About Coram
Coram is committed to improving the lives of the UK’s most vulnerable children and young people.
We support children and young people from birth to independence, creating a change that lasts a lifetime.
Coram is the UK’s oldest children’s charity founded by Thomas Coram in London helping vulnerable children and young people since 1739. Today, the Coram group helps more than one million children, young people, families and professionals every year by providing access to the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.
About Coram Beanstalk
Coram Beanstalk wants a future where every child becomes a reader.
We enable people to give children positive experiences of reading through the wider support they need to switch on to reading, learn to read and become confident, independent readers.
We manage over 1,000 volunteers as part of our core business: one to one reading support in primary schools. We also deliver early years and secondary programmes, and training and support to parents/carers, school communities and other organisations. We generate income from these customers and a range of fundraising sources, and the quality and reputation of our volunteers is critical to Coram Beanstalk’s success.
Operating within the Coram Group, Coram Beanstalk has a small and dynamic staff team, with the Salesforce system sitting at the heart of all our activities.
About the role
Predominantly delivering online courses you will often be the first member of the team our volunteers meet and will give them a friendly and informative introduction to Coram Beanstalk. You will also deliver professional, interactive training to external groups including secondary school pupils and school staff, and in-person activity sessions for parents and their young children.
Sitting within our small training team, you will play a role in developing our ongoing learning and development offer for volunteers, secondary pupils and other external groups. You will input into training reviews and support the maintenance and development of our materials, resources and content for training and other external channels.
As a key member of the team, you will have a genuine interest in reading for pleasure and maintain your own knowledge by keeping abreast of the latest developments and trends to maintain and promote the credibility and reputation of our work. You may represent us at external events and will deliver in-person training and workshops to share our reading for pleasure expertise with our school communities and supporters.
Having a strong awareness of children’s needs within the EYFS would be extremely beneficial for this role, and you need to be prepared to get stuck into our Books Together sessions leading rhyme time and other fun activities.

Who are we?
At Worldwide Cancer Research, we start new cures. Cancer is still one of the leading causes of death worldwide, but cutting-edge science can give us hope. Discovery research seeks to uncover new knowledge that could change the way we think about cancer. It reveals new ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer that can save lives.
We actively seek unconventional and imaginative ideas from scientists at all stages of their career, across the globe. In some cases, we are the only organisation that will fund a scientist’s idea. We take an unbiased approach to research funding by focusing on supporting only the best ideas for new cures. By having a diverse research portfolio, we increase our chances of finding breakthroughs.
Our vision is of a day when no life is cut short by cancer, and we believe we can achieve this by starting the life-saving advances of the future by sowing the seeds of discoveries. Anyone that helps bring forward breakthroughs – including our staff, our supporters, and the researchers we fund – is a Curestarter.
As a charity, we are committed to opportunity without barriers, and we are striving to seek, value and learn from different perspectives and experiences. We want Worldwide Cancer Research to be an inclusive organisation – where everyone can be themselves and feel valued – as diverse as the scientific community we fund and the families whose lives we impact.
We are committed to ensuring that we provide equal opportunities to every applicant regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. We aim to ensure that our recruitment process is unbiased and that everyone is treated equitably. Mae diogelu yn fusnes i bawb ac mae TACT yn credu mai dim ond y bobl sydd â’r sgiliau a’r gwerthoedd iawn ddylai weithio ym maes gwaith cymdeithasol. Fel rhan o ymrwymiad TACT i ddiogelu, rydym yn archwilio sgiliau, profiad, cymwysterau a gwerthoedd darpar staff mewn perthynas â’n gwaith gyda phlant ifanc agored i niwed. Rydym yn defnyddio dulliau recriwtio trwyadl a chyson i helpu i ddiogelu pobl ifanc TACT. Disgwylir i’n holl staff weithio yn unol â pholisïau diogelu TACT.
Nid yw TACT yn derbyn dogfennau CV digymell gan asiantaethau recriwtio allanol nac yn derbyn y ffioedd sy’n gysylltiedig â nhw.
Mae TACT yn cadw’r hawl i newid dyddiad cau’r swydd ar ôl i ni gael digon o geisiadau, felly rydym yn eich cynghori i gyflwyno eich cais cyn gynted â phosibl er mwyn osgoi cael eich siomi.
