Our award winning fundraising division is currently looking for an Engagement and Stewardship Executive to join our Partnership and Philanthropy team in this newly created role for the charity.
With ambitious plans to grow our fundraising income above £60m in the next 5 years we are expanding our fundraising team. The role sits within the newly created Operations Team ensuring Age UK's donor facing Partnerships and Philanthropy Team are provided with the highest quality donor research, engagement and stewardship materials required to create transformative partnerships with businesses, high net worth individuals, trusts and foundations.
In this newly created position we require a collaborative individual who can support our Senior Operations Manager deliver our stewardship strategy focused on inspiring, thanking and retaining our major donors, corporate partners and grant funders by creating engaging communications and activities.
This role offers hybrid working between home and London (EC3N 2LB). Our fundraising division attend the London office once a week on Thursday's.

Additional Information
* This role is not a donor-facing role but sits within the newly created Partnerships and Philanthropy Operations team that provides the back-of-house systems, processes, content and support to enable donor-facing colleagues to operate efficiently and effectively.
* We ask all members of Age UK's Partnerships and Philanthropy department to work from our London hub near Tower Hill at least once a week to enable collaboration, skills development and team dynamics (currently Thursdays). Age UK is recruiting for a Data Privacy Manager to join our Information Protection and Compliance team to continue our great work to develop and manage the Age UK data protection privacy programme and to work on programmes of activity as defined by the ICO.
As Data Privacy Manager, you will review, update, and monitor the policies and procedures that are in place to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Regulation 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Regulation (PECR, 2003) laws, including managing internal data protection activities, advising on data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), training staff, and conducting internal audits.
This role focuses on providing data protection advice to Age UK's various business units promoting a "privacy first" approach to design and development of products and services that involve the use of personal data and your primary aim will be to recommend and oversee measures to address any identified gaps in data protection and security.
The successful candidate will use their experience in data governance to undertake regular due diligence on the key elements of the Age UK data privacy framework, identifying and reporting any areas of practice and procedure that that require focus and remedy to ensure that there is no weakness across the charity and our commercial partners.
This role is offered on a Hybrid / London contract and currently the team meet in our London office once a week.

About this role
This role is an opportunity to participate in the global movement to protect the natural world; meeting and supporting incredible communities and organisations driving change to secure a sustainable future. You will be supporting our partners and carrying out grant administration in the Amphibian and Congo Basin Programmes, for which proficiency in both French and English is essential.
The role will be a fundamental part of Synchronicity Earth’s Programmes team (currently a team of seven people), working to help develop and grow the support we provide to our partners (grantees) across our programmes. Specific responsibilities will include the following:
- Manage some grantee partner relationships, including building trust and openness, identifying capacity needs, administrating grants, monitoring progress and fulfilling reporting requirements.
- Provide administrative support across the Programmes Team with grant management e.g. preparing of grant paperwork, reviewing partner reports and checklists (proposals), monitoring pipelines.
- Undertake research in focal areas for the Programmes Team, such as identifying intervention points and opportunities to make a difference in conservation.
- Contribute to communication products, including donor reports and applications, to support Synchronicity Earth’s fundraising and philanthropic goals.
- Produce and contribute to board papers and discussions.

Synchronicity Earth is a UK-based, global environmental charity which funds work that aims to make our planet a better place to live for all its inhabitants.
We are a medium-sized charity which supports partners working to protect less well-known species and ecosystems around the world that receive less attention but face the greatest threats. We do this through our Conservation Programmes, which identify, fund, and support organisations with a focus on: Amphibians, Asian Species, Congo Basin, Biocultural Diversity, Freshwater, and Ocean. We also support work across two other areas: the More than Carbon initiative, a portfolio of climate and biodiversity projects targeted at corporate donors; and the Synchronicity Portfolio, which aims to foster systemic change to promote a greater focus on biodiversity conservation within different sectors. This position is a permanent full-time position that is based in the Synchronicity Earth offices in Central London, with the option for hybrid office/home working if the successful applicant wishes with 2 days a week in the office (laptop would be provided for home working). The successful candidate must be already eligible to work in the UK.
Annual leave
25 days per year for a full-time position (in addition to public holidays), adjusted for part-time. We also run an employer-supported volunteering programme, where employees may take additional time-off (2 days per annum) to volunteer for community organisations and other charities (in accordance with our policy).

Review process: The application process will have three stages. About the role
The London Library is looking for an Acquisitions and Discovery Assistant to assist in the acquisition and management of Library E-resources and print resources.
The role includes supporting the successful acquisition and seamless delivery of electronic resources to library users, utilising and maintaining relevant library systems and records; assisting purchasing decisions and supporting licensing, ordering and payment processes; verifying access, liaising with suppliers & Library IT, and ensuring correct metadata is presented to users; plus monitoring resource use and collecting data for the evaluation of subscriptions. There is the opportunity to support membership and services, including giving tours to prospective members.
In addition to assisting with the administration of E-books, the role requires processes associated with the management of the print journal collection, including serials and donated materials, such as checking in new issues and ensuring publications are shelved correctly, applying stamps, recording invoices, recording changes in publishers' information and preparing completed volumes of serial parts for binding and checking.
There is potential to grow and develop the role, which will join our busy Acquisitions and Discovery team and assisting with administrative tasks associated with cataloguing along with supporting the Library’s internal Digitisation processes as required.
