We have ambitious goals here at the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) and are looking for an experienced, strategic, and financially savvy Head of Finance to join us. The RCR is a charity with a focus on supporting doctors who deliver medical imaging and cancer services and we require a passionate and dynamic finance professional to helps us continue making a difference.

The Head of Finance will manage the high-performing finance team consisting of a Management Accountant, Assistant Accountant and Finance Business Partner. Sitting in the Business and Resources Directorate the team are instrumental to the successful running of the RCR. In this role you will be responsible for the operational finance function which handles accounting, financial reporting, planning and transactional activities as well as supporting longer-term strategic planning.

As a finance professional you will use your expertise to further support the RCR by delivering the organisations financial objectives and build strong working relationships with managers to equip them with the tools to make good financial decisions. Furthermore, you will support the Executive Director, Business & Resources in the delivery of effective risk management activities and reporting, lead discussions on how our financial controls and processes may need to change and adapt, shape and drive business performance to ensure your leadership of the finance function results in the delivery of excellent services.

What you’ll do:

• Lead, motivate and develop the finance team to deliver essential business services adapting and anticipating changes in business needs.
• Develop, agree and maintain a suite of internal service standards to meet business needs.
• Plan and lead the organisation’s financial budget process ensuring a comprehensive capture of business needs and advise SMT and managers.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial management accounts are produced according to appropriate standards.
• Maintain a suitable suite of business financial policies, processes and controls that meet the business needs and are compliant with legislation and external standards.
• Lead the provision of commercial advice to directors, managers and staff to ensure best practice on procurement and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the implementation of the Unloc London Strategy

• Working in partnership with the Operations Manager to ensure the delivery of the Unloc London strategy. This includes;

  • Building new relationships with local schools and colleges. 

  • Facilitating a free to access enterprise event for local schools in the borough of Westminster. 

  • Delivery of workshops and presentations, attendance at events to to promote Unloc’s programmes and initiatives to schools, colleges and community groups.

Working in partnership and building new stakeholder relationships

• Liaise and act as a primary point of contact for current key stakeholders to promote Unloc’s work. This will include Local Authorities, Education Trusts, Businesses and Community Interest Groups. 

• Implement engagement strategies to build new relationships with key stakeholders through needs assessments and stakeholder surveys to gather insights into the preferences, challenges and priorities.

• Represent Unloc in external meetings, conferences and networking opportunities. 

Organise, plan and facilitate entrepreneurial skills and career pathway projects and programmes

• Organise, plan and facilitate bespoke enterprise and career pathways events (with support from the Operations Manager) for individual businesses, grant giving bodies, schools & colleges. This generally involves designing agendas, booking speakers, managing event resources, leading individual sessions, briefing event support staff, liaising with key points of contact and managing attendance from multiple schools, colleges and partners.

Managing staff

• To line-manage multiple other members of staff in line with Unloc’s People Management Approach. This includes:

  • Providing wrap around support to individual team members when they require it.

  • Promoting a culture of excellence in programme management and facilitation.

  • Ensuring that facilitators you manage operate in line with Unloc’s policies, procedures and practices whilst instilling Unloc’s core team values.

  • Maintaining a working knowledge of each staff member’s portfolio and current progress on programmes and providing a source of accountability..

  • Holding regular check-in meetings with team members.

  • Carrying out formal progress review meetings with team members every 6 months.

  • Dealing with staff member HR requests and scenarios such as flexible working, holiday requests, sick days, etc.

  • Supporting staff members to make progress against their CPD plans.

  • Providing praise and encouragement to staff members, and formally recognising and sharing excellent practice.

Providing regular updates to management

• To provide regular (written or verbal) updates to management on current progress and achievements of individual projects you manage, this includes using and keeping each contract’s monday. com board up-to-date.

Providing additional support and opportunities for students

The Role:

The Partner Engagement Lead is responsible for key account management, and specifically developing and supporting relationships with programme sponsors and partners within the WorldGBC network.

The Partner Engagement Lead will work closely alongside the programme/projects team subject leads, taking responsibility for day to day management of activities that relate to sponsors or stakeholders, including partner relationships, external collaborations and fundraising.

Working cross-functionally within a matrix-style organisation, the Lead will work collaboratively on the engagement pillar of WorldGBC's fundraising team alongside the Partnerships Manager and the Strategic Partnerships Lead. This team coordinates closely with all WorldGBC departments, in particular where sponsors are involved with initial focus on the programme/project partners.

Well-organised and a great communicator, this individual will ensure that key relationships are managed effectively across the organisation, and be detail oriented in their reporting and accounting of opportunities. The Lead should also be willing to represent the organisation in relevant external opportunities relating to the programmes as need arises - including fundraising meetings, external working groups, events or conferences.

The Partner Engagement Lead will report to the Director of Programmes Strategy.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Account Management: Be primary point of contact for new and existing programmatic sponsors and partners, overseeing engagement with the network and accounting with detailed reporting to ensure up-to-date partnership records. Work alongside the programmatic team leads to deliver all agreed benefits to partners, ensuring a uniform balance of benefits and opportunities across sponsors engaging in all areas of the organisation.

2. Fundraising and Budget Management: Work alongside the programme leads to secure funding and manage relevant programme/project budgets (with guidance from the Director of Programmes Strategy), including supporting grant application and reporting responsibilities where necessary.

3. Stakeholder Engagement (members and partners): Engage with stakeholders to ensure that our programmes/projects align with their goals and needs, working with the Director of Programmes Strategy and wider programme team to explore best practice engagement tactics throughout 2024.

4. Subject Matter Expertise: Stay current with the latest trends in sustainable buildings and WorldGBC programme outputs, ensuring the Lead can communicate knowledgeably about WorldGBC strategy and work areas as required.

5. Communications: Support communication for WorldGBC on topics related to sustainable buildings in relevant programmatic areas, representing the team at internal or external events or industry working groups and collaborating with Marketing & Communications on accurate messaging for publications and campaigns.

6. Supporting Programmes team: Be a committed member of the WorldGBC team and offer support, training and expertise to wider members of the team. Participate and engage in wider WorldGBC campaigns, events and deliverables, such as COP, World Green Building Week and Leadership Summit.

LTSB has grown significantly over the past few years. Our work is only possible with the generosity and commitment of our supporters. You will be joining our fantastic Fundraising team who work with trusts, foundations, institutions, companies, and individuals to ensure the charity has the funds and relationships necessary to achieve our aims.

This role will be responsible for managing existing corporate partnerships, developing new corporate relationships, and developing and delivering an events programme. Events is a relatively new area for the charity and we anticipate the events programme will, in the main, support our corporate partnerships and provide a varied package of engagement opportunities for our growing base of employee volunteers. These, and other events, will help raise vital funds as well as networking and new business development opportunities. 

We’re looking for someone who has experience of a similar role/s. You will have great people skills and have experience of building and maintaining strong relationships. You will be enthusiastic, energetic and with a can-do attitude who enjoys planning and organising and is not phased with periods of high intensity. You will have a positive approach and enjoy working as part of a team.

We are seeking an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser to spearhead the Trusts and Foundations programme at the Hall. This is an exciting new role within the team who are eager to invest in this area of income and see immense potential for growth.

Building upon the current small programme, you will lead on initiating conversations with new funders and effectively convey the funding needs of the Hall and capital appeal. Your focus will be on developing and growing an engaged portfolio of trusts and foundations who share the Hall’s vision and ambitions.

As Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager, you will:

• create and coordinate the trusts and foundations strategy focused on driving growth and income;
• personally manage a portfolio of trusts, foundations and other grant funders giving 6- and 7-figure gifts, ensuring you deliver fantastic stewardship and reporting;
• oversee and develop a high value T&F pipeline, proactively cultivating and building relationships with potential funders;
• produce compelling funding proposals, applications and cases for support to secure transformational restricted and unrestricted donations;

The post-holder will lead on premises, facilities, finance and personnel and administration systems in order to support the effective delivery of CAW services to clients and management of the organisation.

Reporting to the CEO and responsible for the recruitment and management of administration volunteers, the post holder will take the lead on maintaining our office systems and processes.

This role, based in Scotland (working remotely) , is crucial in driving forward support for, engagement with, and coordination of high-quality and high-impact multi-day work experiences for high-need young people across the UK. Experts in the coordination and delivery of multi-day work experiences, working closely with UK-wide employers and education establishments in Scotland.

The starting salary for this role is £30216, rising to £32706 after a suucessful year in role.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

Strategic purpose:

• Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Experience opportunities from initial programme scoping with non-income generating employers to securing commitments, monitoring young person applications, programme design and implementation, and employer follow up.
• Nurturing relationships with existing schools and colleges in Scotland and onboarding new establishments

Employer Engagement:

• Responsible for account management of corporate partnerships as agreed by the development team
• Securing commitment from employers to deliver multi-day work experience opportunities.
• Account management for employers throughout their work experience journey.
• Supporting the account management of corporate partners by delivering on their work experience programmes as agreed by the business development team and coordinating with other programme teams to ensure committed delivery takes place.
• Training employers to use SfS products in the coordination and delivery of their placements, including but not limited to Portal and Google Classroom.
• Working closely with Delivery Partners to ensure seamless delivery of work experience opportunities.
• Leading on all employer engagement and meetings with your dedicated accounts.
• Developing and disseminating impact reports to employers at the end of their contract and in line with impact and evaluation framework.
• Working closely with Education team to ensure school engagement in areas of work experience activity and in line with charity’s target areas.

School Engagement:

• Training and supporting users to maximise the opportunity to their students accessing our programmes through our platform
• Delivering training sessions to schools and colleges on our programmes and building on engagement in Scotland.

As the Finance Business Partner for Fundraising and CAA you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient utilisation of financial resources to maximise fundraising returns and ensure efficient spend which is aligned to strategic objectives. NB. This is a full time 12-month FTC position.
