enabling participants to address their barriers and realise their aspirations. Successful employment coaches believe in the potential of every individual they work with.

Core responsibilities

• To support carers to address their barriers to employment by providing individual tailored packages of support so they can develop the necessary skills and confidence to secure and sustain employment.
• To act as coach and a mentor to build strong positive relationships, guide, motivate, challenge, encourage and help carers obtain sustainable employment.
• To ensure delivery targets are achieved by working with carers to identify employment opportunities and support them into and during employment.

About the Role

This is a new senior leadership role at IRMO, created to strengthen the coordination and development of our growing programmes and services. As our work has expanded, so has its complexity. This role has been designed to improve cross-team planning, bring greater consistency to our delivery, and embed a stronger focus on learning and impact across everything we do.

As Head of Programmes and Impact, you will be at the heart of a community-led, Latin American-led organisation committed to advancing migrant rights and social justice. You will play a key role in supporting that mission by helping ensure our work is effective, well-resourced and aligned with the needs of the communities we serve.

In this role, you will provide day-to-day support to Programme Managers, connect work across teams, and lead our new Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) function. You will also deputise for the CEO and contribute to strategic planning, quality assurance and risk management across the organisation.

As part of IRMO’s Senior Management Team, you will help shape and deliver our organisational strategy. You will also play a central role in our participation in the London Communities Human Rights Programme – a four-year project supporting us to embed a human rights-based approach in all areas of our work, in collaboration with the British Institute of Human Rights.

Essential

• At least one year’s experience in a senior management or leadership role

You will work between police custody and criminal courts. You will assess, advise and refer offenders, providing them the opportunity to access treatment to address their substance use. Working with courts you will promote the use of Community Sentence Treatment Requirements (Drug Rehabilitations Requirements and Alcohol Treatment Requirements) amongst all court professionals and the judiciary, contributing to Pre Sentence Reports and advocate for our service users.  

You will be responsible for delivering all elements of substance use work including assertive engagement, harm reduction support (including naloxone provision), as well as other associated duties. You need to have an understanding of the issues faced by people who use drugs and alcohol, and who commit crime, and be dedicated to delivering a service that supports these individuals to make positive changes to their behaviour, health and well-being.

We are seeking a motivated and efficient Events Assistant to join our growing and welcoming organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of a wide range of events (online and in person) for stakeholders across Wales’ political, public and academic life. The role also includes support for communications, meetings and other areas within LSW as they develop. As such, it offers a great all-round experience for someone looking to develop their career.

This flexible, full-time role is fixed term for one year and will provide essential support to our small and friendly team – enabling us to deliver our ambitious five-year strategy to benefit Wales.  We are looking for someone who is adaptable, supportive and organised. For an Assistant-level role we do not expect you to have substantial previous work experience, but we are looking for a self-starter with a keenness to learn, and a proactive attitude to assisting others and finding solutions is essential. 

LSW is a bilingual organisation that supports active Welsh speakers and learners at all levels. Fluency in Welsh is not a requirement of this post, but the ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable, and a willingness to learn is essential.

About the role

Managed by the Head of Public Policy, this is a role which is designed to work across our small team, supporting the management of a wide range of events (online and in person) as well as providing some support for communications, meetings and other areas as they develop.

We organise and host a wide variety of events from large public lectures to small networking events, in-person dinners to online seminars and meetings. Some of these are established annual events and some are one-off.  At these events and meetings, we host stakeholders from across Welsh political and public spheres as well as engaging and involving our 700+ Fellows who represent excellence across academia and beyond.

This role will focus primarily on events relating to LSW’s Strategic Priority 1: “Contribute to major policy solutions by providing independent advice and facilitating knowledge exchange”.  These events typically relate to one of the following five topics:

1. Facilitating the provision of evidence and expertise to inform public policy, with stakeholders including Welsh Government, the Senedd, the UK Government Wales Office, and the Westminster Welsh Affairs Committee.

2. Convening discussions on policy matters impacting research and innovation sectors, such as EDI, research culture, funding, open research, and civic engagement.

3. Advocating for the importance of all research, innovation, and knowledge in and for Wales.

4. Supporting and advocating for Wales Studies, i.e. research about Wales.

5. International engagement to raise Wales’s profile among science and research stakeholders internationally, and give Wales a voice in key conversations in the global science and research world. (Most current work is in Scotland and Ireland, with increasing European engagement)

You will also provide support across the team – including for the CEO, President, Head of Equity and Engagement, Communications Officer, and Events and Awards Officer where they require assistance with meetings, events and communications.  You will be working with different members of the team depending on the particular event or activity so you will manage your own time – with support from your line manager.

Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA) is the only UK charity dedicated to raising awareness of economic abuse and transforming responses to it.

Since our founding in 2017, we’ve proudly campaigned successfully for the recognition of economic abuse in UK law and influenced wide-ranging systemic change to transform responses to it. We're now entering an ambitious new phase, and we’re seeking a dynamic, strategic and values-led Head of Income as part of the Senior Leadership Teamto help drive it forward.

This is a critical time for SEA. With a bold three-year strategy now in place, we’re looking for an experienced income-generation leader to oversee and diversify our income streams — across high-net-worth giving, corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, and earned income through consultancy and training. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Income will play a vital role in shaping the future of the organisation and enabling us to scale our impact.

The Head of Income will lead a talented team, including our Senior Fundraising Manager (trusts and foundations) and Corporate Development Manager (strategic multi-stakeholder partnerships), and collaborate closely with our CEO, Trustees and earned income delivery teams (consultancy and training) whilst also being hands on in relationship development.
