The role gives a rare opportunity to someone who is enthusiastic to make a difference in this unique space and have a significant impact on both sufferers and healthcare professionals. As charity manager you will need a varied skillset including being able to build and nurture relationships, manage a small team of staff, develop new income streams, create, and develop imaginative projects and use innovative technology to boost the aims and objectives of the charity.
What you would do
Account management of existing and new relationships in the charity sector. • Research and write grant applications. • Support in making decisions and advise on the charity spend. • Work with the BHUK team to tell the story of ‘Bladder Health UK’ via its communication channels. • Support hosting and organising charity events. • Manage the general cashflow for the charity including reporting from a finance perspective. • Work on a multitude of projects throughout the year. • Outreach to relevant charities that the charity wants to work with and build long lasting, meaningful relationships with them. •. • Maintain all contracts, mailing lists, ensuring IT systems are kept up to date, and are compliant. • Manage ongoing governance of the charity, including developing and maintaining policy documents such as our grant making policy, conflict of interest processes, procedures and register, risk management policy and register. • Maintain charity commission register records. You will also be expected to be able to provide and present regular reports to the Trustees on the finance and operational activity of the charity.
To succeed in this post, it is essential that you have:
- Have been involved in charity campaign work previously.
- Have experience in charity operations and governance.
- Have sales /marketing/fundraising experience.
- Be able to multi-task in a busy environment.
- Can demonstrate effective communication skills with ability to liaise with different audiences and be effective at developing long-lasting relationships.
- Evidence that you are highly organised and great with time management.
- Have experience developing social media, websites, and webinars to promote, inform and educate.
It would be desirable that you:
- Have either a clinical background or experience in urology issues.

This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. It is specifically expected that the role will allow for flexible scheduling to accommodate other responsibilities, including caring.
The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. For the UK's largest not-for-profit social enterprise in the employment and social mobility sector, we are recruiting a Senior Finance Manager. This role will provide high quality financial information and analysis to senior managers and external stakeholders supporting decision-making. This is a highly commercial role, which is key in ensuring service quality is maximised, and financial performance targets are achieved. Main Duties:
- Budgeting and Cost Control - Lead divisional budget setting and forecasting process
- Coordinate monthly key variance summary in financial performance and KPIs for senior management

They are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to support the management team to use financial information to plan and run services and the organisation on a part-time basis (15 hours a week) for up to 6 months.

You will liaise with the Senior Management Team, Budget holders and the external Finance operations provider. You will manage the contract for the day-to-day financial operations and work with the outsourced finance team to clear backlogs of sales invoices (working with SMT project leads), finalise raising invoices process/ sales invoice timetable, establish petty cash reconciliation process, establish new system for expenses and coordinate payment runs. You will also complete monthly pension contribution submissions and contribute to the production of financial statements and the delivery of a successful audit . This role requires proven experience of using insight and analysis to provide trends, inform and drive business decisions and experience of formulating, overseeing and reporting on operational plans, including KPIs.

Finance and Operations Manager - 4 or 5 days a week - Fully remote - one year contract
An exciting opportunity has come up to work for a circa £1million turnover association. This is a newly created role, where you will be working very closely with reporting to the CEO.
This is a fully remote role, offering a salary between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum with 30% non contributory pension. My client is open to candidates looking to work 4 days a week, where the salary will be prorated.
This is a very hands-on Finance role overseeing the HR and the IT infrastructure. The role provides support to the Board ensuring the organisation is charity compliant in all its work. The organisation has grown rapidly recently, receiving a number of grants, and this role will help provide assurance regarding their administration and on reporting.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Maintain a suitable business planning model covering long term cash flow forecasts
- Ensure annual Statutory Accounts are completed in adherence with UK accounting standards
- Develop and maintain adequate financial control systems and procedures
- Develop an effective IT strategy and ensure service levels are set and maintained with external IT suppliers
- Ensure that the organisation complies to relevant regulations for data protection and data security
- Day-to-day oversight of the finance function
- Support project officers with grant management and reporting
- Produce monthly management accounts and prepare the finance part of the annual report
- Main contact for accountants who audit and lead on preparing required documents

- Finance Business Partner for the charities retail operations (budget approx. £22m)
- FP&A team/resource planning and manager of analysis team
- Overall responsibility for production of management accounts working with the Head of Finance.
- Deliver a finance business partner function for Retail operations, supporting senior management in Retail and Finance and developing a deep knowledge of the business, detailed cost structures (including salaries) and income streams
- Meet regularly with the retail team to discuss and understand financial results and business strategy and planning
- Oversee the production and monitoring of budgets and provide constructive challenge to understand budget, forecast and actual results
- Responsible (with assistance from the FP&A analysis team) for production of detailed and timely management information for the retail team on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
