We want to know what\u2019s happening in the sector right now, how this has had an impact on you and what you\u2019re doing to help your community. And, we love hearing about the experience of volunteers and people who are starting their own ventures to be the change they want to see.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CHOOSE A TOPIC\/CATEGORY<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">There are a number of topics that your article can feature under. Here\u2019s a quick break down of what they are so that you can choose the one that\u2019s most\u00a0 suitable:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li><strong>Career advice &#8211; <\/strong>share the very best advice you have for our job seekers. We want to know all about your interview dos &amp; don\u2019ts, strangest questions you\u2019ve been asked as well as how to present yourself (in person and on paper) .<\/li>\n<li><strong>Life at work \u2013 <\/strong>think of the moments that you\u2019ve learned most from in your career and put them on paper. For example, you might want to explain how to transition into a new sector or coping as the newest member of the team.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Volunteering &#8211; <\/strong>give people an insight into what it really means to volunteer for an organisation. We have to hear your stories and learn all about your experiences.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Charity sector \u2013 <\/strong>probably the most vast of all of the sections. This space is for the latest trends affecting charity sector job seekers and recruiters as well as your personal experiences of being in the sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Tone is everything! Make sure that your article is inclusive and accessible. The aim is to help readers feel positive and inspired to take action.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">SOME DO\u2019S &amp; DON\u2019TS<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Do:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Add to the conversation: make sure that what you\u2019ve taken a look at the articles we currently have and consider how your piece can add to this.<\/li>\n<li>Include photos &amp; videos: visuals really brighten a piece of work and encourage readers to engage with your work. Don\u2019t be afraid to include video links or images.<\/li>\n<li>Source any claims made: If you\u2019re writing a piece about changes made to legislation etc. make sure that your quote any sources mentioned.<\/li>\n<li>Think of a title that draws people in:<\/li>\n<li>Provide actionable tips: provide readers with advice that they can put into action right now.<\/li>\n<li>Write in your tone of voice: consider how you would explain your point, advice or experience to a friend. Use that conversational tone when you\u2019re writing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Don\u2019t<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Plagiarise: We take this incredibly seriously and anyone that is thought to have plagiarised will have their content removed from the blog and will not be able to contribute in the future.<\/li>\n<li>Make it too long: Our average articles range from 400-800 words. That\u2019s about 1.5 A4 pages.<\/li>\n<li>Add more than 4x links to other content.
