Working with different teams across the charity, you’ll be planning, managing and delivering direct marketing campaigns across a range of media including digital and print. You’ll also work with external agencies on our face-to-face fundraising campaigns. Activities in the acquisition portfolio are diverse; from developing the donor’s online user journey to delivering motivational training to fundraisers across the country, your campaigns will drive income and attract new, engaged supporters to the charity.
As well as running the day-to-day campaign activity, the post holder will be responsible for compiling regular reports, across a range of financial and non-financial KPIs. Alongside this, they will ensure compliance and adherence to the most recent regulations and codes of practice is top of the agenda.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Campaign Management
· Plan, manage and deliver successful campaigns across a range of channels including face-to-face, digital and print.
· Successful management of fundraising agencies and suppliers; ensuring relationships are effective and productive.
· Deliver motivational fundraiser training and develop engaging fundraiser materials with agency stakeholders to ensure high-quality fundraising.
· Ensure compliance and adherence to regulation and codes of practice is considered in all campaign activities, to include mystery shopping and call listening.
· Work closely with Data and Digital teams to ensure effective processes are worked to and full campaign evaluation is possible.
· Donation page monitoring, reporting and development, to include looking at ways in which to improve the donor’s online user journey.
· Continuous improvement through test and learn principles across all activities.
· Integration of campaigns across the charity to drive maximum value.
· Development of compelling communications and materials to support all activities.
Planning and Budgeting
· KPI tracking, trend analysis and interrogation of results at all levels.
· Live programme optimisation to ensure targets are met.
· Input to annual planning and development of individual giving campaigns.
· Assist Direct Marketing Manager with compilation of detailed income and expenditure campaign budgets.
· Work with Direct Marketing Manager in developing the Acquisition programme and strategy.
· Input to monthly forecasting and regular reporting across a range of financial and non-financial KPI’s.
Finance and Reporting
· Ensure daily campaign tracking and reporting.
· Routine end of campaign reviews and analysis.
· Ongoing reporting on long-term success measures such as attrition and ROI.
· Invoice reconciliation and processing for timely payment.
· Non-financial KPI trend reporting - such as opt-in rates and quality scoring.

Additional Information:

About the role
This is a new role for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity as we look to expand our successful Individual Giving & Lottery programmes.
The post holder will deliver quality fundraising campaigns, including Cash Appeals, Regular Giving and Lottery that will grow income, supporter base and lifetime value. Our programme supporting Higher Technical Education has big ambitions. Purpose of Job:
The postholder plays a key role in managing the alumni network, with a specific emphasis on events and volunteer management, to actively engage alumni and stakeholders with Queen Mary’s Grammar School. To develop relevant media and social media contacts, as well as contacts in the sector, to maximise the reach and coverage of key communications campaigns as well as wider organisational projects.

To work with colleagues to ensure the campaigns take an intersectional approach and centres the most marginalised voices.

To work with a diverse range of survivor case studies and media spokespeople, including Women’s Aid member organisations, and to ensure they are treated in an appropriate and safe manner.

To help identify both proactive and reactive media opportunities.

To write blogs, news articles and promotional copy for Women’s Aid.

To proof and typeset publications as required.

To be part of the communications team out-of-hours on call rota for media calls.

To line manage the Junior Communications Officer
What we are looking for in our Senior Communications Officer:
-
At least two years experience working in communications/journalism/publications or similar.
-
Experience of liaising with a variety of individuals and organisations of all seniorities, internally and externally.
-
Experience of maintaining systems for information storage and retrieval.
-
Experience of online communications/websites/social media, including Content Management Systems.
-
Experience delivering public-facing campaigns with a range of stakeholders.
-
Experience in getting effective PR results.
-
Ability to produce high quality written material, for copy writing, copy editing and publicity materials, posters and press releases.
-
Capable of translating complex information into audience-friendly messages.
-
Ability to carry out a range of research and information-gathering activities.
-
IT skills, including accurate data inputting skills, ability to use Microsoft programmes, understanding of Content Management Systems and troubleshooting simple website problems, and willingness to learn new packages and IT skills as required.

Ability to communicate sensitively with survivors of domestic violence to discuss case studies.

Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise work, work to tight deadlines and respond to urgent unplanned demands.

An understanding of public affairs and the role that campaigning plays.
