Job description

Due to expansion and growth, a professional development body is looking for a Funding Liaison Officer who will be the key communication, coordination and planning liaison between the organisation and its main funder, a government funding department.

This is a permanent position providing a generous 30 days of annual leave among other great benefits, and you will have the flexibility to select your hybrid working pattern, spending 2-3 days a week in the office and the rest remote.

As the Funding Liaison Officer, you will work closely with the Deputy CEO and with other senior post holders who engage on a regular basis with the funder. You will develop and maintain professional relationships with the funder, including the Policy and Commercial teams, ensuring that engagement with funders aligns with the organisation's strategic plans, and you will be the point of contact for the organisation for any funder queries as well as handle ad hoc requests from the funder.

You will also be coordinating a varied range of key activities related to funding, including the coordination of all stages of the signed off Grant Offer Letters, addenda and contracts, as well as coordination of funder meetings, internal planning review meetings, and the delivery and reporting of internal governance frameworks.

You will have the following skills and experience:

* Excellent relationship building skills with senior staff, ideally with government officials and departments
* Confident in building relationships and collaborating with colleagues at all levels of the organisation
* Experience and proficiency in managing or supporting the delivery of publicly funded projects or programmes
* Experience and proficiency in diary management and coordination
