Finance Business Partner (Corporate Services)
Job Purpose
- To be the lead accountant within the finance function supporting our corporate activities, including HR, Comms, Finance and Property & Operations

Remit
Finance Business Partnering support for HR, Comms & Finance

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Systems Lead to join our People Team. This role will require the successful candidate to play a key role in the development, implementation and maintenance of The Children’s Trust’s business systems, including the Access suite of products and the IRAR incident reporting system. Role Requirements
• Act as a trusted, technical specialist for our business systems, by developing a comprehensive and rigorous knowledge-base of the software architecture, whilst overseeing its maintenance and ensuring the department (and by extension, the organisation) benefits from its full capabilities.
• Ensure that processes are automated (as far as reasonably practicable) and that business systems are fit for purpose, with technical requirements delivered in a timely manner.
• Ensure that technical and procedural processes are in place to guarantee data quality and integrity, by utilising single sources of truth and streamlining database queries.
• Develop and maintain an in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of both regulatory requirements and daily operational practices, to ensure effective, efficient and compliant business systems.

• Proactively liaise and communicate with departments across the organisation, to ensure that constructive feedback is received, and information needs are met in a timely manner.
• Develop and review policies and procedures impacted by the implementation of any new system developments.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external venders to ensure the requirements of the business system owners are being met
• Raise issues on behalf of business system owners and users and work with external providers to ensure issues are resolved.

About the role

To support Habitat for Humanity GB’s (HFHGB) vision of a decent home for everyone, the Director of Development is accountable for leading the development, implementation and performance monitoring of our partnerships, resource mobilisation, communication, and engagement strategies. The Director of Development is also responsible for leading a high performing team to deliver those strategies, and working collaboratively across HFHGB, the international Habitat network (HFHI), and with external partners.
Key responsibilities include the development of Habitat for Humanity’s positioning, fundraising, engagement and strategic partnerships with individuals, trusts, foundations, and corporates, including funds that are blended with institutional and investment income. Strategies will be delivered in a way that is sustainable and high impact, always aligned with our strategy and Habitat for Humanity’s mission. Externally the role develops the profile and positioning of HFHGB as a creative impact partner in development, bringing in new relationships as well as maintaining existing. With your great client relationship building skills, you will be responsible for maximising the commercial use of the venue, dealing with all event enquiries, and giving excellent client guidance. You will be dealing with all external clients, existing and new, which will include agencies, corporate partners, charities and other organisations.
All the events will be of the highest quality, with the beautiful space within this historic building being offered with the commitment to realise its full potential. By overseeing all sales, co-ordinating the diary, optimising income received and building relationships, you will ensure the venue becomes a key and competitive player within the exclusive venues of London.
This is about the ability to manage the whole process and deliver against key performance indicators in terms of commercial maximisation and usage, building relationships, managing a team and ensuring the great experience and service received makes clients want to come back time and time again.
The postholder will:
- Be responsible for generating a profitable income stream for a newly launched commercial space in the heart of Islington just off Angel tube station
- Develop and manage the staffing and event operations, with additional resource as required
- Have a strong commitment to accessibility and social justice, ensuring that we are adhering to best practice
- Assist in developing and maintaining effective teamwork across Crafts Council
- Be flexible within the broad remit of the post
- Continuously seek ways to improve personal, team and business performance
- Attend and participate in Crafts Council performance, development, and training programmes
- Ensure that you comply with all Health and Safety regulations and safe working practice as required by current legislation and the Company’s Health and Safety and Safeguarding policies and practices
- Understand the importance of equality and inclusion in the workplace
- Always promote the highest level of customer experience
