The UK Trauma Council (UKTC) is nationwide platform bringing together expertise in research, practice, policy, and lived experience in the field of childhood trauma. We are seeking a Programme Manager to work closely with UKTC Co-Directors to coordinate and oversee the entire programme of work.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders. They will be skilled in building strong relationships, managing budgets and developing strategies for income generation. The ability to working autonomously is essential and we would expect the successful candidate to have working knowledge of co-production processes with Experts by Experience as well as commitment to improving the mental health of children, young people and families. This role is responsible for delivering the operational backbone of the ICA including the maintenance and upkeep of our grade one listed premises on the Mall. Overseeing a range of building management and operational duties, this person will ensure the facilities are fit for purpose, safe and secure, comfortable and in good state of repair. They will ensure operational policies and procedures are compliant with relevant legislation. They will also ensure IT and office management processes are effectively delivered. To succeed, the postholder must be proactive, hands on and work closely with all ICA staff and deeply understand the needs of curatorial, private hires, café bar and front of house departments to provide the best possible premises conditions for the ICA’s needs. They must also ensure positive relationships with external stakeholders.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced operations manager to join our team. We are looking for someone who will help strengthen the foundations of our organisation, as well as help us expand our growing network of partner organisations across the UK. 

As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with strategic planning and management. Building on what has already been done, you will work directly with the CEO to help build the operational structure of Big Green Heart, and support its day-to-day operations. 

You will also facilitate the national deployment of Big Green Heart workshops across the UK, and will work with the CEO and trustees to implement the strategy needed to upscale the work of Big Green Heart.

Role Context

One of the nine members of the Coram group, Coram Children’s Legal Centre (CCLC) is the UK’s specialist centre for children’s rights in education, immigration, community care and family law, and provides significant international legal systems consultancy. About the role

This role will provide financial and operational leadership and management for CCLC particularly focussed on the Legal Practice Unit and the Migrant Children’s Project but with support for the Child Law Advice Service and Coram International where required. Managing a small finance team, the role will hold primary responsibility for core financial functions within CCLC including legal aid billing and management and tracking of grant and other charitable funding. Through systematic and efficient financial management, the post holder will play a pivotal role in CCLC’s financial sustainability. The role will act as a key point of contact with Coram’s central finance team and a range of internal and external stakeholders on financial matters.

The role will also oversee the smooth running of the London and Colchester offices through line management of operations and administrative staff.

The role would suit a high organised and efficient business support professional with experience of financial management within the legal or charity sector. In particular, candidates with experience of legal billing and more specifically, civil legal aid billing, would be welcomed.

This is a largely office-based role in order to fully provide support to the finance and operations team. However, some remote / hybrid working may be possible depending the experience of the candidate after the initial settling in period (to be negotiated with the successful candidate).The finance team are split between the London and Colchester offices and the post holder should expect some travel to both locations. The large majority of the legal and policy team are based in London and as such regular (at least twice weekly) presence in our London office will be expected. However, on other days the candidate could be based in the London or Colchester office.

High Trees are seeking a dynamic and creative Community Capacity Building Officer to provide tailored development support to local organisations and manage projects relating to sector support. You will be joining us at an exciting time following the formation of a new Research and Development team which is starting to deliver a new capacity building offer to the local Voluntary and Community Sector, including one-to-one mentoring and the production of high-quality resources based on our experience of working with Lambeth communities for over 25 years. We deliver capacity building support both directly and through our partnership work.

This is a hands-on, practical role and the right candidate will have a wide skillset. You will be working on a variety of projects which focus on capacity building and VCS infrastructure support. Your day-to-day work will be varied and over the next 12 months we expect this to include tasks such as supporting local VCS organisations on a one-to-one basis to improve their policies and procedures, managing a local grants programme, creating high quality templates and user guides, and running workshop or training sessions using the resources we have developed such as our Collaboration and Employment Toolkits. The Huntington's Disease Association is a UK registered charity that supports people affected by Huntington's disease across England and Wales. We provide information, advice and support to families, friends, and healthcare professionals.

We are looking for an experienced Volunteer Manager to support and inspire those who volunteer for the charity. You will lead them in line with the vision, mission and values of the charity and work to fulfil the goals of our strategic plan. You will strengthen our current volunteering strands with effective governance and great communication and will develop new volunteering opportunities within the charity.

You will manage our volunteer-led Branches and Support groups who offer peer support, fundraising opportunities and activities locally. You will also manage HD Voice, our panel of volunteers, who contribute to the internal development of the charity and ensure that the voice of the Huntington’s community is at the heart of research into the condition.

You will co-ordinate all aspects of the volunteer journey from recruitment, selection, induction, training and ongoing support and develop effective policies, procedures and guidance for volunteers as well as developing an effective monitoring and evaluation process.

We are looking for someone with strong volunteer management skills who has experience of training volunteers and of writing policies, procedures and guidance in line with data protection guidance. Also someone with great communication and relationship management skills who has experience of managing volunteers at all stages of their volunteer journey.   

There will be regular evening and weekend work as many of our volunteers work themselves so need the support out of office hours. There will be a need for travel across England and Wales.

We are medical experts applying our skills and knowledge to make a difference in the world. We bring together the global community of medical imaging professionals to make the case for diagnostic imaging.

Since 2017, Worldwide Radiology has been steadily growing from a small group of founding UK radiologists with experience of working in limited resource settings to an international team of around 50 long-term volunteers from a range of different imaging and clinical backgrounds.

We support the development of appropriate, high quality imaging services in low and middle income countries; from central teaching hospitals to remote district clinics. We work together with our partners to build the necessary skills and capacity to improve patient care and we aim to increase opportunities for imaging research focused on local or national healthcare priorities.

Overview

The Programme Manager role will be crucial to the success and development of the charity. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of 3+ Worldwide Radiology projects, operating across Malawi, Ghana and The Gambia.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for quickly grasping the needs of three ongoing projects, steering them toward desired impact, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and managing risks effectively to bring these projects into shape.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with key stakeholders, including our volunteers, partners and donors to build and nurture strong working relationships. 

​

They will contribute to seeking out further grant opportunities within the sector, working closely with the rest of the programmes team and the fundraising team.

The key responsibilities of this post are as follows:

(a) oversee the smooth running of our projects; 

(b) provide strong, holistic solutions, focused on operational leadership; and 

(c) support the overall growth and development of the organisation.
 

Role-Specific Responsibilities

1. Provide overall day-to-day management for WWR projects and WWR volunteers, reporting directly to the WWR Director.

2. Oversee the development and operational execution of detailed work-plans and budgets for WWR programme

3. Track all milestones and reporting schedules, taking timely action to ensure they are met.

4. Develop and deliver project MEAL activities in collaboration with our external MEAL consultant.

5. Produce (gather, collate and edit)  high quality, timely project progress, annual and donor-specific reports.

6. Oversee the management of partnership agreements and contracts in accordance with the donor specific requirements.

7. Support the identification and securing of new grant opportunities in collaboration with the programmes and fundraising teams.

8. Communicate administrative and technical information to WWR project partners in a timely, sensitive and effective manner.

9. Assist team members, volunteers, partners and members of the public with queries, demonstrating tact and understanding when dealing with complex and serious issues, deliver a consistently high and appropriate level of service and support to individuals contacting WWR.

10. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, induction and management of both UK and international WWR volunteers.
     

Qualifications and Experience

• Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience.

• Experience in grant or contract management in a humanitarian or development environment.
