Bid Writer

Permanent contract, 35 days a week

Based in either our Wythenshawe (Greater Manchester) or London office, with home working. During these times we are all working from home, as such this position will be home-based for the foreseeable future.

This role sits within our Bid Management team, which consists of our Bid Writers and Bid Managers. The team is part of our wider High Value team which includes our Business Development Managers and our Philanthropy & Partnerships colleagues. The High Value team works across the country to secure new and existing funding to maintain and grow our portfolio of services, which include mental health, substance misuse, children's rights, and disrupting exploitation. Your role will be to work with colleagues across the organisation, managing and developing compelling bids for statutory funders.

We are looking for an excellent communicator who can:

- Plan and answer written questions

- Proofread content

- Build relationships internally

- Conduct research into demographics and need

- Manage multiple and conflicting timelines

- Be curious about our services, asking for detail from our subject matter experts to ensure a full understanding of our delivery models

In order to apply for this role, you must have:

- Experience writing quality bids

- Degree: 2:1 or higher in a written subject

- IT skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

- Attention to detail

- Passion for changing children's lives for the better
