Responsibilities and Person Specification:
This role will form an integral part of our three person Policy and Public Affairs team based in Scotland, working as part of a UK-wide Policy and Influencing team. The role will drive forward our policy projects to reduce poverty in later life, conducting expert research and policy analysis and turning this into persuasive evidence to catch the attention of decision makers and persuaders. The postholder will create opportunities to amplify the voices of older people in poverty and work to secure support for our policy recommendations in Holyrood.
You will have strong research skills with experience of turning quantitative and qualitative data into high quality, persuasive policy outputs. You will have experience developing credible, evidence-based policy solutions, informed by the perspectives and insights of people with lived experience.
You will be a skilled verbal and written communicator with the ability to engage different audiences. You will build strategic relationships with a variety of stakeholders to advance the solutions needed to address poverty in later life, using your knowledge of the political landscape in Scotland and passion for our cause.

We are looking for a capable, proactive person to support the programme from initial mobilisation through to an eventual large-scale trial. The Senior Programme Support Officer will support the Head of Programmes to develop, mobilise and deliver Building Futures. Father Hudson’s Care (FHC) is the social care agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham. We require an experienced senior manager to lead our Community Projects Department. Suitable candidates will have extensive experience in developing and managing services/projects in a community setting and in management of senior staff. As Project Support Officer you will support the Northern Area Manager and Regional Manager with volunteer recruitment, documentation of training (such as DBS, references, Food Safety Level 2, First Aid), giving our volunteers a fantastic experience, guest outreach and giving extra support to our Yorkshire & The Humber projects to aid development and growth within the region.

The Role
As a Heartlands Fundraising Officer you will primarily be based at Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham, with occasional travel to other hospital sites and off site to attend meetings and events.
You will be key in helping to build new relationships with the public and hospital staff within Heartlands Hospital, as well as with existing supporters.
The role includes proactively going out to meet people to provide information about the work of the Charity and inspiring people to fundraise. It also involves spending time in the Charity Hub to speak to hospital staff, patients and members of the public and tell them more about our work.
- Proactively helping to drive and increase income from businesses, business network groups, community groups and individuals to advance the Charity's fundraising ambitions both individually and as part of a wider fundraising team
- Providing excellent stewardship to key supporters and volunteers and build strong relationships with potential new supporters
- Working alongside the Stewardship Team, ensuring accurate data inputting of donations, fundraising, Gift Aid claims and correspondence both written and verbal with supporters
- Building excellent relationships with key clinical colleagues to ensure the different wards and departments are working effectively with the charity
- Collecting donations from across the hospital and meeting donors and fundraisers who come to the hospital

The Role
The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers whose lives are affected by aphasia, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. About You
Knowledge, skills and experience you will ideally have:
· Background in a caring profession, ideally supporting people with disabilities

· A flexible approach and an ability to effectively manage a caseload
