Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. For almost 50 years we have campaigned on behalf of our members and survivors to shape policy and practice, and to raise awareness of domestic abuse.
Purpose of the Senior Community Fundraising Officer role:
As Senior Community Fundraising Officer, the successful candidate will play an integral role in overseeing all income generation via community fundraising. The purpose of this post is to feed into strategy, providing guidance and direction to ensure that Community Fundraising continues to grow as an area of income and that all Community Fundraisers receive high-quality support and stewardship.
Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Community Fundraising Officer:

Line-managing, leading and supporting a team of 2 Community Fundraising Officers

Developing and maintaining a strong network of working relationships with individual fundraisers and supporters.

Taking responsibility for income generation from various sources including:
- physical fundraising challenges
- non-physical fundraising events
- educational institutions
- community groups
- celebration fundraising (e.g. birthdays and weddings)

Ensuring oversight of Women’s Aid’s annual flagship fundraising event, the 1.7 Challenge, and any other mass fundraising events.
What we are looking for in our Senior Community Fundraising Officer:

At least 2 years’ experience of working in a professional fundraising role.

Experience of managing a portfolio of fundraising events for community fundraising.

Experience of working within a team and individually to achieve success; meeting or exceeding your financial targets.

Demonstrable experience of initiating cross-team working to achieve financial goals.

Experience of using a CRM database, such as Raiser’s Edge, Access Charity CRM, or Sales Force, to target and segment supporters.

Any experience of developing fundraising strategies for working with educational institutions, community fundraisers and faith groups is also desirable.

We're doing this by supporting people to maximise their incomes, providing support and advice where needed, and campaigning for change in areas that directly affect food bank use.
As Campaigns Manager for the Whitehawk Foodbank, you will be responsible for growing and leading a
volunteer team to develop and deliver local influencing strategies through the Foodbank, organising the
local community to campaign for change. You will be the link between the Foodbank and the Organising
and Local Mobilisation (OLM) team at Trussell Trust as we build a movement to end the need for food
banks.
Specific Responsibilities:
• To develop and manage a team of volunteers including people with lived experience of
accessing a food bank. You will be building and distributing leadership across the team and
within the Foodbank to work on local influencing to reduce poverty and the need for food banks.
• To explore and understand the experiences that are driving people to need to access support
from the food bank, working with food bank staff and volunteers through listening activities and
research.
• To map out and build relationships with partners of the food bank, including referral agencies
and local anti-poverty organisations. To engage these partners in identifying the local drivers of
poverty.
• To identify a local issue driving poverty, build a campaign team and develop a strategy to build
power and win change, working with food bank staff and volunteers.

Citizens UK’s Migrant and Refugee Organising (MaRO) team is looking for the right person to learn the craft of Community Organising under the guidance of an experienced Community Organiser. Citizens UK is a people power alliance of diverse local communities working together for the common good. We aim to develop leaders, strengthen civic organisations and make change. Our 550 member communities are deeply rooted in their local areas and connect every day to the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. Through the method of community organising we enable people experiencing powerlessness to develop their leadership and come together with the power and strategy to make change.
This leads to hundreds of neighbourhood improvements - from zebra crossings outside primary schools to renovated public toilets in cemeteries. And it leads to some of the biggest campaign impacts in the UK, such as winning over £2 billion of wages through the UK Living Wage campaign, securing a legal cap on the cost of credit to control exploitative lending, and ending the detention of children for immigration purposes. We enable local campaigns to grow into large-scale social change projects such as the Living Wage Foundation, Parent Action, and Sponsor Refugees, that form an integral part of our theory of change. Liverpool Citizens
Liverpool Citizens will be one of the newest chapters of Citizens UK. It has a current membership of seventeen diverse civil society organisations who are committed to working together for the common good. The independent alliance will train civil society leaders to run winning campaigns on a range of issues affecting people’s lives. The alliance is yet to agree its priority campaigns but early emerging themes include the cost of living, housing, and transport among others.
Purpose
As a Senior Organiser for Liverpool Citizens, you will bring communities together to drive change. This role will work closely with local civic institutions, such as churches, mosques, synagogues, schools, universities, housing associations, NHS Trusts, and community groups to:
· develop the leadership of people within those organisations - the 'leaders' who lead the campaigns we work on
· help them identify the changes they want to see and create strategies to win those changes
· strengthen organisations’ own abilities to achieve their missions.
This includes listening to members of the community to find common issues and then planning strategy and action to engage decision-makers to hold them to account. All of this work is underpinned by the knowledge that everyday people have the ability to shape the world around them. This work will be rooted locally, but you will be a part of a bigger national drive to make change alongside diverse local alliances across the UK.
Main Responsibilities
Working as the Senior Organiser in Liverpool for Citizens UK your main responsibilities will be to:

About this role

Role Purpose
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP) is supported by the Volunteering Matters family. RSVP is a volunteer-led project that encourages, facilitates, and supports older people aged 50+ to keep active by volunteering in their community.
RSVP believe by volunteering and using their life experience and skills, older people are less likely to be socially isolated and suffer from poor mental and physical health and wellbeing. RSVP groups are coordinated by a team of Volunteer Organisers. Current activities include volunteering within NHS hospitals and schools, charitable knitting groups, walking groups, and a Handyperson scheme. Over 1000 older people have engaged over the last 21 years.
We are looking for a Development Worker who can work flexibly, is driven, and is passionate about supporting older people to volunteer in their community. It is important that the post holder can commit to our organisational values – being Compassionate, Empowering, Inclusive, Positive and Straightforward.
The coronavirus pandemic caused major disruption to RSVP. Risks to older people meant that our volunteers were asked, overnight, to shield at home. RSVP activities closed for a prolonged period of time. While these have since re-launched, a significant number of Organisers and Volunteers have not returned to volunteering.
As our Development Worker, you will provide staff support to re-build RSVP activities across Forth Valley. You will help to decrease social isolation and loneliness, and improve older people’s mental health and wellbeing, by engaging them in regular, ongoing volunteering roles suited to their needs and interests.
You will work closely with a small team of Volunteer Organisers, supporting and empowering them to deliver and develop RSVP activities across Forth Valley.
Over the next year, we aim to engage a minimum of 60 new volunteers in our activities across Forth Valley. You will lead a volunteer recruitment campaign while also developing and implementing sustainable infrastructure for the future such as Organiser guides, and other volunteering and project resources. These local resources will supplement the nationally developed “RSVP toolkit” and resource materials already available.
This role is funded by the Community Mental Health and Wellbeing fund, in Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire.
Key Duties

· Experience in public engagement - communications, fundraising and/or marketing - role(s) within the INGO sector.
· Experience in building and developing use of traditional, new and emerging media channels, technologies and tools especially digital media.
· Experience in visual and other forms of content gathering, curation and dissemination ideally in an international context.
· Experience of managing, overseeing, guiding and coordinating the work of others.
· Proven track record as a project manager, operating within a team with budgetary responsibility and delivering results across a range of activities.
· Experience of managing, building, guiding, training and influencing teams to work collaboratively to a high standard.
· Experience of developing creative brand awareness, fundraising and other marketing campaigns for a variety of audiences.
· Experience of working with multiple stakeholders, within an environment of competing deadlines.
· Understanding of the range of audiences that Islamic Relief wants to communicate with
· Understanding of the purposes, strategies and tools for gathering content for use across range of communications media.
· Demonstrate and continuously develops knowledge of the latest technology for content gathering or curation.
· Fluent written and spoken English. Working knowledge of Arabic, French or Spanish is advantageous.
· Demonstrate strong relationship-building skills; the ability to establish effective working relationships with people of all working styles and backgrounds.
· Sound financial and resource management skills that ensure that goals can be achieved
within budgetary constraints.
· Exceptional team-working and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively consult, listen to and influence others as well as the ability to work across different cultures with individuals who face competing demands.

Finance Business Partnering is an enabling function, providing solutions, financial insight and intelligence to support and constructively challenge the organisation to help achieve its objectives, underpinned by strong financial management. Reporting into the Head of Finance and Deputy s151, these posts will provide strategic senior and operational capacity, and will have management responsibility for their respective finance business partnering teams for delivery of Service Excellence.

Walsall is situated within the West Midlands and is one of four Local Authorities comprising the Black Country. It contains six urban district centres: Walsall Town Centre lies at the heart of the Borough, surrounded by Aldridge, Bloxwich, Brownhills, Darlaston and Willenhall. The Borough covers 40sq miles and is bisected by the M6 motorway.

The key duties of these roles are as follows:
- Ensure the Councils Finance Business Partnering service is fit for purpose in order to deliver on all aspects of operational financial management.
- Operate at a strategic level, building strong relationships with internal and external partners and being a key and active member of senior management forums.
- Financial oversight for all duties required under the CIPFA compliance framework including financial forecasting, business cases, modelling, budget setting and Final account preparation for the teams under the roles remit.
- Drive and support the delivery of productivity and efficiency improvement across the Council.
- Ensure the provision of high quality advice, information, interpretation and solutions to budget holders to underpin effective decision making and meaningful performance management.
- Maximise new and existing funding streams realise efficiency savings and to deliver the councils aims.
- Influence and drive cultural change towards improved financial management through managing resources, outputs, performance and risk in the achievement of outcomes.
The successful candidate will have:
- Full CCAB or equivalent qualification, with evidence of continued professional development.
- Post qualification experience in a large/complex organisation.
- Ideally, a background working in a local authority, although candidates without will still be considered.
- Extensive experience of strategic and operational planning.
- Substantial leadership and management experience including proven experience in leading and motivating a team to deliver accurate and timely information.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate to people at all levels.
- Enthusiastic and proven ability to establish and continue good working relationships.
- Ability to understand new concepts and translate business objectives into strategic and operation activity.
- Substantial ability to design, understand and maintain complex financial information and models.
