The Volunteering Team is responsible for the recruitment, training, and ongoing support of volunteers at Battersea, and further promoting our inclusive environment and ensuring that our volunteers are involved in all aspects of our work, are valued for their commitment, and recognised for the extraordinary things they do for us.

We are seeking a Volunteer Services Manager to provide leadership, guidance and development to this Volunteering Team and act as an ambassador for volunteering across all Battersea centres and externally. They will have overall responsibility for recruitment and development of volunteers, policies and processes relating to volunteer involvement, and lead in increasing the standard of the volunteering experience across the organisation and creating new opportunities, in all areas of our work.

About the role

We’re recruiting for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to steer us in the next stage of our journey. This is an exciting development of an existing role at Overcoming MS and will allow the successful candidate to make the position their own.

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for delivering an innovative new digital marketing approach, through the innovation, creation and delivery of projects and activities which increase leads, donations and engagement for Overcoming MS charity.

 Key Responsibilities

The Digital Marketing Manager will work across several areas, including:

1. Conversion optimisation

· Increasing our donations and data capture - to enable us to continue the dialogue and create donations from a greater percentage of those who visit our website, or interact with other digital channels.

· Working with our agency partner to optimise key landing pages and signposting for conversion.

2. User journey optimisation

· Helping people find the right content based on data optimisations so that more people find what they need and understand what else the charity could offer them. Using HotJar for insights.

· Automated email journeys - Building customer journeys to support the Program pillars to build deeper relationships with people in our community.

3. Increasing reach and traffic generation

· Testing different low-cost digital reach opportunities.

· Including paid social, referral activities, calls to action across our channels, YouTube SEO and SEM. Working with an agency to optimise journeys from Google Grant, leading to clearly articulated actions (eg donations, sign-ups, click-throughs).

4. Testing to improve results continually 

· Email AB testing - Deliver AB testing to inform future email AB tests.

· Plan AB testing for email marketing projects, for the website, and other projects as needed to improve conversion rates.

5. Digital project management

· Testing new digital versions of courses and tools. Project management of website updates.

6. Campaign support

· Leading, innovating and supporting advocacy, communications and fundraising campaigns as needed to increase reach, engagement and conversions.

7. Gathering community feedback

· Continue the plan to access regular community feedback to influence Hub improvements and other digital channel improvements.

8. Supplier collaboration

· Working with our suppliers to optimise collaboration, reduce cost and increase impact.

About you

Strong digital skills

• A proven track record of managing digital products/projects/programmes which create value for end-users. 
• Strong working knowledge and experience in digital solutions.
• Experience in evaluating and improving existing digital programs.
• Significant experience working with 3rd party digital providers to create solutions that work for the target audience.
• Confident in Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Excellent understanding of AB testing to maximise conversion rates.
• Experience in using tools like HotJar (preferred).
• Strong analysis skills. 

Project management skills

• Excellent organisational, planning, prioritisation and time management skills with an ability to work to deadlines and change priorities when needed. 
• Expertise in using and implementing relevant project management methodologies and tools. 
• Ability to proactively mitigate risks and overcome barriers to implementing solutions.

Battersea is here for every dog and cat, and has been since 1860. Our multiple award-winning Income Generation department raises around 60% of the Charity’s total income, allowing us to continue to grow to make sure we can be here for every cat and dog, now and in the future.

Our Direct Marketing Team is part of this department, and recruits and develops supporters. We are seeking a Direct Marketing Officer to join this team to manage and deliver a series of high standard direct marketing campaigns across our Regular Giving programme. This individual will be recruiting, retaining and upgrading regular donors to generate income through a variety of direct marketing methods such as direct dialogue, DRTV, digital, and direct mail. They will be encouraging regular monthly gifts or support via one of our main products such as general Regular Giving and Sponsorship, our Lottery, Value Exchange programme and other methods of committed giving as they arise.

Assistance Dogs UK acts as an umbrella body for accredited assistance dog organisations. The Charity seeks to advance the education of the public and service providers about assistance dogs, and the rights of people who rely on them.

ADUK is a small but growing charity hoping to make a big impact for our already highly engaged members. Members work with us collaboratively to share their experience and knowledge, and this enables us to meet our charitable objectives and advance the industry. 

ADUK is looking for an experienced and dedicated professional to be part of our ambitious team at a key time for the charity.  In this new role, our Policy and Campaigns Manager will develop our policy positions and further our campaigning aims to promote standards-based approaches to the training and welfare of assistance dogs, and to facilitate better access for all those who rely on these highly trained dogs.

People living with Parkinson's need to have their voice heard in Scotland to ensure their health and care needs are met.  Following an investment in our services, support and work with the NHS, we are also expanding our campaigning and policy work across Scotland and the rest of the UK.

We’re looking for someone special with experience of campaigning, including an understanding of its basic tools and techniques, experience of interpreting complex policy issues for a public audience, and knowledge of the Scottish political and public policy landscape. 

About the role 

You’ll support our national and local campaigning work across Scotland to improve the lives of people with Parkinson’s and those closest to them. As part of our dynamic and committed Scotland team, you’ll listen to the needs of our local communities and work with colleagues across the charity to deliver focussed political campaigning work. 

You’ll work with  our community to raise awareness and increase knowledge about Parkinson’s with decision makers at a local and national level. You’ll use your knowledge of public policy in Scotland and the UK to make sure that the voices of people with Parkinson’s, their partners, family members and friends are heard, and help to drive changes that improve their lives. 

What you’ll do:

• Be a first point of contact for campaigners in Scotland, who want to improve services in their local area, and recruit and manage a sustainable network of local campaign volunteers specific to Scotland.

• Support the work of the Policy and Campaigns Manager to understand and influence UK wide and Scottish specific legislation, policy and practice relating to our communities and their needs

• Provide expert advice and support to colleagues and campaigners on how best to influence decision makers in Scotland.

• Use our UK-wide campaign priorities to deliver national and local campaign activity, and coordinate campaigns with other charities and organisations, where appropriate to further our goals.

What you’ll bring:

• Strong people skills, and a commitment to putting the experiences and needs of people affected by Parkinson’s at the centre of your work

We’ve grown a lot over the last 15 years and our weekly community meals now run in more than 85 towns and cities across England and Wales. This role is vitally important in supporting our growth - we have plans to reach 100 Community Meal Projects by the end of this year as well as launching new initiatives that will help us support more families and children. 

The post holder will work closely with the Head of Marketing and the wider marketing team to develop campaigns and plans that will get as many people as possible talking about FoodCycle’s work, enhance our visibility and become the leaders in delivering and promoting community dining. 

You will have experience working within media or PR, with a track record of securing high quality media coverage. You will have knowledge of the media landscape, and the ability to craft a press release, pitch a story, work with case studies, and write blog posts.

Duties and key responsibilities

Community fundraising

• Manage and develop regional fundraising by devising a regional community fundraising strategy for income generation.
• Design and develop Sarcoma UK's calendar of annual community fundraising campaigns and events communication, including Cuppa and Cake.
• Introduce fundraising opportunities to our existing and potential supporters through a multi-channelled marketing strategy to grow levels of engagement and participation.
• Identify opportunities and recruit new community fundraisers, fundraising groups, corporate and school partners.
• Work with the Fundraising team to produce regular feedback reports and analysis on specific community products and overall revenue.
• Lead on promotion of community fundraising through digital marketing, PR, speaking engagements and on the ground fundraising.

Management

• Provide line management and day-to-day support to the Regional Fundraising Officer North, building their fundraising knowledge.
• Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for your areas of responsibility.

Income Generation

• Implement agreed KPIs, objectives and budget for the Regional Fundraising Team to drive support and engagement.
• Identify fundraising products, key accounts, and projects that will support income growth both locally and nationally.
• Responsible for monitoring and managing all income streams across all community fundraising lines including Gift Aid and working closely with the Operations Team.

Processes, administration, and reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date supporter records on Sarcoma UK’s database (Raiser’s Edge).
• Ensure all recording, and stewardship processes are up to date and working across the fundraising team, wider charity and in accordance with current laws and regulations.
• Ensure necessary Community Fundraising policies are up to date.
• Follow Sarcoma UK’s processes and procedures including risk assessments to ensure a consistent approach and maintain a high level of support expected by our donors and fundraisers.
• Ensure that all activities are compliant with legislation governing fundraising including GDPR, health and safety, Institute of Fundraising, and the Fundraising Regulator Code of Conduct.

Wider fundraising

• Support company and corporate partnerships that utilise community and trade fundraising.
• Support third party fundraising and challenge event portfolio.
• Work with the Events Manager to develop merchandise and trade income opportunities.
• Support with managing merchandise supplier relationships and internal and external stock levels.

General

• The role requires some travel to events and meetings throughout the UK. Some weekend or evening work will also be required and time off in lieu will be given. Travel expenses will be reimbursed (exc. Travel to the Sarcoma UK office).
• Stay up to date with the latest knowledge in fundraising and ensure Sarcoma UK’s processes and procedures follow best practice.
• The post holder will be working in a developing environment, and they will therefore be required to undertake other appropriate duties as necessary for the efficient operation of Sarcoma UK.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Brand Manager to join our Marketing and Income Generation Directorate. You will join us working 35 hours per week on a 12-month fixed term contract and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £46,284 per annum plus excellent benefits.

This is a remote based role however occasional travel for meetings will be required.

Responsibilities of our Brand Manager:

As Brand Manager, you will work across the organisation to manage daily requests for support and approvals on copy and design work that require constant action and collaboration both with teams right across the organisation and with external agency partners to ensure we are delivering a coherent, focused and integrated brand to our audiences. You will work closely with the Campaign Manager to build and track brand performance metrics including awareness, reach, logo recognition and sentiment and provide input and support for other projects/initiatives as required across the charity.

What we’re looking for in our Brand Manager:

• Significant experience in a brand strategy and activation role
• Experience of briefing and management of creatives both in-house and external agencies
• Experience of working and collaborating closely with multiple teams across a large organisation with competing needs
• A solid working knowledge of brand marketing and advertising practices and methods
• Able to manage a heavy and fluctuating workload
• Good understanding of campaign metrics and reporting
• Charity experience is preferred

Katherine Low Settlement is a charity that has been serving Battersea and the wider Wandsworth community since 1924. We are dedicated to building stronger communities and enable people to challenge and find ways out of poverty and isolation.

We run a range of our own community projects to tackle poverty and isolation, and empower and support children, young people and their families, older people, women and refugee communities. We campaign for social change. We also incubate and support local charities and social businesses to thrive, so together we can meet the diverse needs of the local communities of Wandsworth. Katherine Low Settlement’s work with older people

Katherine Low Settlement has worked with older people since its conception in 1924.They are a core part of the community that we continue to work with. We provide, often in partnership, a range of projects and activities for older people including health and wellbeing; creative arts; intergenerational work; connecting people and trips/outings. Our services include an Older People's Lunch Club, Contact Club, T’ai Chi for Elders, exercise and social sessions, and support online.

We work with older people to:

• Encourage active and independent living

• Reduce isolation and loneliness

• Improve well-being and prevent ill-health

• Enable older residents to be dynamic and contributing members of the Wandsworth community.

Key Objectives for the Elders Core Service Manager Role:

1. Team Leadership: Lead a team of dedicated part-time paid staff and volunteers, including a cook, support worker, minibus driver, and sessional workers.
2. Day-to-Day Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Elders Core Service, including the lunch club, transport, social sessions, and overseeing the one-to-one work of the core team.
3. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the wider team to provide a hands-on program that builds on older people's strengths and potential.
4. Monitoring and Evaluation: Support the monitoring and evaluation of the project in collaboration with the Head of Programme.
5. Budget Management: Ensure the program operates within budget constraints.
6. Member Engagement: Support the planning of the core program with input from elder members and the wider team.
7. Recruitment and Support: Recruit and support new and existing members (service users).

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Delivery

• Planning and Oversight: Ensure that all service output aligns with KLS' vision, mission, values, and charitable objectives. Organize and promote one-off activities throughout the year.
• Transport Management: Manage the transport offer, including route planning and pick-up schedules.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate activity records, registers, and casework notes for the core team.
• Outreach and Support: Conduct outreach work with older people in the community, oversee home visits, and manage a small caseload.

2. Staff and Volunteer Management

• Recruitment and Line Management: Recruit and manage the Outreach and Support Workers, Lunch Club Cook, and relevant social activities workers and volunteers.
• Performance Management: Use performance management and quality systems to monitor and evaluate the project's work and processes.

3. Relationships, Communication, and Networks

• Member Engagement: Build and sustain strong relationships with elder members.
• Communication: Oversee communication for the Core Programme, including newsletters, activities calendar, annual reports, and social media platforms.
• Meetings: Attend meetings on behalf of the Core Programme as required.

4. Finance

• Budget Management: Manage project areas to budget and maintain financial records as agreed with the Head of Programme.

5. Other Duties

• Professional Development: Participate in regular management supervision and annual appraisal. Identify job-related development and training needs.
• Professional Conduct: Professionally undertake roles, maintaining a high-quality standard of work in line with KLS's aims, values, and ethos.

Just Like Us is the LGBT+ young people’s charity and works with thousands of schools and young people across the UK through its programmes. The Ambassador programme is a key part of our work at Just Like Us.

This role will be key in ensuring that we have a growing community of LGBT+ young people aged 18-25 who volunteer with Just Like Us. We support them to:

• Use their voice: by delivering school talks, writing for the press and speaking on panels

• Develop their skills: through workshops and mentoring 

• Join a community: volunteer with hundred of other LGBT+ young people 

This role is critical to the delivery of this mission and will support the Head of Volunteering Programmes to meet the needs of our community of LGBT+ young people aged 18-25 and the schools that we work with.

This role will provide the successful candidate with a strong foundation for a career in the voluntary sector. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, with strong organisational and administrative skills, and good communication skills to join a friendly, driven Programmes Team.

About us at the NCT

A lot of people know NCT for our antenatal classes, and we want to continue to support as many parents and families as we can to access evidence-based information. But we are also much more than this. We are a charity that campaigns on the issues that matter to parents. We run breastfeeding and infant feeding support, provided by specialist counsellors. We run thousands of free community activities and events across the UK, led by our fantastic volunteers and peers. And we support women and families facing specific challenges, such as social isolation, feeding difficulties or poor mental health.

Our Hackney Parent Support project is commissioned by Hackney Council, to offer infant feeding support across the region in both community and hospital settings and parenting courses for families throughout the Hackney region. The support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters.

We are seeking a capable NCT Perinatal Service Delivery Manager who is passionate about supporting parents and infant feeding to lead on this project.  This role is home-based but will include travel across the Hackney region (expenses will be reimbursed).

About the role

You will be responsible for managing the parent support project in its entirety across the region. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Leading on perinatal peer support across the region.
• Managing the project staff team.
• Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Hackney area and ensuring all services are accessible and inclusive.
• Engaging with communities through networking with other local organisations.
• Report progress on project status, timelines and delivery against key performance indicators.
• Participate in local perinatal networking/task and finish projects, so that the programme is an integral part of the local perinatal and infant feeding provision landscape, and is able to advocate for and chaperone perinatal service users at a strategic level, raising the profile of NCT’s perinatal offer locally and nationally.

You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.

Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our commissioners, staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
 
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires breastfeeding experience of at least 3 months. The training can be undertaken within your working hours. There will also be training on the EPEC (Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities course) provided by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

The role is 28-35 hours per week which will be predominantly Monday to Friday within the working day, however, will include occasional evening and weekends. This is a home-based role, however travel across Hackney will be required.
