We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Officer within our Platform Service Team. You will have demonstrable experience in a marketing or communications role, as well as experience of dealing with a range of media including maintaining and developing websites. In this role, you will support the delivery of all internal and external communications activities, the delivery of PR strategies and campaigns to increase Picker's media profile and broader communication and organisation brand objectives. You will work to ensure the consistency and quality of all external communications and to disseminate the organisation's evaluation/improvement activity, research outputs and policy messages, via our website, newsletter and social channels.
This role
In this role, you will:
- Support the Marketing and Communications Manager in developing the organisation's communications strategy
- Help to implement communications initiatives
- Support the teams with the development and dissemination of effective marketing materials
- Provide editorial support and copywriting expertise to other teams so that accurate copy is produced in line with brand image and protocols
- Work collaboratively with other teams, creating strong links between other programmes and projects to ensure the successful implementation of marketing and communication campaigns
- To support the production of written content such as blogs and case studies
- Work with our PR consultant to distribute press releases and external content
- Monitor the media and wide external environment to identify opportunities for Picker to raise its media profile
- Support and implement a variety of internal communications to enhance employee engagement and retention
- Responsible for the day to day maintenance and ongoing development of the website
- Coordinate all social media activity
- Develop ideas for our social content to increase its appeal

About You

GFS is a feminist organisation with a mission to empower girls and young women in England and Wales to live their best lives. Girls as young as 6 tell us that they cannot be themselves. This causes problems for them and society. So, we offer an early intervention service for girls living in areas of deprivation to have the greatest impact.
This is an exciting role with an opportunity to lead the charity into the 150th Year of delivery and with a new strategy to address need. We are looking for a Product and Portfolio Manager within our Porfolio Development Team. You will have demonstrable experience in product/portfolio lifecycle management as well as a proven track record of successfully developing a cohesive portfolio strategy. You will need significant experience of meeting new business targets and driving business growth, as well as the development of a new business pipeline.

In this role, you will work closely with colleagues to introduce new products and services that will support our growth and charitable impact. The role will include responsibility for meeting a new business target, through lead generation. This is an important and dynamic role that will require strategic thinking and a strongly collaborative approach.
This role
In this role, you will:
- Manage the existing product portfolio, reviewing the existing offering in relation to market trends, client needs, the competitive landscape and the Charity's strategic goals
- Develop detailed product knowledge across the portfolio of products, leading development activity for each area alongside ongoing assessment of financial performance and product/service viability.
- Recommend and oversee product improvements, using market demand and customer and colleague feedback to identify and prioritise change.
- Working with the Chief Operating Officer and service leads to understand trends and opportunities across the portfolio and associated markets.
- Engage with expert colleagues from across the organisation to understand and support the development of their product ideas, evaluating these against internal and external factors including feasibility, expected value, and market demand.
- Financial and strategic modelling of new product options based on market demand, fit to Picker strategy, impact/income potential, strength of offering and ability to reach target audience.
- Work in partnership with the Chief Operating Officer, Head of Service Delivery, service leads, and the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop marketing plans to support demand generation on a thematic basis, providing expert product knowledge, customer insight and new business leads.
About You
You will have:
- Demonstrable experiences in product/portfolio lifecycle management.
- Demonstrable experience of managing project timetables, including reviewing progress and amending plans to address changing requirements
- Proven track record of successfully developing a cohesive portfolio strategy that supports brand integrity/growth, whilst growing individual business lines/products/services
- Significant experience of meeting product/service business targets. Including driving business growth with new services and/or in new markets
- Experience of success in the development and qualification of a new business pipeline (including campaign management and follow-up)
- Demonstrable leadership skills, with the ability to lead projects through to successful completion
- High levels of IT literacy, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and Dynamics
- Highly numerate and confident in dealing with quantitative data including management and financial information
- Ability to work collaboratively at corporate and departmental levels and, where necessary, with external suppliers and contacts
- Excellent grasp of the English language in the business context
- Ability to apply innovative thinking to identify how new research methodologies could be beneficial to the organisation and its clients

About the role
This is an exciting time to join Young Lives vs Cancer as we set up a new Brand Marketing and Communications function including a team of digital experts.
As the Digital Product Officer, you will support the ongoing development and management of the organisation’s website. Help to manage the process for reporting, testing and deploying updates to the functionality. Improve the processes around the creation of content on the website and help manage the back end of the CMS to ensure it is clear and functional.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
• Experience of developing and maintaining a website to deliver excellent user journeys that meets the needs of our audience
• The ability to manage stakeholders to capture requirements, partnering with teams and offering advice and technical expertise to shape our development needs
