Key Purpose:
To work as part of a team that provide high quality services to farming people that come to RABI for support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality information, advice and guidance in an empathetic and professional manner.

Person Specification:
Essential
- Experience providing services to vulnerable service users, listening and supporting in a non-judgemental way.
- Knowledge and insight into state benefits and complementary support services (whether national/local/statutory agencies.)
- Excellent communication skills, being able to establish rapport and build trust quickly.
- The ability to build a practical plan alongside a service user and adapt approach to different circumstances and personalities.

Brendan House is a 24-hour, nonclinical, Short Term Crises Intervention Service. The service provides accommodation for a period of up to six nights, for those with mild to medium mental health problems, who are experiencing a mental health crisis that requires a safe and supportive place to stay, in order to avoid admission to hospital or A&E. We provide 1-1 daily Support Sessions which are designed to help individuals to work through the period of Crises, identifying relevant coping strategies with professional support, with the view of maintaining wellbeing.
We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in.
Some relevant experience within a similar role would be beneficial, although full training will be provided. Candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. More important is your caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. The Exempt Accommodation Support Service is a new project based at our main hub in Digbeth but providing outreach support across a number of locations in the city. We are looking for housing and substance misuse workers to provide flexible, person-centred support to people aged 18 years plus who are homeless, have a history of homelessness or who are at risk of becoming homeless. It will primarily be supporting people living in exempt accommodation who have support needs relating to addiction and who are in active treatment or contemplating treatment.
The aims of this service are to provide additional support to improve access and sustainment of suitable accommodation for people engaging in structured drug and alcohol treatment, to reduce the scale of unmet housing need for this group of clients and to build evidence of housing-related need and effective interventions. The service will provide a range of practical support around finances, health and wellbeing, access to volunteering or training opportunities and integration into local communities as well as supporting continued engagement with treatment and tenancy sustainment.
This post is for 35 hours per week fixed term for one year initially.
This post requires to :-
Provide a person centred service to individuals taking a psychologically informed approach to advice and support ensuring that clients are given choice and control about how their support is delivered.
Assist with practical support such as travel issues, settling into accommodation and addressing any immediate accommodation issues.
Ensure individuals have access to key services, including health care, substance misuse, and wellbeing services.

Build effective, positive rapport with clients, maintaining professional boundaries and fostering trust.
Work alongside and in partnership with other advice hubs and Housing Options teams based at other sites across the city to process referrals quickly and efficiently and to work collaboratively with other agencies and organisations to ensure high quality service delivery.
Support the Team Lead and Service Manager to monitor the take up and impact of service and the client journey, including case studies and data capture.

Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:
· Support stroke survivors and their carers to develop appropriate communication strategies and practices, Build confidence in the use of these communication strategies in order to live life with maximum independence
· Run an effective service for stroke survivors and carers, including face to face, digital and online resources, ensuring that confidential and accurate records are kept on our CRM data base
· Provide personalised information, advice and supportEnable stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes

Support Coordinator
This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke. We are looking for an innovative, passionate, and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Service based in Hertfordshire.
Position: 11156 Stroke Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based, Hertfordshire, however frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Hours: Full-time 35 hour per week
Salary: Circa £25,500 per annum (inner London weighting £3,299 per annum or outer London weighting £1,755 per annum may be applied in accordance with where you live)

As a Peer Advocate, you will support people experiencing homelessness to review their health needs and access health services.
