Purpose of the Senior Community Fundraising Officer role:
As Senior Community Fundraising Officer, the successful candidate will play an integral role in overseeing all income generation via community fundraising. The purpose of this post is to feed into strategy, providing guidance and direction to ensure that Community Fundraising continues to grow as an area of income and that all Community Fundraisers receive high-quality support and stewardship.
Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Community Fundraising Officer:

Developing and maintaining a strong network of working relationships with individual fundraisers and supporters.

Taking responsibility for income generation from various sources including:
- physical fundraising challenges
- non-physical fundraising events
- educational institutions
- community groups
- celebration fundraising (e.g. birthdays and weddings)

Ensuring oversight of Women’s Aid’s annual flagship fundraising event, the 1.7 Challenge, and any other mass fundraising events.
What we are looking for in our Senior Community Fundraising Officer:

At least 2 years’ experience of working in a professional fundraising role.

Experience of managing a portfolio of fundraising events for community fundraising.

Experience of working within a team and individually to achieve success; meeting or exceeding your financial targets.

Demonstrable experience of initiating cross-team working to achieve financial goals.

Experience of using a CRM database, such as Raiser’s Edge, Access Charity CRM, or Sales Force, to target and segment supporters.

Any experience of developing fundraising strategies for working with educational institutions, community fundraisers and faith groups is also desirable.

We are looking for a capable, proactive person to support the programme from initial mobilisation through to an eventual large-scale trial. The Senior Programme Support Officer will support the Head of Programmes to develop, mobilise and deliver Building Futures. The Role
As an experienced campaign manager and copy-writer, you will support the Experience team to develop and deliver marketing approaches and journey communications, primarily for beneficiary and health/social care professional audiences. As Local Mobilisation Officer, you will support the delivery of our ambitious programme to mobilise food banks in the Trussell network to campaign for change. You will support the development and delivery of campaign content and resources for our food bank network, leading on specific elements as required and ensuring people with lived experience are at the heart of their campaigning. Raising Futures Kenya is an award-winning small UK charity, working closely alongside a wonderful partner NGO in Kenya to deliver a hugely successful vocational training and business skills programme called Seed of Hope.
Since 2002 Seed of Hope has supported over 4,000 disadvantaged young people aged 14-25 in Kenya with the opportunity to learn a skilled trade, computer skills and business skills. We are looking for a talented storyteller and writer to join our small team in the UK and create exceptional content. You’ll support with crafting engaging funding applications, which stand out from the crowd and capture the funders hearts. You’ll create bright and positive social media and blog posts to share the uplifting stories of students and graduates from Seed of Hope and grow our online supporter base, in turn increasing our donors.

You will be a highly organised and motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
