Salary: £26,520 per annum

Contract: Full time, 12-month fixed term contract with possible extension

Excel within an innovative and engaging organisation that is working towards bettering the lives of others through cycling. Cycling UK is the national cycling charity. We campaign nationally and locally for safe and attractive cycling conditions, as well as promoting cycling in all its forms for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities through our local volunteer groups and nationally co-ordinated projects.

We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic, and committed person to drive Cycling UK’s campaigns, all aimed at removing barriers to cycling. The role includes lead responsibility for coordinating our May election 2022 campaigns, and our infrastructure campaigning. Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills are a must for this role, to support our vision to get millions more people cycling.

If you’ve got the political nous, campaigning skills, and enthusiasm to champion cycling and get the UK cycling, then we want to hear from you! The campaigns officer will report to Cycling UK’s head of campaigns.

Tell us why you are the person to drive impact in this capacity.

Visit our website and explore the job description for full details on this exciting opportunity. Complete the application form expressing why you are the right candidate for this opening and send to our recruitment team (contact details available on our website).

Focus on gearing your supporting statement to exemplify how your skills and experience match the requirements of the role, directly referring to the person specification. This enables the selection panel to assess your relative strengths against the specified criteria.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday 10 December 2021.

We are an inclusive organisation and would particularly welcome applications from candidates from a broad range of backgrounds. We strongly believe that diversity strengthens our work. If you are already passionate about cycling, that’s great, many of us are too! But if you are simply really excellent at what you do, no matter what your background, that is what matters most to us.

If you think that this describes you and you are excited by the prospect of joining our team, please do get in touch to find out more.
