About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team.  Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams. 

If you think you have the skills, qualities and drive to fulfil this role, but don’t meet all of the specifications, or perhaps you’ve gained your experience in (for example) commercial sales or within relationships management and are looking to move into development work, we would still welcome hearing from you. What does the role involve?

· Managing the relationship with our website development agency. Making recommendations for areas of improvement and further development.

· Managing our analytics and other insight platforms to ensure that we collect robust data and can make informed, evidence-based recommendations to ensure we’re using digital to deliver against the Foundation’s strategic objectives.

· Support and develop the implementation of an SEO strategy for our website content to ensure that our audiences can find our content.

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?

· Ability to interpret complex requirements and user needs and make recommendations of implementable solutions.

· Knowledge of the fundamental of Agile and Scrum

· Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Looker Studio)

· Analytical skills with the ability to effectively capture, process and interpret information and make actionable, evidence-based recommendations.

How you will make a difference

As Business Development and Engagement Manager within the Workplace Mental Health & Training team, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth, partnerships, and engagement from corporate and community settings for both Mental Health UK and Rethink Mental Illness. You will work to secure funding from a wide range of sources, including commercial activity, public sector contracts and grant funding, to allow our work to continue and grow.

Working in our National Programmes team, you will ensure that we evaluate, plan for and respond effectively to bids and tenders, lead on the development of proposals, and support service delivery teams in implementing successful tenders/proposals. You will manage a Senior Business Development Officer who supports our work in positioning the organisation to respond to new bids and tenders and, where required, support the implementation of new services.

*Appointments will be at the minimum of the band.

Role Summary     

With Alcohol Change UK’s innovative Try Dry® app welcoming more users than ever before, we are excited to be developing our offer to Local Authorities which will benefit from receiving valuable local health data trends and insights taken from our app. This role will be instrumental in designing a refreshed product, recruiting new Local Authorities to join us and providing ongoing support to them to make a real difference to those drinking at risky levels in communities across the UK.   

Key Tasks and Responsibilities   

Development of a Try Dry local product   

• With the Senior Digital Programme Manager, take learnings from existing contracts with Local Authorities and develop a refreshed package of support to market to Local Authorities, enabling them to gain valuable insights into the drinking behaviours of people in their local area  

• Develop professional, standardised reports to be shared with those who have signed up   

• Develop a ‘package’ of benefits (access to local data, insights, tailored marketing materials, additional support) that makes signing up a more compelling offer   

• Working with our digital agency, recommend ongoing technical improvements to the app and reporting platform to improve user experience   

Recruiting to a Try Dry Local ‘network’  

• Recruit new Local Authority members to our Try Dry ‘network’ – presenting regularly to Local Authority clients and demonstrating the benefits of membership through presentations and marketing calls   

• With support from other staff, develop wider marketing approaches across multiple channels, including digital, print and social media advertising  

• Attend conferences, events and trade shows to advertise as appropriate  

• Work with colleagues in our Consultancy and Training team to explore opportunities for cross promotion   

 Relationship Management   

• Provide ongoing support to Local Authority clients, acting as a first point of contact    

• Prepare data reports for each Local Authority throughout the year  

• Share insights into local data in engaging, easy to understand ways   

Wider support for the Communications and Marketing team   

• Enable other members of staff to use insights from the Try Dry® app and local user data in their work, evidencing the difference that our Behaviour Change interventions can make to individuals   

• Support the development of a range of content to highlight the benefits of the Try Dry® app, particularly around key campaigns such as Dry January, Alcohol Awareness Week and Sober Spring  

• Particularly during our Dry January campaign period (December – January) provide additional support for the team across a range of roles

• Support the Senior Digital Programme Manager to monitor income and expenditure for the Try Dry Local programme

About the Role

MSI is in the process of rolling out a Global Data Warehouse (GDW) using the Microsoft Modern Data Warehouse (MDW) suite of applications, principally Azure Synapse, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, Power Apps and Power BI. The aim is to produce a single repository of global data, and to improve & modernise MSI’s reporting, ensuring it is fit for both Global Head Office and the Country Programmes’ strategies and operating models.

This is a 12-month fixed term role to act as a technical expert within the BI Reporting team on the GDW project. The successful candidate will report into the Project’s technical lead assisting with the design, development and delivery of requirements as prioritised by the Project Board.

• 5+ years’ experience developing BI solutions, some of which was using Microsoft’s Modern Data Warehouse suite of applications
• Experience in implementing PySpark transformations and actions
• Experience in establishing and managing on-premises data connections, between on-premises databases and cloud-based environments.
• Knowledge of data gateway configurations to facilitate seamless communication between on-premises and cloud data sources.
• Experience of training system administrators to maintain solutions
• Experience of training end users to use solutions
• Experience of working to tight deadlines and managing conflicting priorities.

For almost 50 years we have campaigned on behalf of our members and survivors to shape policy and practice, and to raise awareness of domestic abuse.

Purpose of the Business Development Manager role: 

As Business Development Manager, the successful candidate will play an integral role in generating income for the charity – securing high value corporate partnerships and working on product development in collaboration with service delivery teams. Working close with the Head of Business Development, the post holder will source and secure new business and funding to enable the organisation to sustain and further develop our services and further our mission. Alongside targeting prospecting techniques, the Business Development Manager will need an understanding of financial management, and strong influencing skills to harness the support of the wider organisation to meet its objectives – working towards a team income generation target that is reviewed and updated annually. 

 Key duties and responsibilities of Business Development Manager:

• Identifying, researching and developing new business opportunities, creating robust business cases and resource plan to support proposals.
• Writing high quality bids and funding applications.
• Delivering a new Account Management approach for corporates, working to bring together existing functions across the organisation in one place.
• Working with the Head of Business Development to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline. Reporting on sales, pipeline and activity.
• Territory planning to define how income targets will be achieved, with documented action plans.
• Working creatively with colleagues across the organisation and with decision makers at partner organisations to demonstrate how working with Women’s Aid delivers measurable business benefits and ROI.
• Identify and build strong partnerships/products that bring us substantial routes to markets, including public sector agencies.

What we are looking for in our Business Development Manager:

• Experience in business development or corporate partnerships background.
• Good understanding of how to generate income in a charity organisation, with experience of income targets in previous organisations.
• Experience of developing and implementing strategies and ways of working.
• Excellent communication skills, evidenced by building and maintaining long-term corporate strategic partnerships.
• Good understanding of digital tools and the ability to analyse data (CRM systems and method and excellent understanding of excel).
• Organised and strong project manager, confident in solving problems and securing financial targets.
• Team player with strong inter-personal skills.

Green Finance Manager

This role sits in the Trust’s Business Development/Nature Based Solutions (NBS) team, an innovative new team focused on county wide recovery and green finance investment within the county of Surrey. This role will also manage the Trusts internal and external processes around Green Finance and drive forward investment in nature at a landscape level.  

As a senior role reporting into the Director of Business Development and Partnerships; practical experience of green finance including biodiversity net gain is essential; experience will also need to include demonstrable examples of project managing medium/large scale projects, contract management, financial analysis and working in a fast paced environment.

About the role

Becoming the Programme Marketing Manager at the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women is a fantastic opportunity to help drive progress for women entrepreneurs in low and middle income countries by engaging more people in our work.

The key purpose of this role is to effectively market our programmes to participants – chiefly our HerVenture business skills microlearning app and our sector-leading Mentoring Women in Business programme.

This will span three main projects:

· to successfully manage a marketing agency to effectively market the HerVenture app to women in South Africa (as part of a fixed-term project with active marketing ongoing until Mar ‘25);

· to successfully manage the same marketing agency to promote the app in Nigeria (as part of a separate fixed-term project with active marketing ongoing until Dec ‘24); and

· to effectively promote the opportunity to become a mentor to a woman entrepreneur through our Mentoring Women in Business programme to paying professionals worldwide. Your objective will be to secure 18+ paid mentors for the Nov ’24 programme intake and 20+ for the May ’25 intake.

Following the completion of the two HerVenture marketing projects, you will also lead other programme marketing initiatives in 2025. These will be determined in late 2024.

Following the May ’25 Mentoring intake you will deliver a strategy, harnessing your learning and analysis to outline an approach for marketing the programme to paying mentors in future.

You will also be called on to support other forms of programme marketing on an ad hoc basis, for example advising on development of corporate pitch decks, or co-designing materials for fundraising events.

This position reports directly to the Head of Communications and Marketing, however this is a highly collaborative role and you will also work closely with the Entrepreneurship programmes team and the Programme Funding team to develop and deliver plans and manage projects.

Our ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable and motivated marketer with experience in ‘selling’ professional development / online volunteering opportunities, and in managing agencies and contractors to deliver on fixed projects as aligned to good marketing practices. You should be highly organised and goals-driven, with a collaborative approach, a growth-oriented mindset, and a strong desire to harness the power of marketing to support women’s economic empowerment.

The role: Fundraising Manager

We are seeking a Fundraising Manager with a passion for our mission, who will build positive relationships to secure significant income, working together to harness the power of adventure to create lasting change and transform communities for all.

This is a new role, leading our small but growing Fundraising Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the successful candidate will oversee all fundraising income generation activity and lead on our Major Donor Giving Programme. A typical week could involve meeting with prospective donors, developing a case for support for a new stream of work, supporting team members to develop their own fundraising skills, and working with other departments to raise awareness of Bendrigg’s work.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned fundraiser to join and lead a forward-thinking and inclusive team and develop Bendrigg’s fundraising to support our new Strategic Plan. This opportunity is open to those wishing to work remotely (there would be an expectation to attend the office for a minimum of 2 weeks during the induction process, and thereafter at least 3 days per month throughout the year), looking for a hybrid working pattern or wanting to be fully office-based. The role is full time, however part-time on a minimum of 0.8FTE would be considered for the ideal candidate.

Working for the Head of National Business Development, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for securing income-generating corporate partnerships to drive forward engagement across the whole Speakers for Schools proposition.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

Strategic Purpose:

• Developing outreach strategies to secure corporate partnerships in support of the Charity’s aims and goals.
