We are a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. Purpose of the People & Culture Assistant role: 

To work as part of the People and Culture team to provide a professional, high quality, timely, customer focused HR recruitment/contractual administration/transactional service to key internal stakeholders, job applicants and support closely on people and culture activities especially the Learning and Development workstream.

Key duties and responsibilities of the People & Culture Assistant:

To provide high quality HR administrative support across the full spectrum of the employee lifecycle, including:

· Conducting pre-employment checks for new starters (references, DBS, Right to Work in UK)

· Recruitment administration (writing and posting adverts, shortlisting, arranging interviews) 

· Absence management

· Preparation and issue of contractual documentation (including contract variations) 

· Payroll updates 

· Maternity/Paternity administration 

· Administration of performance management and improvement systems (probation, Appraisals, PIP forms)

· Termination of employment (all categories, including writing leaver documentation and conducting Exit Interviews) 

· Upkeep of electronically stored personal records 

· Conducting regular HR Audit checks to ensure integrity of data is maintained 

· Supporting the P+C Manager on all other aspects of HR administration

What we are looking for in our People & Culture Assistant:

· Experience of working in a complex administrative role within HR

· Experience of using HR/Payroll/recruitment ATS online systems

· Good numeracy and literacy skills

· Awareness of employment legislation

· Ability to effectively organise and work to tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail

· Ability to work independently and a willingness to contribute to team efficiency through sharing information and supporting others

· Experience of providing informal training/coaching to colleagues in relation to administrative tasks

· Proficient in the use of software packages and Microsoft office software

We are looking for a Product and Portfolio Manager within our Porfolio Development Team. You will have demonstrable experience in product/portfolio lifecycle management as well as a proven track record of successfully developing a cohesive portfolio strategy. Working for the Head of National Business Development, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for securing income-generating corporate partnerships to drive forward engagement across the whole Speakers for Schools proposition.

We have various opportunities and are keen to speak with any leaders with experience in private site (shopping centre etc), door-to-door or street sales.

You will have the opportunity to work with various charities, both UK based and those involved in overseas development and conservation. Some of our campaigns are regular giving and others are lottery campaigns.

As a Manager of a Zen team, you will be responsible for:

• The compliance and ethical practice of your teams
• The organisation and logistics of your teams
• The motivation and morale of your teams
• Staff retention and development
• Achieving quality and quantity goals

Reporting directly to the National Fundraising Manager, Zen will ensure that you are supported to develop and grow within the role. We have a highly experienced, devoted and caring team of managers and office staff, covering various roles such as client account management, recruitment, compliance, HR,  welcome calling, training, and administration. Zen will ensure that you are warmly welcomed and quickly feel part of the family. You will always know where to turn with a query and you will be given clear expectations and goals for the development of yourself, your career and your team.
