Job description

SAFE is looking for experienced professionals to coordinate the provision of groupwork and one-to-one services for vulnerable families. SAFE! has been awarded funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and Children in Need to extend and develop its service for families experiencing Child on Parent Violence.

In order to be considered for this role you will have professional understanding of domestic abuse and extensive experience of working with vulnerable children, adolescents or parents in a supportive role.You will be experienced in facilitating groupwork and in providing a range of interventions to vulnerable young people or parents.An enthusiastic self-starter with excellent communication skills, you will have experience of multi-agency working and a commitment to high-standards of professionalism. You will be responsible for co-ordinating a locally based groupwork programme focused on supporting families affected by Child on Parent Violence including assessment and delivery of support to a caseload of young people and parents affected by Child on Parent Violence

Applicants will have a good understanding of confidentiality and safe working practices and maintenance of records in accordance with the Data Protection (GDPR) Act.  In addition, you must be able to demonstrate your active commitment to promoting equal opportunities and diversity.

SAFE! works across the Thames Valley.  There are currently office bases in Oxford and Bracknell and desk sharing arrangements in Bicester and Newbury.  Some home-working will also be considered.
