The Finance Officer will take on responsibility for the whole accounts payable cycle as well as other office management duties including post opening and banking. The role would suit someone with experience in working within a charity finance team who is looking to develop their career in finance.

Role Summary
This role will support the expanding Fundraising & Engagement team with all fundraising activities to ensure that good relationships are maintained with all Alcohol Change UK (ACUK) supporters. The Fundraising and Engagement Assistant will undertake the financial administration and recording of all fundraising income as well as being the first point of contact for the team ensuring ACUK delivers high levels of supporter care.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Fundraising
-
Coordinating ACUK’s CRM system (ThankQ) and ensuring data accuracy including:
- New donor details, communications with supporters, gift aid and consent purposes
- Championing data cleansing and monthly de-duping of contacts

Coordinating all general fundraising enquiries including phone calls, fundraising & engagement email inboxes (providing holiday cover for the training & consultancy inbox) and post.

Coordinating lead generation from third party challenge event companies and converting leads into participants

Coordinating fundraising resources and merchandise including;
- Sending out materials to supporters
- Compiling fulfilment reports from online shop and sending over to fulfilment agency
- Monitoring stock levels of fundraising materials and shop merchandise

Maintaining up to date filing systems

Supporting with research for Trusts & Foundation applications

Processing all physical (cash and cheques) and online donations received in accordance with ACUK’s cash handling procedures, including;
- Counting and processing cheques/cash
- Logging all donations on a central post sheet
- Processing and reporting on all donations received through the ACUK website and all third-party platforms
- Ensuring all donors are thanked in a timely manner in line with their communication preferences
- Importing all donation data to ThankQ
Engagement programme

Act as the first point of contact for enquiries from our volunteers (Community Champions) and, alongside the Fundraising & Engagement Manager, steward our volunteers including the coordination of volunteer activities.

Identify opportunities for supporters of different types to discover new ways to engage with them (for example helping donors become campaigners or encouraging cultural change activists to become community fundraisers, etc).
Cross-organisational Role

Work closely with colleagues across the charity to support their work and to act as ‘one team’.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Education Team. This role will require the successful candidate to support an integrated and holistic approach to education, health and care, work under the direct supervision of an allocated teacher / senior specialist teaching assistant, support access to learning and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils in learning opportunities and to assist the teacher in providing relevant support for pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex therapeutic, medical and health needs.

Role Requirements
STL1 – Provide support for Learning Activities set by Classteacher & Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant
- To support learning activities for individual, groups or whole classes of pupils, leading activities under the direction of the teacher or Senior Teaching Assistant supporting the teacher in their delivery of lessons.
- To demonstrate our School Ethos and Pupil Charter throughout the School day.
- Holistically integrate education, health and care needs.
- Evaluate and record procedures for learning activities.
- To know individual learning targets for each pupil in the group(s) and take specific action to enable individual pupil goals be achieved.

STL 3 – Help to keep Children Safe
- Undertake annual safeguarding training.
- Adhere to the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures and policies. Recording incidents pertaining to pupil safety, including for illness, accidents and incidents, accepting that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and that ‘it could happen here’.
- Read relevant documentation / mandatory reads in relation to Keeping Children Safe In Education.
- Report any signs and indicators of possible abuse, being sensitive to the child/young person and circumstances, Identifying, report and record changes in behaviour and physical signs.

Finance Business Partner (Corporate Services)
Job Purpose
- To be the lead accountant within the finance function supporting our corporate activities, including HR, Comms, Finance and Property & Operations

HR
Our staff and volunteers are central to what we do here at O&U and XO Bikes. We are a growing team and it is essential that all staff members feel valued and supported. The Operations Director will assist the core management team in ensuring we all work well together to fulfil the missional objectives of the charity. Tasks will include:

FINANCE
The Operations Director will need to have a good understanding of finance reporting and systems to inform leadership, manage budgets and cashflow and ensure we meet statutory financial requirements. They will manage the Finance Assistant who is responsible for keeping our finance systems up to date and managing day to day bookkeeping.
Finance tasks will include:
· Management of Finance Assistant to ensure accurate, timely and complete information is provided to Trustees and the O&U management team to inform strategy and planning decisions. This will include the following tasks:
o Production of annual budgets and cashflows in conjunction with the management team
o Management of relationships with auditors, Charity Commission and HMRC
o Responsibility for statutory and management finance reporting including external independent examinations/audits.

· Ensure timely filing of annual reports and accounts for the charity and any ventures the trustees are responsible for
OFFICE SUPPORT
The Operations Director will manage the Operations Assistant and ensure staff are fully set up and trained on all IT systems. This includes Microsoft office products, database management systems, HR platforms and retail/production systems.

· Ensure IT provision is consistent, up to date and easily accessible to all staff and volunteers

PREMISES MANAGEMENT
The Operations Director will ensure the offices, workshops and retail outlets are safe spaces, well maintained and fit for purpose. This will include the following:
· Review building security and insurance provision annually
· Review health and safety policies and ensure training is provided to all staff
· Ensure fire regulations are complied with at all premises
· Review property leases and liaise with landlords as required by core management team
· Manage relationship with local council re business rates and discretionary relief applications
· Manage contracts with utility providers (includes lighting/heating/water)

CHARITY GOVERNANCE
The Operations Director will be the liaison between the UK Charity Commission, the trustees of O&U and the staff team. Tasks will include:

· Production and circulation of Trustee meeting minutes
· Charity Commission administration and reporting

LEGAL & COMPLIANCE
Ensure implementation of procedures and policies in line with all relevant statutory requirements concerning HR, Finance and Charity governance. Ensure O&U is kept up to date with all regulatory changes which affect the charity and our commercial ventures. This will include the following:
· Keep up to date with changing legislation and laws affecting companies and charities making appropriate recommendations to management on changes and other relevant matters.

Job Profile
The post is a pivotal role in CAFOD’s Asia & Middle East (AME) team supporting the Head of Region in the management and co-ordination of regional programming and organisational processes ensuring smooth administration, programme cycle management and communications. The post holder will be responsible for building effective working relationships with peers in the International Programme Group, as well as with colleagues across CAFOD such as funding, finance, and communications. They will act as the AME focal point for communications, supporting programme teams to develop materials for internal and external audiences.
CAFOD’s Asia & Middle East region currently has core programmes in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Lebanon, Myanmar, occupied Palestinian territory and Israel, Sri Lanka and Syria.
Key Responsibilities
The scope of the post falls into the following broad functions:
- Support and co-ordination: supporting the Head of Region in the management and coordination of cross-regional work and relevant organisational processes.
- Communications: supporting the effective communication and flow of information across the regional team and with the rest of the organisation, including supporting programme teams to prepare communications materials.

Representation:

We're seeking a passionate, innovative, and experienced leader to oversee the Tenancy Support Team (TST) North, a vital service providing housing-related support to people living in accommodation across North London.
About the role
As the Head of Service for TST North, you'll be at the forefront of driving positive change and ensuring the smooth operation of SHP’s largest Tenancy Support Service. With a focus on both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing specialised projects and ensuring the delivery of high-quality personalised support housing-related and Move-On support.
The Head of Service for TST (North) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Tenancy Support Team (North) and bespoke projects that support the delivery of the main service. TST North comprises two distinct services funded via the Greater London Authority (GLA) – TST North (main contract), which offers tenancy and Move-on support to 1200 clients housed through the Clearing House Scheme, and TST North PRS which supports 200 clients housed in Private Rented Sector Accommodation.
The Head of TST will hold overall responsibility for motivating and managing the 50+ staff team, ensuring exceptional service delivery, targets are achieved, and clients receive the best possible support to enable them to sustain their tenancies. The Head of TST is required to demonstrate strong commercial awareness, be able to use KPI and outcome data to influence service delivery.
The post holder is required to be agile and dynamic in their approach to engaging and managing the multiple stakeholder relationships across all North London Boroughs, including the development and management of relationships with Private Rented Sector landlords and agents to ensure that Move-on targets are achieved. There is a strong focus on the development of processes, policies, and procedures that promote the key ambitions of the service and respond to changes in service delivery, either due to shifting funding priorities or the launch of new bespoke projects.
About you
- Experience in leading large and dispersed teams in either supported housing, advice, homelessness, or other relevant environment.
- Ability to manage multiple service priorities and commissioner/external stakeholders' demands and to remain motivated in a demanding and target-driven role.
- Experience in producing, analysing, and interpreting complex reports and statistics for use in service monitoring or planning.
- A strong understanding of the techniques aims and objectives of working with street homeless people, including those facing multiple disadvantages.
- An enthusiasm and well-developed skill for placing service users at the heart of service delivery and developing services based on their experience.
- Experience of financial planning for service delivery; budgetary responsibility and control. Wide-ranging knowledge of housing pathways and Move-on routes for people moving from housing with support to independence (hostels, Private Rented Sector, and social housing).

About the team
Sitting under our Finance Team, we work collaboratively to help safeguard our resources across Shelter to ensure the organisation is financially stable. Our finance teams all work together to help support Shelter’s aim to achieve a home for everyone.
This Accounts Payable team plays a crucial role within Finance – working to pay suppliers in a timely manner allowing Shelter to continue it’s vital work. We also lead on controls to help ensure that donors’ money is being spent in the best way we can. You’ll be working in a tight-knit team alongside two Accounts Payable Coordinators, an Accounts Payable Manager, a Head of Financial Control and Operations – all of which fall under our Assistant Director of Finance.
About the role
Your role will involve ensuring all invoices are properly posted to Shelter’s finance system, as well as matching to correct purchase orders within required timescales. You’ll also be processing our staff expenses as well as credit card expenses to ensure that we pay these within our agreed timescales.
Part of your day-to-day tasks will also involve being the key point of contact through our Accounts Payable Inbox – and at times we’ll rely on you to provide training to Shelter colleagues on our purchase-to-pay cycle as well as providing guidance for raising purchase requisition requests. You’ll be an integral part of our team to ensure our operations run smoothly helping us to deliver within our deadlines.

About you
You’ll possess a keen eye for detail and also love working with numbers. You’ll enjoy working at pace and will be able to manage your time effectively, with the ability to work to our deadlines but also reprioritising tasks when required.

And while experience of working on a high-volume accounts payable system is desirable, it’s not necessary so we’re happy to discuss your learning and development further.
